Even though we are long time Las Cruces residents I’m ashamed to say we just tried Si for the first time today. We will, however, return again and again. We had a wide variety of food from salads to classic Italian dishes(the marinara is wonderful) to steak and it was all very good(the medium rare steaks were perfect, even steak centered places here have a hard time getting medium rare right). The bread and garlic olive oil to start with is delicious and a great appetizer on it’s own. To top off the great food was the excellent service, our table server(believe her name was Ryan) and the lady who served us in the bakery were genuinely friendly and helpful. We have a very energetic 3 year old and many places(even diners) give us the impression kids aren’t welcome… however, here even the 3 year was treated with kindness and he ate more of his food from Si than he does fast food kiddie meals. This instantly became our favorite family dinner spot.

I visited this restaurant just to get some dessert and coffee. Upon entering this restaurant you discover how cool a converted house can be when transformed into a restaurant. There are so many cool places to eat inside. Si’s Italian has multi levels of rooms available all very elegant. It’s the kind of restaurant that puts you to ease when you arrive and I felt my stresses just disappear once I was in this relaxed environment.
The customer service is impeccable. But what I really want to mention is the desserts they serve. In particular, the cheesecake they serve is out of this world. Really the best I have ever tasted(seriously). I plan to go back and have a meal when I’m back in town.

Definitely my favorite restaurant in Las Cruces. This is coming from a New York Italian guy who knows how to cook great Italian food. I’m always very full and happy when I leave this place. Like the other Unilocalers I chose the Chicken Jersusalem. It’s to die for. Lots of chicken mushrooms and artichoke in a delicious white wine sauce. Not to be repetitive but there deserts are exceptional as mentioned in other reviews. I had the Ambrosia cake with pineapple, pecans and coconuts and a huge slice to boot. This meal was accentuated by the great service from Isaacs. Ask for him and he’ll treat you right. Best of all there was a female guitar player on Thursday night. It was also very reasonable priced and plenty of food and a huge desert. Thanks for a great meal.

My burger was dry. It was too loud. Couldn’t hear or have conversations with family. Wait staff was slow. The men’s bathroom smelled awful and was dirty.

Wonderful food, a vast wine collection and friendly service. A must stop in Las Cruces. We had the chicken Marsala and lasagne all cooked to perfection!

We ordered the Antipasti plate as an appetizer. Very nice presentation. Prosciutto was very old, tasted rancid. The wife had chicken Piccatta that was cafeteria quality at best. I had Lasagna Napolentana. It looked nice but was burned and had a very bitter taste. I could not eat it. I must say that I would have been much happier with Stouffer’s frozen lasagna. It is stunning to me that a restaurant with fairly decent ratings could serve such crap. On the bright side, Dustin was a very good server. He was polite, efficient, friendly and helpful. I do not complain or send food back. I never do this. I can’t risk the wrath of the«chef»(being very generous in my description in this case). I simply never go back. Honestly, the Olive Garden serves a significantly better meal than this place for a much lower price. We spent $ 50 and didn’t order alcohol. This joint is off our list of go-to eateries. Back to Chili’s I guess.

By far my favorite restaurant in the area. Chicken piccata and chicken jerusalem are my favorites. Only dish i didn’t seem to care for was the chicken marsala… little too bitter for my taste, but overall the dishes are solid choices in comparison to any Italian place I’ve ever been to in Philly or NY(went to school in these areas.) Any time they are serving the lemon artichoke soup for the day GETIT! And the deserts are amazing. Won’t go wrong with any choice from the desert menu. Staff is always attentive and the owner is very pleasant to talk with when she makes her rounds on the tables. I’ll be going back here over and over and over…

These best pizza I’m town so far!!! And make sure to save room for dessert. Lots of awesome choices, but a cheap and easy selection is the cream puffs. Perfectly fluffy and excellent filling. I never write reviews but this place deserves it!

Our waiter Isaac was a delight! He was attentive, pleasant, and did a great job of up selling. I completely fell for it! I noticed an old friend(Arthur) in the kitchen on my way out, so he must have had a part in cooking the delicious meal. He takes great pride in making delicious food, and it definitely showed when our dinner hit the table. The green chile chicken soup was steaming hot and full of flavor. The entrees were cooked perfectly and were exactly what we were craving. The manager was pleasantly working the dining room, and checked in with each table. We will most definitely return… sooner than later! Keep up the great work :)

WOW. This place is amazing! My husband and I went here for a date night. I ordered the seafood pasta dish with scallops, mussels, strip, ect. I cannot remember what it was called but it was to die for! My husband ordered chicken and artichoke pasta, he enjoyed it as well. They serve delicious garlic oil and bread for appetizer. I’d recommend their italian crème sodas to pair with your meal. The original is amazing(my husband ordered that one…) I ordered the strawberry. There’s also a ton of items to choose for dessert. We tried the cheesecake and a piece of key lime pie. We also brought a piece of cake home for the kids as a treat. No complaints, totally amazing!

Wow!!! Amazing food, amazing service! I had the chicken Jerusalem… and they don’t have the BESTDESSERTAWARD for nothing. The only thing is that they don’t have a changing table in the restroom, but it makes sense that it’s difficult to update an old historical house.

We went after dark and I was kind of worried because of the neighborhood. But then we ended up at a little house and a full parking lot on a Tuesday night! We walked in and saw the fresh made pastries and knew we were in for a treat! I had the Chicken Jerusalem and oh my goodness! It was amazing. Artichokes, mushrooms and a lemon wine cream sauce. My husband had a lemon shrimp pasta and it was great as well. We for ½ dozen chocolate chip cookies and a slice of tiramisu to go! Nothing better than eating sweets in your hotel room!

Came to this place based on Unilocal reviews. Entrees were good, my party had the eggplant Parmesan, spaghetti and meat sauce, chicken Parmesan. Food was B+. We drove in from San Antonio, an eight hour drive, and after checking in to the Hotel Encanto came straight here. Service was attentive bit slow. Once you finally did get them to come to your table they were responsive. I had to wait too long for refills. They had live music and we weren’t really there for that but it appears most patrons were and didn’t care about the slowness because it gave them an excuse to make a ceremony and event out of the situation, we just wanted to eat and leave because we were hungry and tired. They need to get the ceiling tiles that are collapsing replaced, looks bad and sends the wrong message about upkeep. Restaurant has a vague stench and probably needs a good wiping down. Complimentary bread was good and fresh but not warm. The desserts were advertised as made from scratch in house but were the worst desserts I’ve ever had in a restaurant. For that alone I took off a star. The food is good enough to return to if the service was better, but I would not return based on today’s overall experience.

We were on vacation in Las Cruces this summer and came across this place. We were greeted with fridendly smiles and taken care of right away. The waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable about the food.(thats rare these days) We had a lovely time drinking and eating while watching the rain outside. When we do head back to Las Cruces this will be a definite stop for us. A piece of our Texas(San Antonio) hearts stayed in Las Cruces, NM that day.

What a wonderful hidden gem in Las Cruces! My group showed up an hour before closing, and were probably the last group in the restaurant, but we never felt rushed. Our waiter, Garrett, provided great service and had a sense of humor to boot. The restaurant is located in a charming old house, so even though the neighborhood looks a bit sketchy, you feel warm and cozy the second you step inside. Dinner was good from start to finish., from the house made bread, to the entrees, and even the surprise birthday dessert. I ordered the vegetable risotto, which was filled with veggies– just the way I like it! And everyone at the table seemed to enjoy their food as well. Excellent food and service, it will definitely be on my list if I’m ever in Las Cruces again.
