Walking through the mall that spans the Luxor and Mandalay Bay, my husband told me to stop. When I ask why, he told me that Hall of Fame-er, Pete Rose was RIGHTTHERE. Right whee? I asked him. and he pointed, Where he pointed was«Art of Music». So I stopped and walked back to the location. Sure enough, there was an aging, Pete Rose in the window signing autographs. The store was lovely, I didn’t bother purchasing anything since it was busy with the signing, but hey. Pete Rose!

ESPN made me do it. Their short chronicling where the greatest pure hitter in Major League Baseball, Pete Rose has ended up in his life. The video was sad, and reality was even more sad. I really feel for the man who has to try and make a buck selling himself. I did partake, and bought a baseball, signed by the legend himself for just over a hundred dollars(with the case included) The store itself is just a plethora of musical, and some sports memorabilia, but the minute I stepped towards the store, the staff were all focused on getting me to buy some Pete Rose gear to be signed and«meet the man». Sadly, you are only given a few minutes with the guy, and while he does speak with you, it feels somewhat distant and awkward. Certainly not as engaging as some of the other stars I have spent much less money to see and meet. I guess the old adage does ring true. don’t meet your heroes for fear of disappointment in what they have become.

Pretty cool and expensive pictures & autographs. Movie stars, athletes, presidents and rock stars. You name it they probably have it. I only purchased one item for $ 4… Couldn’t even think about buying anything else. Pete Rose was signing autographs the day we went in. We cruised the whole store, spent about 20 minutes in there and only 3 customers purchased items in order to meet Pete Rose. The employees were practically begging people to come in. It was kinda sad. Over all it’s an ok place if you have money to spend and in the market for some memorabilia. Their website has a calendar of who will be there signing autographs if you’re interested. If you happen to be in Vegas and find yourself walking by then it’s worth 2 minutes.
