We tried to eat here while our plane was being delayed but the waitress messed up our order so we didn’t get food by the time we were boarding. She still charged us for our drinks however. Not good service and won’t return.

Five star service, airport food. Tonight Amy was my bartender. Amidst a very steady flow she took care of everyone in a very timely manner. And I mean timely for the airport which equates to extremely quickly in real life. Provides info before it is asked for(such as letting you know the soup when dropping off the menu). Friendly, efficient, awesome. Looking forward to seeing her next week(as well as the beer and side shot deal) but food is noticeably airport quality. Will smarten up and ask for suggestions next week!

Breakfast at the airport, really, uncooked bacon and over easy eggs broken an hard as a rock. This place needs a cook who cares what they are serving.

This was a nice surprise at the Albany airport. The food quality was good for airport food, and the menu was large enough to keep me interested yet small enough not to make me confused. The eggs I ordered were solid. The bacon, though, was fantastic. It had the right amount of crisp on the outside and tender fattiness in the middle. As I ate it, I knew I would have to savor the experience. Bacon is so popular with people from different generations and backgrounds, yet 90 percent of the bacon cooked in this world tastes like garbage. It’s either nuked or super flaccid. Silks Saratoga’s bacon skills aren’t as amateurish as most places. The service was a bit slow, which was a little irritating since my group was one of only 3 groups in the restaurant and we had a plane to catch. But the waiter was extremely nice and eager to please, so I can forgive them for it.

Stopped at Silks while waiting for my flight to Baltimore. This was my 3rd stop at Silks & was the best visit I have had. Service was good. Had the Western Omelette with a delicious side of bacon. It was truly satisfying. Traveling through Albany airport — definitely have a quick meal at Silks.

Saratoga Chips unique experience. Enjoyed the flavor. Waffle fries were great. Bacon Cheddar Burger was nondescript and very greasy. Unclear as to why there was no barbecue sauce with the burger. What other restaurant serves a Bacon Cheddar Burger without barbecue sauce? Wait staff in the bar was very attentive. Wait staff in dining room were horrible. I sat for 15 minutes and they waited on the couples sitting around me! No, it was not overly busy. Ended up moving to the bar to receive service, then one of the waitresses got snippy with me for leaving. Management needs to take a good look at who is representing their company. One or two can be replaced.

Typical bland airport food. Had the chili and French Dip sandwich. The chili had to be canned chili. There is just no way fresh chili can ever taste that bad. As for the French dip, the sandwich bread was good but meat was dry and the horseradish sauce was blah. The side of fries were nice and crunchy and delicious. Bland bland bland!

Just an OK for airport food. Food was made to order which is a big plus(meaning it wasn’t frozen). Wait time less than 15 minutes and good place(actually only place) to hang out pre-flight. Nice waitress, good service and YES… kid menu. Looks like I’ll be back, especially if I come back to Albany.

The highlight of my time at the Albany airport has always been Silks. I tell people everywhere about their crab omelet. Simply the best one I have ever had. Sadly, though not unexpectedly, the management has decided that serving their best dishes isn’t the path for them. The menu has changed and their best items are all gone. Also, the menu itself has been replaced with a crappy pamphlet looking thing. I wonder of there is a new owner who has taken over and decided to «fix» the restaurant? Now, the other eating choice here, a McDonald’s, is much more viable option. I chose not to order the boring stuff that has been putt on the new menu, clearly stolen from a Denny’s menu. I opted for the coffee, it was weak. This airport has little redeeming value now. Sad

Stopped in prior to departing for some lunch. Ordered the Caesar salad and chili. Both were okay but nothing great. Service was a bit slow.

I’ve been really impressed with this place each of the times I’ve dining here. No matter if it’s breakfast, salads sandwiches, or preflight happy hour bar-food appetizers, every bite has been delicious and I’m happy to have a place serving cider, always. :) Lots of places to sit — I like sitting at the bar facing out into the airport where you can watch planes out the window as you dine/drink.

Silks Saratoga Bistro is probably the best option available at the airport. I had ordered the salmon, hoping that it would be a safe option. But unfortunately, it was heavily seasoned. As for the waffle fries — they were edible. Let’s just say the food looked more delicious than it tasted.

Ribeye sandwich and waffle fries — EXCELLENT. Service was fast and friendly. Great atmosphere and not too crowded(airport places sometimes try to pack you in like sardines)

This place has every single item from the menu of the pub further into the terminal(right by the gates), but it also has more. And, bonus, we got served there. We went to the place near the gates first because I wanted to use the large tables to work while we waited for our flight — and in 10 minutes, no one even came over to offer us water. Silks Saratoga Bistro was much better. My caprese sandwich was delicious, they had a decent enough beer selection, and the waitress was aware of our timeline. Everything came quickly, including the check. A much better choice than the McDonald’s(This seems like a given, but the food choices at Albany International are fairly limited). I’ll be back.

Best option for this airport. Standard American food here. Got the turkey club and it hit the spot. They do incredible waffle fries and have their bacon game on lock because it’s just about on everything here. Cold cut quality could be a little better. The women working here are perfect.

There are some slim pickings at the Albany International airport(as compared with other airports, especially those that have the word«international» in their title), so Silks Saratoga Bistro was the clear winner as my lunch destination while I waited for my flight back home to DC. I figured that at least the other Unilocal reviews for the place weren’t as abysmal as for the other airport restaurant options I’d researched. I ordered a drink — a glass of wine — and it was amazingly fresh and perfect with the grilled sandwich I ordered. I ordered the Reuben on Rye and found that it was excellent. I also enjoyed the fries that came with the meal. My waitress was extremely friendly and chatty and I really appreciated that. I liked the ambiance in general — it was half diner-style and half-«I’m-sitting-at-the-airport-bar-and-casually-sipping-on my-cocktail-like-a-classy-person-OK-where’s-my-plane.» That’s the exact vibe I got from this place. And I liked it. I recommend visiting if you’re at the Albany airport for any stretch of time. Honesty, I think it’s probably your best food option at the airport. Your other options are McD’s, Dunkin Donuts, and a couple of restaurants with 2-star ratings on Unilocal

This is probably the best dining option at the airport. They have a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, and more. Overal it’s airport food, but at least the wait staff is nice and attentive and the food is decent and not horribly over priced.

I had an emergency landing in Albany. Yup, my plane was headed from NYC to Montréal and had to land in Albany, forcing all 38 of us to hang out in the airport for a few hours while waiting for another airplane to be sent to pick us up. While the airline got us pizza and water, I longed for a beer to calm my nerves. The first bar I found had a shitty selection, so the bartender told me about Silks having more options. I was happy to find some decent beer choices, and settled on a craft beer. A nice chat with the bartender turned into a free second beer as he was just going to pour it out. Also, they had power outlets at the bar for you to charge your phone or laptop. All airport bars should have this!!! Obviously I am not rushing back to Albany to go to Silks, but for an airport bar, it couldn’t have gone much better.

I was very surprised at how good the food quality was here. I didn’t expect much since it’s in an airport, but even the iced tea was good. Ordered the chopped steak salad — the steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned; the salad was crispy and fresh. The blue cheese crumbles on the salad were great quality as was the blue cheese dressing(ordered on the side… it was cold with big chunks of blue cheese). The only(minimal) complaint was that the salad wasn’t a true chopped salad… the pieces of lettuce were pretty big. My companion had a burger with waffle fries(yes– I stole a few fries and they were delicious) — solid review of the burger as well. Service was friendly and efficient… I will absolutely go here again if I need to catch a meal… and I’m stuck doing it at the Albany airport.
