They make the best pizza in New Jersey. Their food is consistently great. The service is above average. They know how to treat people. The specials change each week which keeps it interesting. I would highly recommend eating at LENNYS. You’ll LOVE it. It’s a must.

I usually get pizza from here a few times every summer. It’s good, not much more to say. I guess this is a pizza only review as I haven’t really tried the rest of their menu, although they do have a full Italian menu and dine-in as well as takeout and delivery. It’s always satisfying, the slices are pretty large, and I’ve always gotten in and out quickly. There’s not a massive amount of pizza options north of Seaside, so it can get busy. In the primetime summer months, parking around here can be a pain, but just circle and you’ll find a spot.

I stayed in Lavallette at my beach house which I rarely do in winter. With no food in the fridge I decided to order the Salmon and Spinach dish and pick it up. The food was very well prepared. The spinach was sauted nicely in garlic/oil and salmon was delish. The roasted potatoes on the side were also prepared well. The cost was not«cheap» approx $ 20 but in this life you get what you pay for. Well done. Happy customer.

Garbage. Ordered once… not great. Had people over so I thought I’d give this place a 2nd chance. Worse than the first time. Poor quality, bland sauce, tasteless cheese. Horrible waste of money. Twice. There will be no 3rd.

Lenny’s is our foot place for Italian food on the island. There is sometimes a wait, but hang on it’s worth it! The wait staff are friendly and work hard to make your visit enjoyable. The host, Armond is the best on the island! Try the cannoli for dessert!

Simply put. This is the best Pizza anywhere. I travel over a thousand miles at least once or twice a year for the pie. For 30 years they have been the best. And the service and ownership is the top if the heap. Love this place and the people.

Ok, here’s the basics. Price Yup, it costs a little more. I define value in this space by a few things. I enjoy good food made by good people with consistency. Lots of people toot there own horn(best pizza. blah blah blah) but have an average(at best) product that they have to charge less to convince you to buy it. Pizza. The dough has the right consistency as well as just enough flavor. If you’re a breadaholic as I am, you know what I mean here. It has flavor on its own… but not too much. The cheese is obviously whole milk and not cut with oil. When your slice drips oil, it’s usually because its oil… not whole milk. It’s has a rather unique mild sweetness that pares very well with the quality cheese and homemade sauce. The sauce is delicious but I understand that it’s personal preference. Lenny’s tastes different than the rest, it’s own style that is easily distinct from common pizza that is everywhere. That’s the big thing, it actually is quite distinguishable from just about anywhere else. Dinners The Italian staples are done well… above expectation and with generous portions. The summers can be quite busy with lines out the door, so it’s hard to critique the place during those times. Just keep in mind that there is a line out the door for a reason. For me, fall through spring is where things get exciting. This is when Phil puts together experimental new dishes and try’s new things… things that are hard to find if you’re a foodie like me. Things like elk chops… harvest chowder soup… kale(before it was the new black). They are family guys that have a ton of pride for what they do and how they can make you happy while supporting their community and it shows.

Try the salads. Or the pizza. Or the pasta. Or anything! So good! We ordered pizza, pasta, gnocchi, wings, cake, Stromboli and an Italian hoagie — all were awesome. Plenty of servers and help for sit down or take out food. Very friendly service and price was right. When at the shore — stop by Lenny’s!

I eat at Lenny’s whenever I come down to the shore and I’m in the mood for some pizza. Lenny’s is a reliable and delicious meal which always satisfies me. We had a 25 – 30 min wait which was only really less than 10 and they kept our reservation even though our whole party wasn’t around(they went walking around for like 25 – 30 min). Someone who seemed like a manager helped us to our seats and our waitress was friendly and helpful. My party of 5 got a chicken parm pizza, spaghetti and marinara sauce, grilled chicken with broccoli rabe and penne, and chicken bruschetta. On everything, it was tasty and cooked fantastically! The broccoli rabe could’ve been cooked a little more in my opinion because it was«stemmy». Overall like I said, a reliable and delicious sidewalk pizza place that deserves 4 stars. I would gladly have given it 4.5 but I can’t, and what would’ve earned the 5 stars is if someone came to the table and checked on how our meal was doing because I love that ish. Makes me feel warm and tingly and important.

Been eating at Lenny’s for years. This should be your goto place for Italian and pizza. Have been here tons of times and they are always spot on with recipes, flavors, portions and service. You won’t be disappointed.

Seems to be I’m writing about the same issue other people are writing about this week… horrible customer service! Walked in for slices, but was told by extremely unfriendly girl who didn’t even make eye contact that they only serve plain slices. Seriously? Your on rt. 35 north which has tons of foot traffic and you only serve plain slices? Umm… ok, might want to revise that plan. Both of the guys. maybe owners(?) walked past me while waiting and neither made eye contact, no pleasant hello, nothing. It’s a Tuesday night not a weekend so they were busy, but nothing crazy. Paid the girl, no thank you or goodbye from her and I went on my merry way. Slices are totally average and taste like they were made yesterday. Next time I’ll drive the extra couple of blocks to The Oven to get good, hot slices and a little bit of friendly jersey shore hospitality while I wait! Btw-I’m just pushed over the edge today by the bad service, snippy counter girl and bad pizza! Usually I order pies and meals and have been happy so I never knew about the«plain slices only» policy.

Had to wait hour an a half for pizza pie and calamari. Ok understandably so on a Friday night down the jersey shore but give me a break. I’ve had better pizza. calamari was decent which is worth the one star. Don’t think I’d be ordering from here again.

Terrible delivery service and terrible food. We ordered 4 items for $ 60!(Pepperoni and sausage calzone, Tuscan salad w/grilled chicken, grilled chicken with broccoli, and a chick parm sub). Took an hour for delivery which is pretty standard. This issue was that they didn’t deliver the chick parm sub and the grilled chicken for the Tuscan salad was missing. I called to see if the driver just forgot asked if anything else was missing and told me they’ll send the missing items. 40 mins later the same driver dropped off the missing items. No apologizes through the process. FYI — The $ 20 grilled chicken and broccoli dinner entrée contains 1 completely overcooked very small piece of chicken, some generic penne, and steamed broccoli served in an oily white wine sauce. $ 20!!! It was our fault for thinking there was something special about ‘On the Lighter Side’ menu. The calzone was the only decent item. Definitely not worth going back for. Save your money and go somewhere else where your entire family can all eat at the same time and for a lot less money. Honestly, it’s a standard Italian restaurant menu for way too much money. Go elsewhere.

Been coming to Lenny’s for years and always have a great experience! Their bread is great(especially if you dip it in the mussels and medium hot red sauce) YUM! I prefer their penne over the linguini but that’s personal preference. I’ve had the shrimp scampi and a few chicken dishes and they have all been wonderful! Great Italian BYOB!

I had a personal pizza with meatball on it. Overall Great pizza. It was just the right size to feed one person. Could have had more meat on it but that’s a preference thing so I won’t knock them for it. Probably one of the better pizzas in the area. I didn’t get a chance to try any of the entrees but I’ve heard pretty good things… If your down the shore, check out Lenny’s. You won’t be disappointed.

Their pizza is really great. Whether you’re from NY or NJ, this pizza will leave you happy, satisfied, and full. Their subs are also a great choice. I haven’t dined in much, except for one time, for as many years they’ve been open, but for no other reason than it was always more convenient to order take out. Because I’m a health nut I get their garden salad with grilled chicken. The grilled chicken is seasoned well and not overly cooked or rubbery. They always remember to put the salad dressing on the side and the portions are of a nice size. The wait times for food can be pretty substantial sometimes, and I would never do delivery because it takes wayyyyy too long, but the food itself is really great.

The food at Lenny’s of Lavalette is good but definitely overpriced. Two cheesesteaks wound up costing me $ 30. The price on the menu was $ 11. I told the person on the phone that I wanted onions, peppers, and mushrooms on each cheesesteak. It turns out that onions, peppers, and mushrooms are all an extra $ 1 each. Seriously? Who does that? Those three toppings generally come with a cheesesteak. You’re better off going to Mia’s. If you do place a take out order with Lenny’s, make sure to ask him for the total so that you’ll have time to cancel the order if you don’t agree with their prices.
