Kickshaws

Went to Kauai Beer Company for dinner. Their was a big line for this food truck, and we found out why. While it took 15 – 20 minutes to come out, it was well worth it. I got the 100% American Burger and my wife got the grilled cheese. Both were amazing! Go here, you won’t regret it.

The best pulled pork sandwich I’ve had in Kauai! You will not be disappointed. I can’t wait to try the other items. The meat was tender and tasty and I really enjoyed the green beans also.

Best burger I’ve had in a while. If you want a break from resort hotel food this place is great!

Absolutely amazing cheesesteaks and friendly service! We’ve been visiting Kauai for a week, and we had some of our favorite food on the island here!

Just finished kayaking to secret falls and was in need of a snack and some shaved ice (from the fresh shave). Went here and got the fish sandwich which was a seared ahi tuna sandwich caught the day prior with delicious veggies. The freshness can’t be beat and the flavor was great! I can’t believe I got the freshest seared ahi tuna sandwich ever from a food truck for a great value too! Can’t be beat.

I have to agree with a prior reviewer… this was THE best cheese steak I’ve ever ever had. I too shared my first one regrettably. Went back and ate another on the spot and took one to go. How is it so damn delicious?! And friendly service too. Can’t wait to return to Kauai and have it again.

Amazing!!! I got the Cubano and husband got the 100% and shared the Mac n Cheese waffles. Possibly the best food truck food I have ever had! Yum!

As residents of Kauai who frequent many restaurants both on and off island, the «Awesome burger» and «PBAT (pork belly) burger» were some of DA BEST and tasty burgers on the island! Wonderful ohana serving us and the cutest little girl It was so onolicious that we had these for dinner last night and again this! Definitely will be supporting local again soon!

Are you reading this review as you pass kickshaws? Well, pump the brakes and make a u-​turn! The food is amazing! We got the burger, cheesesteak, and the vegan bihn sandwich. I can’t quite remember the name of the vegan meal, but I do remember the flavor. Don’t be scared of the tofu, it was the best sandwich out of the three. A melody of flavors plays Beethoven on your taste buds. All good comes with some chips and corn which were also tasty. All the food was great, so check it out!

Amazing food truck! We had the grilled cheese with olive and fig tapenade and the pulled pork sandwich. Both were delicious! Great find at Hanalei Friday nights. Probably the best grilled cheese I have ever had. Great service as well. Highly recommend!

I’m going to do my best to stay calm as I write this review… no promises.
Hands down. THE BEST cheese steak I have EVER had the pleasure of eating. I mean. Delicious AF! I would go so far as to say life changing. Because I live here and they are my new go-​to food truck. They will actually get me to Truck Stop on Thursdays at the Kauai Beer Company. That’s saying something.
The first time I had it, I went halvsies with my buddy and instantly regretted the decision to share. But thankfully we were splitting another plate from their truck at the same time and the pulled pork was mouth watering perfection as well.
I then had the cheese steak again 3 days later as lunch and then again that night for dinner. I’m not saying I’m addicted… but I would be the first to start a support group if anyone needs to talk about it.
Lastly, the chocolate monkey… Jesus. So good. I didn’t know if I’d like it, as I’ve never been on the Nutella wagon but as it turns out, they can do no wrong inside this truck.

Cubano Sandwich was the best i have ever had! Better than south florida!
Excellent ingredients, pork so tasty delicious and tender! Perfectly cooked! Crunchy bread.
Awesome Burger is local Kauai grass fed beef. So incredibly tasty and tasty.
Banh Mi vegetarian tempeh sandwich has authentic Thai flavors.
Brussels Sprouts seared and crunchy yum.
Grilled Cheese was dripping in cheese, tasty cherry jam. Golden brown Crisp Bread. Another perfectly cooked item.

Love to find exceptional food trucks! Limited menu but the 100% awesome burger is just that!!!

Holy smokes batman! This place was awesome! I was searching for a must-​eat spot near Hanapepe as I wanted to pick up taro chips for the coworkers. Kickshaws popped up on my Unilocal radar so I made my way here after picking up the rental car.
Tucked away on Koloa road, they had a nice sized gravel lot to park in, and a couple of benches to sit on and enjoy your lunch.
The workers were really nice and offered me a loyalty card. Buy 10 meals and the next one is free. The woman who took my order (the owner? not sure) was really sweet and her baby was dressed up as Chucky which I thought was creepy but the baby was cute. I ordered the cheesesteak. It came with chips and broccoli (different but good). The cheesesteak was awesome. It was not a Philly-​style as the meat was not thinly sliced, but the flavor was AMAZING! So yummy!
I appreciated that the workers all seemed to know the regulars. I hope to make this a stop on my monthly trips to Kauai for work!

Hands down the BEST food truck on the island!
Everything I’ve tried here is great. The grilled cheese sandwiches are so perfect and the 100% Awesome Burger could EASILY be called the 200% Awesome Burger! All the ingredients are fresh and all the recipes are so cool and innovative (including a lot of the cooking techniques). PLUS they have a rotating menu so there’s always something new to try!
If you’re ever in Hanapepe for a Friday Art Night, you need to stop by Kickshaws. You won’t be disappointed!

So this morning I woke up super hungry. Tbh I didn’t feel like cooking and I wanted to try something new and different, so I turn to a reliable source: Unilocal of course :) I decided to search «sandwiches» and the first place that pops up was Kickshaws. This place has so much good reviews so I decided why not try this place. And I’m GLAD I did!
I got the Scarftastic Shredded Pork Banh Mi (because I love Vietnamese food) and their banh mi is the kick a** upgraded version of the original banh mi. I loved it!
I had to wait a while for it but that’s because they take their time with each order and it’s hot and fresh off the grill. You definitely can’t go wrong with it and it’s worth the wait. :)

i tried kickshaws during oktoberfest at kauai beer company. it was crazy busy and they took my order and had it out to me in great time.
the havarti filled grilled cheese was one of the best sandwiches i’ve ever had! holy moly amazing.
i am not sure where they’re normally parked in lihue, but i should definitely go back and try some of the other items on their menu.
