I help organize events for Live Oak Moms, a local moms group in the North Austin area. Last month I contacted Mandi at Tiger Rock to ask if she would be interested in hosting our moms group. I was astounded at how receptive Mandi was to having us come visit Tiger Rock (especially on such short notice). Mandi and her colleagues set-​up four amazing sessions for our kids to attend. The kids in this moms’ group range in age from three to ten and Mandi was able to customize classes to challenge them all! One thing that really impressed me about Tiger Rock upon our arrival for the playdates was that Mandi’s older students helped facilitate the classes for our kids. The students were extremely kind and patient with our kids and made them feel at ease while participating in the martial arts instruction. While observing the classes I was really pleased to see that the kids were learning a broad range of skills that went well beyond what I would have expected from a martial arts experience. The kids were participating in activities that challenged them physically, that helped promote the development of both gross and fine motor skills, and general coordination. I could see how the class would also help support the development of problem solving and social skills. The kids remained engaged throughout the class and had so much fun while they learned! It is evident that Mandi and the Tiger Rock staff love what they do and take pride in investing in their students. I look forward to enrolling my kids at Tiger Rock and watching them grow under the instruction of Mandi and her team.
