This is the best steakhouse in the lewis clark valley, hands down. The food is incredible, service awesome, and to boot the best drink in town. Upstairs, the bar is a smoke free environment with a food menu to die for. You will not get better seafood, especially boiled shimp in the entire state of Idaho and I’m from Sun Valley Idaho prior to moving to Lewiston. Downstairs is a tablecloth service 3 course steak and seafood restaurant with great food at more than reasonable prices. I might add it is family owned since the early 70s and 98% of the employees including, cooks have been employed for a decade or more. That’s saying something about this establishment.

Excellent service, excellent food. Well worth the money. The steaks are so good. You are not hungry when you leave. Great value.

It’s an iconic restaurant for our LCValley. Great wait-staff and you never leave with an empty stomach, you have bread, salad, spaghetti, your course which includes a side and your choice of entrée! Great flavor and good prices for steak!

Great service! We had a party of 9 for my dad’s 70th birthday, and the servers were awesome.

Was told by locals I should try this place. Not exactly sure why, since everything I had was inedible. I ordered their spaghetti and meatball dinner because my stomach wasn’t feeing up to anything too greasy. It looked good when it came out, but looks were deceiving. The sauce was all pepper, literally the only spice I could taste in the dish. The meatballs were bland. I had about two bites of spaghetti, tried it with parmesan(which didn’t help) and then gave up on it. I also tried the French onion soup. Bad idea. It smelled really good, but was overall a hot mess. Not a traditional French onion soup, but a sad attempt at a less complicated version. The only thing I enjoyed even a little bit was their complimentary bread, which they actually made me pay for. Soooo… they didn’t make me pay for the spaghetti, which was the least they could do. Won’t be recommending this place to anyone.

Pretty good. My rare prime rib was actually medium well. The spaghetti is crap, as well as the rice pilaf. Decent meat at a decent price though. The bite-sized steak my wife ordered was interesting and quite tender but lacked flavor. All in all I would do it again, but only after I exhausted other venues in town. Very friendly staff.

Prime rib was overcooked, «spaghetti» was noodles and tomato sauce. I’ve had better beef at Arby’s. Can’t understand what the fuss is about here. If you want good steaks go to Smoke Shak.

Almost always good food, usually VERY busy. Not good for handy-cap access or those who find it difficult to do stairs, you could sit in the bar but that area is EXTREMELY noisy & hard to find a table, also no free spaghetti & bread. Plan on waiting 20+ minutes for a table if you go after 6pm – they’re that busy & that good. You do have to go through the bar to get down stairs. The spaghetti & bite size are always good, but sometimes spaghetti is really spicy & sometimes only a little spicy(a little spicy is best :)). The bite size this last time was way overdone on the outside, although the inside was good. All the servers are pretty good. Shari is the best one. Wish they had an elevator or a way to get to them without stairs.

This place was recommended to us by a fellow who works at the hotel we were staying. My husband ordered the New York steak. I had the Halibut. His steak was huge and cooked perfectly. He can eat alot and he only finished half the steak. I loved the French onion soup! Fantastic! My halibut was nothing special. I wouldn’t recommend it but I did think the rice pilaf was very good. My favorite though wss the spaghetti! !! Omg! I never order spaghetti at a restaurant but this came with our meal, and Im glad it did. Most delicious sauce ever! My husband and I both agreed we would go back for the spaghetti alone. Yes it was that good!!! In fact I cant wait to go back again and when I do I’ll be ordering extra to bring home!

Hands down, best steak in town. The bite size steak is what this place is known for. The headliner here is bite size and broiled shrimp, which is darn good. All meals come with salad, spaghetti and bread and you won’t go home hungry. This is the kind of place you take a date to, a customer or for a birthday for an above-average meal, which is hard to find in Lewiston.

Very nicely decorated bar and dining area. Initially it looked like the don’t-wanna-go-home-yet business happy hour crowd but also there were blue collar types(like me) and old folks(also like me). Coupla glitches starting off: No draft beer, bottles and cans only for $ 2.50 to $ 3.50 also you had to go down to the dining room for the full menu no eating the big steak off of the bar. So ok, a nice dining room with nice waitresses that took my order cordially and brought my first beer right away. I had the New Your cut, onion rings, green salad and the surprising plate of spaghetti. The salad was good if not great, the spaghetti sauce was spectacular but the noodles were not al dente. That’s Italian for not mushy and not crunchy… sort of. The onion rings were uninspired. Like what you buy frozen at the supermarket. The steak presentation was almost a work of art. Thick, huge, excellent coloration and done exactly medium rare. However about a full eighth of it was fatty gristle around the edges. The cut wasn’t correctly trimmed(gasp). On the other hand the rest of it was well worth the price as long as you don’t mind putting the inedible chunks back on the plate. All in all the service was great, the food was served hot, the waitresses were cute and it was a happy, festive crowd. OBTW, seeing the leftover pile they comped my beer and I walked away stuffed and happy. But next time it will be the prime rib.

Great atmosphere. Home town hospitality. Went with a group of 6 men. We all left full. Portions are great AND they throw in spaghetti with you meal. I had the bite sized steak and shrimp with onion rings. It was all delicious. Also tried the Pepper steak — it was definitely peppery — Not for the faint of heart! The Prime Rib«normal» portion was HUGE and cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend BoJacks if you are in Clarkston. I will be back.

The best place I’ve found in North Central Idaho for a steak. I think I’d really give it a 4.5, but it is currently rated as 3.5 so I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt. Location is odd, the basement of a seedy, smokey bar. Soldier through that and go right downstairs. I’ve had the peppered steak which was good and steak with prawns which was even better. Entrée comes with a side of spaghetti, which is decent and adds something unique to the place. The mini loaves of bread with thick butter is quite good too. More than enough food for a big appetite like mine and to even take some home for another meal or snack. I’d definitely give it try if you’re in or near Lewiston.

The food is very good, and not terribly overpriced. I would have to recommend the prime rib as it was amazing. It’s kind of a strange location, being in the basement of a bar, but I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good steak.

After noticing the red devil on the door and hearing the drunken chatter from within, he wondered if he was heading for trouble. The enamel words«the broiler pit» suggested that he may need to work his way through the crowded bar and into the basement. He did so, with a girlfriend and her mother following him. The basement is a great contrast to upstairs ruckus filled bar. This subterranean diner was peaceful and reserved. He sat down with his girlfriend and mother for a delightful meal of bite sized steak. It is a meal consisting of bite sized portions of steak that have been deep fat fried. In addition to the steak, the waitress mixed and served a spaghetti. Each guest received a portion. The waitress looked pained to be stuck with the task. The man and his girlfriend felt sorry for her. To relieve the stress of meeting his girlfriend’s mother for the first time, the man began drinking pints of Budweiser beer. They chatted and together they left Bojack’s Broiler Pit with fine portions of steak for his girlfriends dog. All were happy.

Great steak. Try the deep-fried bite-size steak; quite good. Bar isn’t something to write home about, but not bad. Just don’t judge the restaurant by the bar. Just walk thru and head downstairs.

I’ve dined here twice now, once in October 2010 and then again this last week. Both times the steaks were prepared perfectly. Portions are generous and the bar upstairs is friendly and has a great staff. Not much that I’ve found in the Clarkston/Lewiston area but every time I come to town I’ll be eating at Bo Jack’s!

The bar that you have to go through to get to this place is a a total dive and I’m not sure I’ll ever understand why they chose to put one of the best Prime Rib spots in the NW in the basement of a bar. That said, this place is amazing; hands down, the best Prime Rib I’ve ever had, and the French Onion soup is to die for.
