Had a marvelous breakfast at The Big Biscuit with my wife and son-​in-​law to be. He and I both had scrambles, while my wife had a more traditional meat and egg breakfast. Everything we ordered was tasty. More importantly, the eggs were cooked to order. Most importantly to me is the quality of the biscuits and gravy — and those are wonderful. The biscuits are truly big as well as being perfectly cooked. The gravy was the best sausage gravy I’ve ever eaten. When I fix gravy at home, I always start with a half pound of bacon. I know restaurants can’t afford to do that, so they go the sausage route. Most taste rather bland and milky. Not this! It’s well seasoned and actually tastes of sausage. So far, the best breakfast I’ve had anywhere in the Kansas City metro area. Since I’m in Kansas City off and on for at least three weeks each year, this place will get lots of my business.

The wife and I ate here for the first time this morning. I had the titanic omelette which is huge and come with a biscuit and gravy on top. I ordered it with the B&G on the side. Wife had the big breakfast. We both enjoyed our meals tasted great fast friendly service also. I’m sure we will return.

We go to the Big Biscuit for one thing… Cinnamon Roll pancakes. They’re always amazing. The rest of the breakfast-​type foods (omelets, eggs, bacon, sausage, etc.) are pretty standard, but the Cinnamon Roll pancakes are worth the stop! No syrup needed!

Great food, service is good. There is usually a very long wait on the weekends but, it is well worth it. The food here is excellent and prices are decent. Larger portions and fresh wonderful tasting food.

First time this morning with my daughter. Antonio was our waiter and what a great waiter he was. Knew his menu, very friendly and attentive, checked on us frequently. Food excellent, very clean restaurant, fabulous experience which is more than I can say for the previous morning at Perkins (Liberty). We intend on going again second only to corner café.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST BREAKFAST I’VE HAD IN A LONG TIME!!! The service was phenomenal and the atmosphere was as well. They automatically offer to go boxes and even offered to fill up a to go cup for coffee. I had the Mayberry and also ordered a pumpkin pancake. All very good!

Very reasonably priced. Service was fast and friendly. I had the biscuits and gravy (seemed fitting considering the name) biscuits were too fluffy/​doughy for my taste but I can’t hold that against them since many people like them that way. Gravy and country potatoes were fabulous. Servings are very large — I had a half order of the biscuits and gravy and I should be good all day! Good place for a home cooked breakfast.

Went here for lunch today. Ordered 2 scrambled eggs, bacon, toast and breakfast potatoes.
I’m guessing they augment their eggs because the plate was half full of them. I’ve scrambled two eggs and they don’t take up half the plate. Not surprised that there was no discernable egg flavor. The breakfast potatoes were straight out of a frozen bag. Way too salty and with a tough, chewy exterior. Again, no real potato flavor. Coffee was OK and so was the toast.

I’ve been here twice. The food is generally good; standard American breakfast diner food. Eggs, Pancakes, Waffles, etc.
My issue here is that as a smaller local chain, they could offer homemade specialities with some character and fresh local ingredients. As it stands now, it seems precisely like IHOP or Denny’s with Corn syrup instead of maple, corned beef a la Hormel, and mediocre service with a side of disinterested manager and table staff.
Ginger Sue’s is another local Liberty Breakfast/​Lunch place, and one with a little more unique fare. It will easily remain my go to…

Very prompt service despite it being a busy Sunday morning. I had the KC omelet with hash browns and a pancake. Food was prepared very well and quickly.

Very average breakfast. They tout biscuits and gravy as award winning on their menu. Sausage gravy is canned or bagged and can’t possibly be made in house. Comparable to Hardee’s. Hard to screw up sausage and eggs. Service here is good. I will give them a try for lunch.

This place is packed on the weekends, but it’s huge inside so the wait isn’t too long. Great, home style breakfasts with the pancakes and biscuits (obviously) being great! I got waffles topped with strawberries, so good. Light and fluffy with a subtle sweetness that didn’t even need syrup.
Plan to come back to try lunch.

Bring your appetite! The cinnamon roll pancake will blow your mind! I’ve had the KC omelette and eggs and diced ham and barely finished either. Definitely delicious and I’ve always had polite, courteous and prompt service. Sometimes being seated is a little slow when they aren’t busy. Seems they only man the greeter post on their busy times. Not a big deal though because once you’re seated and order food does not take long. I definitely recommend this KC favorite :)

Just opened last week and since we are close by we decided to give it a try. We had no great expectations since it has been open for just a few days and since it’s a breakfast/​lunch restaurant only. Great service, quick and great food. Truly, everything was great! Our new breakfast place. We will return!
