This review is for 12/31/2015. Probably the worst Starbucks experience I’ve ever had not because of the service or décor but simply because of how appalled I was with: 1. Price 2. Taste Now we all know Starbucks is by no means the pinnacle of awesome coffee by anyone’s standards. But it is definitely known for consistency. Your Starbucks beverage in Lihue should taste the same in Edinburgh and the same in Boston. But not here. My iced green tea tasted like it had been shaken in an iced coffee shaker. That tea tasted like coffee. It looked like tea and tasted like tea mixed with coffee remnants. It was disgusting. On top of it being disgusting, it was ridiculously overpriced. I paid over $ 5 for a venti iced green tea. Are you kidding me??? From what I know, aside from their Ethos water, their green tea is the cheapest beverage on the menu. So if that tea cost $ 5, are you charging $ 10 for a latte?

Decent space for an airport location. Service is a little slow, but then again its Hawaii.

They only had one person taking orders and one making drinks with a line out the door. Took me around 30 minutes to order and receive my drink. The lady taking orders was extremely slow.

After arriving at the Lihue airport, my wife requested a Venti frappucino for our trip back to Honolulu. Tried the tiramisu flavor and it was one of the best flavors I’ve ever tasted. The service and quality of treats and coffee were exactly what we’ve come to expect from Starbucks … well above average. Sadly, I did deduct one star for the blatant price gouging that Starbucks typical does at every airport location I’ve visited. Sad, but that’s supply and demand right?

Great coffee when I need it. Good customer service. Right in front slightly to the left when you walk through TSA flying via Hawaiian airlines. I find that coffee on the Hawaiian islands taste better then the mainland. Must be there beans.

Great option at Lihue airport. Seemed to be a full menu available with convenient hours. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Jesse was great!

No electrical outlets work??? Really? That’s a travesty. I cannot believe this. Plus no wifi? What kind of Starbucks is this??? Totally disappointed will NEVER go to this Starbucks again. You mean to tell me the third world Starbucks all over Asia has wifi and working power plugs. But here in the Hawaiian islands no??? REALLY. Starbucks HQ fix this place or you will lose customers. kauai is a HUGE tourist destination and to have this like it is… Well disappointing. Totally

The only Starbucks in airport which has a total of about 4 stores inside. Its gets crowded and the lady at counter was fast and patient with us. Prices are a bit high compared to other Starbucks outside but thats understandable.

$ 3.90 for a plain bagel and they don’t even have a toaster. Outlet has no power. Dont like nickel and diming when you pay a premium.

This Starbucks is the only one at the Lihue International Airport. It’s on the smallish side, but does have seating inside, although it doesn’t look like enough room for both seating and suitcases. My wife and I came inside while my sons waited back in the waiting area with the luggage. The Lihue International Airport is not air-conditioned, a definite minus if you have a long wait. That is reason enough to visit this air-conditioned Starbucks for a coffee(and cool air!) break. It wasn’t too long a wait to get our drinks and the large windows along one wall are perfect for plane watching to pass the time. Also lots of Hawaii souvenir mugs if you are so inclined

Service is very slow and the staff lack initiative. They poured a FIVE shot espresso for a customer that ordered ONE.

So un-inviting! The 2 girls were so focused on moving the furniture around that they failed to remember or even care that we were in there trying to relax before our flight! If you want to hear chairs being dragged around and being pushed into walls and tables, go at 6:00PM. I get that you want to start cleaning early so that you can leave right when your shift ends, but really?! The sign says you close at 8:30PM, must you start your aggressive cleaning and reorganization 2.5 hours prior to that? Plus the baristas weren’t even that friendly. Wonder what management trains them … probably the recipes but not customer service. Strange for Starbucks. Avoid this one unless you want to feel rushed and like an inconvenience. Drinks were okay, but please don’t slide the drinks and toss the straws toward me. 2 stars for getting our order right and making them in a timely manner.

Before I barrel into this review ass first, please be reminded that this is a Starbucks — a world-renowned coffee chain, which charges more for a large latte than a cleaning woman in China makes in an hour. This particular Starbucks is located in the Lihue, Kauai County, Hawaii — a town situated in the United States of America, a first world country. In any Starbucks in China, you get — — A selection of pastries, salads/sandwiches and other foods popular in that particular area — Strong air conditioning — WIFI —(Sometimes) electrical outlets that work In the Lihue Starbucks, we got — — Weak AC — Two electric outlet locations — one facing a bank of windows overlooking the tarmac with the sun streaming in, and the other which didn’t work — No WIFI — Higher prices than one would get in a regular Starbucks store(ie. One with a functioning AC system and WIFI that wasn’t located in an airport) Starbucks China, Starbucks Lihue? You decide.

Bought a sandwich & pastry to take with me on my flight. I was flying standby & didn’t make it. I didn’t want to waste my food, so I returned it. They made my transaction easy as pie all while doing it with a smile. Don’t think they typically let customers return food. 5 stars for customer service.
