All I can say is wow, just left there and I was disgusted. The owner did nothing but scream and demean his employees and talk about some place down the road to everyone that walked in the door. I feel bad for Chubby’s Place… this man has a vendetta or something. He should focus on improving his business. That’s bad business to dis other businesses in the area. From what I heard after I left Chubby’s moved away to another location to expand. Good for them. Owner of Bayway Diner get your head out of your butt and treat your employees with respect and focus on your business not your competitor. Grow up!!! Bad experience, won’t be going back at all.

Owner is a tool. VERYLOUD and cursing while we are waiting for a pickup order. The food was pretty decent. I ordered the breakfast sampler and my boyfriend got 2 chili dogs. The best part is watching the grill cook juggle 6 orders at once on that grill. EPIC. Literally, that was the best part. Super tiny establishment with flies and«ok» service. Prices were good. Methinks you can get better food AND service somewhere else.

Why am I forced to give one star when the place deserves 0? The food was nasty, service was horrible. The owner was rude as can me. I wouldn’t go here again if it was free.

Just went here for the first time and had an absolutely fantastic burger! Still have to try the breakfast food, as I have heard that it is very good. Very friendly owner and staff. Definitely going here again!

Friendly owner & workers! Had the fatburger! Note to self you must be really hungry to eat the whole thing! Very flavorful nonetheless! I’d go back again!

I had lunch at the Bayway Diner last Thursday. Yes, the operation is super tiny and only seats 8, but it is worth it. I don’t know about previous management or quality issues, I’m just speaking from my own perspective. First of all, the place has a true 50s vibe, really small and classy. We were just two people and we had chili dogs and chicken quesadilla. I have to surrender to the awesome dogs, quality sausage and amazing home-made chili sauce. The guacamole that came with the quesadillas was killer. Two people, and we paid 18 $ for the whole set. Amazingly cheap IMHO, and nice service. The place is not in the best or easiest location, but I feel that is a great detour to take if you are travelling around the area.

Stopped by today and the place was closed. It looks abandoned. no signs on the door, tent area looked damaged and tables are gone. I haven’t seen anything posted anywhere about them banging up???

First, this is a tiny place; getting a breakfast time seat isn’t a certainty. Next, the Bayway Diner had a long history of serving grilled breakfast entrees and breakfast sandwiches which were a notch above standard diner grub. After the«Diners, Drive-In’s & Dives» appearance they’ve nose-dived. Screwing-up breakfast grillwork takes a special grade of indifference, and they have definately have abandoned any idea of quality.

i ate here two years ago, and it was amazing. just went back, and it sucked. i had a ‘1&9 burger’ – a basic burger with stringy bacon and frozen onion rings, and my friend had a rib sandwich, which looked like it came from burger king.

We drove the ½ to visit this diner and only because of the rave review from Guy at the Food Network. We were shocked at how dirty the place was. Only sits 8 at a counter and we arrived at 1pm on a Saturday afternoon. The place is SO tiny that you have to go outside to take off your jacket. We did not stay.
