I feel like I’m here once a week. Local diner with tasty and reasonably priced food. Highly recommend the barbecue Panini and the southwest chicken wrap. Food made fast and friendly staff. Love the soup selection as well

A picture is worth a thousand words… so here you go. I came here last weekend to grab a waffle after work and was dismayed when I opened the box to find a very soggy waffle. I called to complain and the so-called manager(a very jersey shore-esque type of character) started making a ton of excuses instead of apologizing and moving on. When I called him out, he hung up on me. This place is a joke and I hope it goes out of business soon.

I don’t know what some of the other reviewers are talking about when they say the cups are small; that the lettuce taste sour. I had a chicken and waffle which perfect. My mother had a BLT which I have to say was perfect as well. I have to say this is a nice little diner which has good comfort food at good prices and would come back any day.

We were looking for a quick bite after visiting the orthopedic group next door. At 11AM, there were still quite a few tables wrapping up breakfast, but it was pretty empty otherwise. The restaurant is laid out like a typical diner with plenty of booth seating as well as larger tables for bigger parties. They offer breakfast all day, and lunch and dinner starting at 11AM. There are great lunch and dinner specials for reasonable prices, but none of them really tickled our fancy, so we ended up just ordering some breakfast items. I got a stack of buttermilk pancakes and scrambled eggs on the side for a total of $ 6.75; a cup of coffee(refillable) is a little under $ 2. Food wasn’t anything special, but it filled us up. For the two of us, our entire bill came out to less than $ 20 without tip, which was quite reasonable. Pay on your way out!

Went there last night for a quick bite to eat and was pleasantly surprised. The service was great, food came out quickly and the menu choices were great. I will be back to try them out for breakfast!

This is the type of diner that makes you feel at home. The owners always greet me with a welcoming smile. The food is always delicious and the service is always fantastic. Try the chicken parm– literally the best chicken parm you will ever eat! I think the secret is in the sauce! Thank you to the owner for making this place consistently great through the years.

Breakfast her is very good. They always get your order right and the good is fresh. The waitresses all remember your orders from the day before. I come here and pick up breakfast to get my day started.

Decent food. I came for breakfast and it was decent. Pros– Food came out fast, they sat us down fast no wait. Cons– The quality of the food minimum too meet restaurant food standards. I would have cooked a better breakfast at home and not pay $ 12 for a plate I dont think i will be coming back but if you are looking for something quick to eat then this might just do it for you, better than fast food i would say.

I’ve been to better dinners. Food is very bland. The ypical crowd is senior citizens.

My husband and I brought our kids here for dinner a little over a week ago and food was really good, but service wasn’t so great. We were charged for the kids’ drinks when they should have been included in the meal, plus we realized afterward that the kids’ meals also came with desserts, which we weren’t offered.(The issue with the kids’ drinks was worked out, but not without a little bit of hassle on my husband’s part.) The service was slow even though the diner wasn’t full, but the tip was automatically included for a party of 5(3 of whom were children). It’s a shame because we have fond memories of frequenting the Linden House when we were dating in high school over 20 years ago… Take away the weird service and give us the same good food, and we’d be ok, though!

Came here on a Saturday morning, in the mood for a good diner breakfast. The diner is small but its nice, big windows all around make the place look bright inside. And thankfully no awful dirty carpet on the ground. I had a breakfast wrap and my boyfriend a belgian waffle with bananas. Order took a little bit of time but I am fine with that — sat enjoying the coffee in my hand. When the food came I was really pleased — my breakfast wrap was well prepared and they even took the time to put it in a panini press to toast the wrap. My boyfriend’s waffle was nice and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside and the bananas came in a bowl on the side. I think I found my go-to local diner!

since our kitchen is being redone, we’ve become a bit of a regular. typically, we order a sandwich to split and a soup. the soups are always great and homemade. as a rule, everything is what you would expect it to be. nothing great, nothing bad. just typical diner fare. the wait staff does a good job. pricing is appropriate for what you would get. the place is neat and clean. bottom line is the Linden House Diner delivers what you would expect.

Always trying new diners while traveling between Boston and Washington. Some are great finds and others like the Linden diner are only memorable for their pretty bad food. I decided to ignore the previous comment about the macaroni and cheese and give it a try. I mean diners should have good comfort food! Unfortunately this was not comfort food. I should have known the minute I saw the yellow color! I think it may have been pasta with tasteless bright yellow paint mixed together. It was bad! I won’t even discuss the dry meatloaf sandwich but will give two stars to the friendly waitress. Stay away! A

On ocation, my boyfriend and i go to The Linden house for some good but cheepy food. Lately the food quality has really gone down. Tonight was the the dinner that broke the camels back. I just wanted some BAKEDMACANDCHEESE and what I got was wet noodles with 3 slices of microwaved cheese of on top. I had to add ketchup for flavor, which is something I rarely do to baked mac and cheese. Honestly, I shouldn’t have had to do that. I hope they shape up, because as i said before, it’s cheep, I also like the clam atmosphere, waiters and waitresses are always attentive and nice and the seating is very comfy, and I live like 2 blocks away! How nice is it to save gas when you feel like eating out.

Simple review… it’s a diner! Enough said!!! I was dogsitting in Rahway and bored out of my coconut, so Rob and I decided heading over the the LHD would be a great idea. He’s from NJ, so he has awesome highschool flashbacks associated with this place. I was just glad to get out of the apartment… We were out kinda late(maybe 8pm) and it seemed like a great time for Belgian waffles with strawberries!!! They were huge and hit the spot. He got some scrambled eggs and bacon. Man, do I love me sum late nite bkfst!
