The«baristas» were sweet. I got the«Portuguese chicken and rice soup», very bland. Absolutely no flavor. I’m moving to the area soon and was hoping to find a little hole-in-the-wall café to do work and enjoy coffee but I guess I’ll keep looking. It’s a beautiful neighborhood though.

The food is a little pricey. Enjoyed the wait staff. The chocolate coffee was delightful

All-in-all, it’s a nice place that I won’t avoid or insist that others try. Not bad, especially if you want more vegetarian options than many other places, but just not the best place. Pros: * Good selection of food. Lots of vegetarian options. * Good coffee and a nice selection of teas. * Free wifi Cons: * It’s a long wait for food * Overpriced for what you get * The food descriptions are GREAT. I just don’t think the actual food lives up to the descriptions. Not bad food, but maybe just oversold. For example, I ordered the salmon salad with grapefruit and artichoke with a dark chocolate balsamic vinaigrette. And it was ok, but I was expecting fresh salmon. What they actually top it with is some kind of re-formed salmon patty? I’m not actually sure *what* the salmon was. Again, it was ok, just less than what I expected.

You have to try the dark chocolate crêpe! And the strawberry lush drink. Wide variety of sweets, breakfast items, drinks and sandwiches. Gluten free and vegetarian options are clearly marked on the menu. Staff is friendly, great atmosphere, fast service. You won’t be disappointed!

Diappointed once again! ! I am not going back. I live in Lititz and have tried chocolate café a number of times. Each time it gets a little more expensive. Waiter was nice and knew the menu. Service was slow SLOW considering we ordered 2 pannini specials of the day. When sandwiches were finally served wives sandwich was well done but edible, my sandwich was visibly burned and not edible unless you like charcoal Krispys. If you are in Lititz, go to the tomatoe pie café better service. better food.

Still bringing it with excellent chocolate drinks. I don’t get the smack down from the other reviewers but i have not had a bad meal in many visits. The menu is small but right on point. Had the chicken wrap and the flatbread pizza and the soup special, all were very good. The iced chocolate drink is amazingly good. Friendly staff, quiet relaxing décor, get there and enjoy!

If you are part of the crowd that loves buzz words like vegan, gluten free, organic, etc you will love this place. If you are looking for good food and a pleasant meal keep looking. My hickory smoked chicken was overdone and rubbery. The skin had the consistency of a condom laying on top of the meat. The couscous was dry with soft rotten sickly sweet raisins waiting to give you an unpleasant surprise with each bite. Then there was the unmentioned, undesired, salad that came on the side that didn’t even deserve that name. Don’t walk away from this place. Run!

5 stars for the wait staff, friendly, speedy, and overall great service. I had a hot chocolate(seems like the thing to buy at café chocolate) and a biscotti. My total was 10 dollars, ouch. It was a great hot chocolate, slightly bitter but great. And the biscotti was good too. I wouldn’t bring my children, I’d lose the house with the bill.

I was lucky enough to get a table right by the window. I shared the West African peanut chowder, pot de crème and dark chocolate crêpe. As a place specializing in chocolate I had high expectations. However they were disappointed. The pot de crème did not taste like pot de crème at all. Rather it tasted like chocolate pudding I could get at a super market. Next the dark chocolate crêpe had WAY too much whipped cream. It felt like there was more whipped cream than crêpe. The crêpe didn’t even taste chocolatey, there was barely any chocolate taste even though they said they used chocolate in the batter. This place just uses way too much whipped cream in general, even for the pot de crème. Out of everything I ordered I probably liked the soup the most… It was interesting since I never had peanut soup and it tasted like a bowl of autumn. I hope their chocolates and fondue taste better than their desserts cause I was certainly disappointed.

This is a cute place in Lititz. One of the few places offering a sit-down breakfast on a Sunday morning in the small town. The girls that were working seemed nice. We were just 3 of the 6 people in the entire restaurant. The breakfast menu was very limited. I ordered the Organic Breakfast Plate(10.98) it came with natural smoked chicken breast meat sausage and a 2 egg omelet filled with sun dried tomatoes, Vermont Cheddar, fresh herbs with oven baked potato wedges. I found it to be overpriced for the portions you actually receive. The ingredients tasted fresh, it just wasn’t my favorite breakfast and I found it to be just average. I had a few bites of the Sweetheart Cake with chocolate and it was good. I also ordered a pumpkin latte. It wasn’t the best pumpkin latte I’ve ever had but it was good. They make it with real pumpkin instead of the usual flavoring which was a great change! Just wasn’t my kind of place, or my kind of menu.

This café is wonderful! The staff is friendly and the food is great! Especially the desserts of course! I also enjoyed the nice calm atmosphere. I’m so glad my family enjoyed it too. I would recommend this café to anyone. We will definitely go back in the near future.

Really great food that plays with the chocolate theme but executes thoughtfully and tastefully with appropriate restraint. Try the dark chocolate crepes and the banana and chocolate sandwich. The friendly and competent atmosphere takes this casual bistro over the top.

By no means is this a comprehensive review, but I’ll be back to try some entrees later. All I am reviewing is the hot chocolate I had as I finished up my Christmas shopping today. It was foamy, creamy, flavorful and delicious. I would have used my finger to wipe out the mug but others were around. Most people think of powdered mix when they think hot chocolate. This is soooo much more than that. Steam frothed milk, a large scoop of chopped chocolate all topped off with a squeeze of fresh whipped cream and cocoa dust. I want to go back there right now.

Wife and I went here for lunch based on Unilocal reviews. We were not disappointed. She had the chocolate chili and I had the turkey meatloaf. Both were unbelievably flavorful. Portions are a little small but adequate. If your a big eater, you will leave hungry. The server was very personable but not very attentive. We would go back.

In need of an afternoon pick me up, we stopped by Café Chocolate. Contrary to the rest of the business on Main street, this place is bustling for a Sunday afternoon when all other stores are closed. I had a Turbo, that is the classic hot chocolate with a shot of espresso. M. had a cappuccino and we shared a dark chocolate crêpe. I’m usually afraid of hot chocolate being too sweet but this was not the case, perhaps it was subsided by the espresso. It was so decadent for me. If my waist line(thighs, upper arms, butt, etc) can afford to sip that every night of the Winter, that would be quite phenomenal. The crêpe was light and tasted so fresh thanks to the marscapone cheese and strawberry slices. It is good for two people sharing, if neither of you is too greedy. Overall the service is great, attentive but not hovering over and not rushed. If you have got a delicate sweet tooth to calm and more than some spare change(is a bit pricey), this place might do the trick.

Good food, very small portions, a little expensive. I have eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed in what I have gotten; the hickory smoked chicken is REALLY good, but with one chicken thigh and a small side of cous cous, you will likely leave hungry. I think this is a better spot for a small snack and a coffee(I have heard excellent things about the hot chocolate too). Maybe split a sandwich with someone for a late afternoon snack. I was torn between 3 and 4 stars, 3 for the portion size, 4 for the food.

Needed a dark chocolate fix and this charming little shop in charming little Lititz showed great promise. The chocolates just didn’t quite deliver though, leaving me jonesin’ for some Teuschers like a crack addict given talcum powder.

What a neat, fun little find right in downtown Lititz! They have a nice, light menu, but with what seemed to be descent selections(didn’t eat, just had a dessert & coffee). The coffee drinks, they have your standard ones, and some unique ones, they put an espresso shot in my hot chocolate — just what I was looking for! Their desserts are very yummy, and visually appealing as well. Will def. be back when I’m in town again!

WONDERFUL! the owner is just spectacular and treats you as a long lost friend! When i went the service was superb. I had the quiche with an added side of chicken apple sausage. amazing. I’m sure if they are busy, that issues could occur. each person i encountered was very attentive to the person they were assisting. If you go to lititz, make time to grab a drink, or even better yet, grab some breakfast. then walk it off at all the great shops nearby!
