BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse

Our group of 7 ate here after the Recognition Ceremony for the UAMS College of Nursing. Prompt service is always appreciated, and Stephen took very good care of our group. We tried the avocado tacos, fried portobello strips and the fried artichokes. All were wonderful, served piping hot and tasty. All of our entries surpassed expectations. My balsamic glazed chicken served on greens with mashed, was tasty and presented beautifully. Other entrees such as salmon, Parmesan chicken a burger, ribs etc. we’re excellent, and the comfortable ambiance made it a pleasant end to a memorable day.

Their beers were tasty and their Jambalaya was to die for. The bartenders (Ben and Candy) were great and friendly making it a great experience.

Bartender did a great job of trying to help me find a beer that I liked among all of their choices given my taste preferences

Much better than I expected. Stopped in for lunch with friends and I had the French Dip. It was very good. Good menu with lots of choices. It seems to be a great place to take groups with varied tastes.

Large selection of beers but the food at the same standard. The food tastes and looks like fast food. The pork chop was child size with no sides.

We only had appetizers, the fried calamari and the ahi poke… The calamari was cooked very well, breading was done properly and the squid wasn’t over cooked, served with marinara and an other cream sauce, both tasted great… The poke was delicious even though the salad prep forgot the avocado… I had two of their house brewed beer.
The American IPA it was ok but had too many caramel notes for a true IPA, leave it to the Americans to Americanize stuff that was perfectly fine already…“I’m white American born and raised”. Then I tried the imperial stout… It was true to form however at 8.5% be careful of this one. It’s my personal opinion the the imperials should always be served 8oz at a time in a proper 8−10oz open mouthed stemmed goblet glass… This does more to appreciate a complex beer and also allows time for the drinker to get a bearing on how much they have had…
My very nice waitress was probably told this because she told me it was similar to a Guinness, don’t confuse the two styles, Guinness is light and creamy. An imperial stout is strong, black, bold, resinous, and sometimes bitter (which was the case for this one), and has 2 to 3 times the alcohol, 2 in this comparison… I like imperials and this was a decent imperial (think Old Rasputin with less flavor). 4 stars only because of lack of beer knowledge and missing a key ingredient in an otherwise tasty appetizer…

Stopped by and has lunch. Food was better than expected, we had pretty good service. Will definitely go again next time in the area.

Great food, awesome staff. Pizza was best I have had. This is must try place. Stop by and give them a chance. I have never had anything bad here.

This is your typical chain restaurant but we do like their calamari as an appetizer, pizzas and chocolate chip Pazooki for dessert. Great place for a good beer selection and to watch games. Most of the time we receive good service unless they’re short staffed. I prefer sitting in the bar area for service.

Sticky table, peel apart menus, dirty silverware… What else can I say. I should have stopped there but I ordered anyway. Sampler of beers quite tasty and the only saving grace for this place. Ordered the jambalaya. I love jambalaya but this place was so heavy handed on the spice that’s all I could taste. Kinda thankful for that since the chicken and shrimp was overcooked dry and shriveled. Do not eat here!!! Drinks are fine.

Wow, what a menu, fish, pizza, salads, drinks and much more! We had chips with guacamole and salsa, chicken tacos, salad (mixed greens), and pizza. Service and food were above the norm.

Not a good experience today. For starters, it took a while for the waitress to take our drink order. Then food was slow to come out. My appetizer (calamari) was extremely over cooked. I ordered the Ziti and was disappointed at the portion size as well as the taste. One other person in my party received her steak over cooked. Then when it was redone, it was undercooked. All she wanted was medium-​well. Silverware was dirty. Had to get new silverware twice.

Oh my god you want good food this place rocks!!! Make sure you go to the one in North Little Rock because the other one shorts you 9 out of 10 times on everything you order …

We’ve been here twice recently since moving back to the area. The food is always great! The second visit our server seemed a bit distracted and for some reason refuses to write down orders and had to repeat it several times but otherwise service was good.

We were visiting Little Rock from out of town. BJs was super close to our hotel, so we gave it a try. The menu is SUPER eclectic so it is ideal for big groups of people who are all craving various things. They also have a light menu for those who are watching their calories. The menu lists all of their items with their calories, which is super helpful. I tried the Bison Burger, which was DELICIOUS and supposedly light, heh. We went on a Friday night, so it was pretty packed, but they’ve got a nice bar to sit at to let the time pass. They’ve got a pretty decent selection of beers. Another thing worth mentioning was that our appetizer didn’t come out until we were finished with our entrees, but our server was nice enough to not charge us for it. Definitely a wonderful find in the LR area!

I’ve only been here a few times, and each visit didn’t really impress me. They have a great selection of beer, and their food choices are awesome, but the wait was always long. The first time I went, the wait wasn’t that bad, but my burger tasted burnt. All the other times I’ve gone, we were left there, twiddling our fingers during the long wait for food.
I don’t think I’ll ever suggest BJ’s for dinner, but if I’m asked to go, I’ll put up with it.

Very sorry service when you have to wait ten minutes without being acknowledged by a waiter. When I asked of I was going to get waited on, he exclaimed it would be a few minutes. He had a table of six, so he was over worked
I told the hostess to find me a waiter that wanted to wait on me or find me a manager!

Pretty good craft beers, service was decent. Food was disappointing.
Avocado egg roll appetizer was not appetizing to look at and the taste wasn’t much better. Burgers were greasy and lacked flavor. I had the crispy jalapeño burger and I would have never dreamed it could be so bland. The potato wedges could easily have been the same ones available at any convenience store.
All in all I’d rather drink a Bud Light and have good food.

If I were rating BJ’s based only on the pizookie it would no doubt be 5 stars. Those things are amazing! But, I must factor in the rest of the food. This was the second time I had been to a BJ’s and I wasn’t sold last time either. This time I ordered a small dish of mac and cheese because we had eaten a big lunch. The bacon in it was very smokey, like overly smokey. Also it wasn’t very creamy. I enjoyed the bread that came with it and I did end up eating all of it but it could have been better. I ordered a raspberry lemon drop which was very strong. The sugar around the rim did help a little. I would definitely say just stick with BJ’s for dessert, unless I just haven’t found the right dish yet.

I love BJs I know it’s a chain but it’s always been very good. I always get the parm crusted chicken and I get double mashed potatoes instead of the vegy and it’s always so good and plenty for another meal at home. My sister got the burger and really enjoyed it. We have also had their pizza and it’s very good as well. For dessert get the peanut butter s’more pizolle. Not sure about the spelling but do good and plenty big to split
