Raja’s Liquors

I am a regular of most businesses in this shopping center, as it is near my place of work and my daughter’s dance school. Raja’s has a solid selection of beer (better than the nearby convenience store) at a reasonable price. Like other businesses in the area, they are independent and locally owned. Unlike a grocery store with a similar selecting, Raja’s has short-​term parking up front, allowing for a quick in and out.

My favorite liquor/​wine store. Good selection that is priced fairly. Raj will get it for you if it is available. AND when I asked about a special order he told me his price would be much higher than Safeway because of volume with that distributor. Not since the movie «Miracle on 34^th street» have I seen a retailer recommend buying at another location. A great local merchant.

Great service, Great selection, Great prices, even better owners. I love this liquor store. Its very refreshing going into a business and everyone remembers your name, what you like or even just to ask how your day is going. I go to this location not just for these reason, but also because when you walk in they treat you like family. I will alway prefer to go out of my way to go too Rajas.

Raja liquors is the only liquor store I go to in Livermore. The owner is awesome and provides great customer service.

This is a awesome store. Every time I go in the owner is very polite to me and always says hello. Has great prices on alcohol and cigars. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I don’t care if you know my first name or not, getting refused service for pointing out a 45% price increase on a bottle of Pliny in a months time is out of line is ridiculous. $ 9/​bottle! I would advise anyone to take a 10 minute drive to Dublin/​San Ramon/​Walnut Creek to the number of other stores that charge $ 6. I have never been treated so poorly at a store in my life. A good business plan would be to not rip off customers on one specific bottle, they may decide to never spend their money at your shop again. Instead charge a reasonable price for the main thing that draws people into your store and encourage them to buy other products as well. You lost more than one customer with this transaction. I was looking for cigar stores in Livermore and read a few reviews about the local places that carry them. One review had a list of nice qualities about Raja’s:
(1) The business is family-​run.
(2) Raj and his family address all the regulars by first name. They memorized my name off my card on the 2^nd visit and they’ve used it every time since.
(3) The store does not sell porn.
(4) Partly as a consequence of (1), (2) and (3), the store is always full of friendly banter.
Armed with these requirements, I thought I would give them a try.
I’m writing this review to let everyone know that all of the qualities listed above are true. I was nicely surprised when he returned my card and thanked me by my first name. I will be going back for sure. Nice job, Raj!

This is the best liquor store in the area. Got to love a place that remembers their customers by name. Always get greeted by Raja himself. Great prices. And if you don’t see what you want, just ask Raj, and he will get it for you.

I love this place and drive past 3 liquor stores on my way here to spend my money with Raja. Great prices on wine for an independent liquor store and a great selection to boot. Ditto IPAs. Bonus points for an operational humidor for the cigars rather than the glass case that LOOKS like a humidor that other places use.

This is a decent liquor store. It has a fairly nice selection of good liquor, the service is nice and it’s convenient.

I love a place that remembers it’s regulars. My FIL loves coming in here to buy some beer and have a quick chat with Raj.
They have a decent collection on micro brews and beers that are brewed and sold individually in large bottles (Ya know the kinds — like delirium tremens — etc).

(5) They seem to have a pretty good inventory — although I must admit I usually go for the Ben & Jerry’s. \:-D

Raja has grocieries, beers, wines, and hard liquor. available. only 20 minutes parking allowed in front of store so decisions on purchases must be made quickly.
