dr. li is an awesome optometrist and i highly recommend going to him for your eye exam, especially since it is right next door to the optical center. dorothy, how do i love thee? let me count the ways… seriously, dorothy in the vision center ROCKS! so nice, so helpful and accommodating, thorough and friendly. i bought 2 pairs of glasses with polycarbonite transition lenses for $ 411!!! if you know glasses, you know what a steal of a deal that was. and, the frames i chose were originally Rx sunglass frames, and dorothy gave me the thumbs up to use them for regular prescription lenses. go there, you won’t regret it.

As much as I hate Walmart, they do have a good selection and great prices. And the ladies who work here seem pretty knowledgeable.

My eye doctor wanted over $ 500 for two pair of glasses. I got the exact same frame for one and a similar one for the other for just a little more than half that cost. They were very professional and when the glasses didn’t work right I went back and they spent a lot of time checking to see the precription was correct. The glasses matched the precription so I went back to the eye doctor and was told yes the glasses were correct but they would have written the precription differently if they know I wasn’t going to use their inhouse glass provider. The doctor made a miner change and wrote the patient wanted the change not that they had given poor instructions. Walmart graciously replaced them anyway. I think doctors should have made sure any percription they wrote could be filled by anyone, not just their office. I will go back to Walmart but not to my current eye doctor.

My lil’ guy wears glasses and the place where he has his eye exam conducted each year does not carry a large selection of children’s’ glasses. His lenses are pretty thick and the wrong shape lens/frame can make his eyes look like goldfish eyes. Walmart carries the largest and coolest selection of children’s frames that I have found. They are open daily with evening hours. This is helpful when my son has broken his glasses or needs his glasses to be adjusted. Frames within a year of purchased are under a warranty and we have used this many times. They accept all types of insurance, they offer discounts when you purchase multiple pairs, and they have the prescription goggles for the kiddos that play sports. The lone woman who works at this Walmart in the Vision Center is the extremely helpful and patient with my lil’ guy. I normally would not be endorsing Walmart, as you may have noticed in one of my previous reviews, but I can’t help it this time. They are providing a service for my family that we have not been able to find elsewhere.

Wonderful staff. Both women have gone out of their way to help my toddler find the right glasses. They are patient and competent. Amazing prices and service.

This review is for filling prescription for glasses for a kid. My 4-year old got a prescription. The optometrist had no selection, so we searched local eye glass stores. We’ve discovered that Livermore Vision Center had the best selection. Pair that with the best prices, like a frame for $ 9, can’t beat it! We bought 2 pairs for a total $ 100. The glasses were checked by pediatric ophthalmologist and they were perfect. The ladies working at the center were so sweet and patient. We came back a couple of times so far to get a scratched lens replaced and to buy nose pads. Great service, very helpful staff.

So, I’ve been getting my contacts from this location and getting an eye exam from the doctor at the Livermore Costco. My doctor switched brands for me and said it was better for people who fall asleep with their contacts on. So, I went to walmart. got the contacts, etc etc. I started to notice pretty soon that whenever I blinked, my contact would FALLOUT sometimes! Not good! I thought it was the brand and was going to change brands. but when I looked at the box. I was given a size 8.7. I need an 8.3,(and thats what my prescription says too!!) these contacts are too big for my eye. Grrrrr… no wonder they fall out! I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this location for my contacts. I might just do it all online. The people there are friendly, so I gave them a star.
