I’m a little late in my review, as I went there in June. I had to get a PPD test in order to volunteer for my child’s school. I was fortunate in that I didn’t have to wait long as a walk-in. Since I’m already a patient w/Valley Care, my records automatically showed up. And when I went back to have my test checked, I was pleasantly surprised that the doctor remembered me. I plan on going here again in addition to seeing my regular doctor for things like this you don’t think about when you do a yealy physical.

I had to go to Walmart because I could not receive an appointment at one of valley cares offices before the deadline needed for my physical. I was VERY upset and disappointed, they took my blood pressure 4 times! And said it was 150⁄100 and would not pass my physical, also they said that I had high and unhealthy amounts of protein in my urine. Needless to say I was very worried, the nurse practitioner at Walmart got me an appointment at a real valley care office. When I arrived they took my blood pressure which was 130/75, and I was perfectly healthy! If you can’t get a simple blood pressure reading or urine test correct, you need to fix something, I would NOT recommend this place. it is a WAISTOFTIMEANDMONEY!!!

Today I took a chance in a somewhat desperate time and visited the new medical clinic inside the Livermore Walmart. I knew from reading on the web that it was operated by ValleyCare which is one of Tri-Valleys big medical franchises. In the past I’ve visited their Urgent Care office on Stanley Road and was very underwhelmed. This place was AWESOME. The lady who work at the admitting desk, and I wish I remembered her name, was so friendly and polite. On staff that day was a Nurse Practitioner named Patricia Gonsman. She also was very nice, professional, caring, and knowledgeable. She spent a very thorough amount of time examining and discussing my health issue. Then on the way out offered my suggestions for follow up care and recommended well suited local doctors that I could possible see in the future. Although I hate Walmart it was convenient having the pharmacy just steps away. They charge a pretty fair cash price yet also accept insurance and standard co-pays. If all you need is basic non-urgent or critical health care than I’d highly recommend giving this place a try. No appointment needed, quick service, and a fair price.
