The ambience and Decour inside this little hole in the wall definitely leave something to be desired, although at least they’ve got a TV for sporting events on the wall. I ordered the chicken Philly cheesesteak, And it was actually really good. Also I like that they have a fountain for soda as opposed to just serving bottles and cans.

A very dirty restaurant. I sat on the long bench seat that spans several tables. As I got up to get a refill the cushion moved and there was old food rotting underneath. The tiles are grimy as well, with several water stains on the drop ceiling. From a food perspective, it was overpriced and underwhelming. You’d be better off staying away from this grease pit.

Ordered a gyro and it would have been great if it wasn’t so salty. You get a good amount of meat for what you pay

Unfortunately agree with the Unilocal reviews: 2−3÷5. Looks like a previous franchise now being run by family. A lot of the«Wise Guys» menu items were painted over, such as the Wise Guys secret sauce, red relish, etc. Garlic fries were good, but tough to mess that up; the pre chopped garlic may have been purchased at a bulk store, but the browning over oil and tipped over crispy fried was actually quite good, albeit not«made from scratch». The food may not have been special, but the place is clean, family friendly(both tv’s had Nightmare Before Christmas playing) and the family owned service atmosphere was charming.

A chain place, the food was decent for a quick grab and go like we needed. Wasn’t very pricey. Peppers and steak were cookies good as was the steak not very much flavor and the bread was a little to hard.

Average Greek place that I go to when I don’t feel like going anywhere. I usually order their gyro salad which is pretty decent. Hv hired their sandwiches & they are pretty good too. Good for quick lunch or for Togo. #repeatrestaurant #Airwolf

I ordered the gyro chicken sandwich here since there were soo many tips to get it… It was definitely not good! It was basically a pile of gyro and sauce on top of a pita. The way it was presented made it reallly messy to eat with my hands so I had to eat it with a fork. The meat was flavorful but too salty for me. It was also super greasy! I could see the grease from the meat on the pita bread and it just made me not eat the bread anymore. I wish I had gotten the philly cheese steak instead :( Other bad things: My coworker got a smoothie and found a piece of plastic in it D: luckily they gave him another one but still pretty bad! Another coworker ordered the«sundae»… which was just three scoops of ice cream with some chocolate sauce on it. One coworker ordered the salad and it came with no dressing on it. it looked super basic. Definitely not coming back here.

This place is going down like a dump! I took my daughter last week to eat some crispy chicken tenders and fries. What I got were small nuggets of extra crispy chicken pieces and salty fries! There were only about 5 small pieces no bigger than a quarter. I asked the lady if this was the complete order and she assured me it was. I’ve eaten here many times before when Simon was the owner and he knew how to treat his customers and prepare good food. I will not be going back now!

My son and I went there today, what a huge disappointment!!! Simon the original owner would never served up this to his customers as a father wouldn’t serve a burnt burger to his kids. To start, my son who had been here earlier had found the gyro soggy and grease. Today he found his gyros the same greasy mess as before. I use to come here and get the crispy chicken salad what a refreshing lunch with kalamate olives, red onions, juicy tomatoes cut in 1/8’s and crunchy croutons with the salad dressing tossed in with salad. No, instead what I got was hamburger style sliced tomatoes all limp, no onions, no olives, no croutons. Chopped romaine, salty, mostly battered chicken nuggets(only 8 quarter size pieces). And a ketchup sized contained of dressing. Ugh! One would do better to put two small bowels of chopped romaine together and toss in a 4 pieces cut in half, Mcdonalds chicken McNugget and call it a salad. At half the price of $ 8 and you’d be ahead. Needless to say the owners are not Mediterranean and I won’t be coming back!!!

Gyro sandwich taste good but it was too greasy. The pita bread looked like it was soaked in oil. Their tzatziki sauce was the best I’ve tasted. Reasonably priced and location is just off the freeway.

Its been a few months since I’ve been to Wise Guys and today, on my way to Costco, I decided to have lunch here. It was a surprise to me that the previous owner had sold the business and is now under new ownership. I thought that’s cool, its a mom and pop shop and its a new opportunity for someone else. I found out they took over in January and congratulated them on their new business! Unfortunately, they have raised the prices and the quality of the food has went down. Although the portions were still pretty healthy, my gyro was covered in grease! When I picked up my gyro, my fingers slid and when I looked under there was SOMUCH grease on my bread that I couldnt even eat it. I just picked the gyro meat off and didn’t bother with the bread. The grease was out of control… it was floating on top of my tatziki sauce as well. It was so disappointing as wise guys used to me on my regular lunch rotation and unfortunately I doubt I will be back. As much as I want to support independent eateries, there has to be a reason for me to want to come back and after this experience today, I cant say that there are any good reasons to give it another try.

This place is a joke. Desperately hungry after a lunch time Costco trip, I ventured over to this shopping center looking for food. I always try to give independent businesses a chance, and so when I saw a cheese steak shop, I thought what the heck. I walked in and was the only customer in the place. I looked at the menu, and noticed that they sell gyros, burgers, and cheesesteaks — that should have been a big red flag right there — I thought this place specialized in cheesesteaks? My second big red flag should have been when I noticed that the folks behind the counter were wearing El Cerrito Taqueria shirts — the name of the business next door. In any event, my hunger apparently impacted my decision making ability, so I ordered a cheesesteak combo which came with fries and a drink. Total — $ 11 and change. Long story short, the cheesesteak was absolutely disgusting — the meat was fatty and low grade and it was so gross that I was forced to abandon the meat and eat only the bread. The fries were nothing special — thick cut frozen out of the bag variety and were not salted at all. The only reason this business deserves one star is because I did drink the soda — which was fine. Next time I’m desperately hungry and in the area — I’m going to the Subway two doors down. Their steak and cheese is about a hundred times better than the so-called cheesesteaks served here.

This was my first experience here at Wise Guys Philly Cheesesteak n’ Gyros, I was not disappointed. There were two people on staff this past Saturday, one working the register and the other working the kitchen. They were both very friendly and pleasant. I ordered the Orignal Philly Cheesteak and it was amazing. It was loaded with plenty of steak and mushrooms, also had grilled onions with it and cheese of course. Very big portions, enough to feed 2 people. The fries were also really good, it had some type of seasoning which made it stand out. The resturant was clean and inviting. It also had a flat screen tv with plenty of sports channels to choose from It also had movie posters hanging everywhere to give it a Wise Guy type of feeling. I recommend this place to anyone who wants some good Cheese Steak!

My kids wanted Wendy’s…I did not. After we went through the drive thru, I headed over to this place. I’ve always seen it whenever I’ve gone through the Starbucks drive thru, yet I’ve never tried it. I was in the mood for something hearty and filling. I went in, there were a few tables filled. They had the Giants game on, couldn’t complain about that. From the outside, I actually thought this place was bigger than it actually is. But it wasn’t crazy busy… so I guess no need for any more space. Anyways, you walk up and place your order first. I was contemplating: cheese steak sandwich of gyro? I decided to go with their gyro and I also got an order of fried zucchini and a soda. I believe it came to about $ 14. I waited about five to six minutes and it was ready to go. I actually ate the zucchini sticks on the drive home because I was starving. They were super hot still, but so good! I was hoping they didn’t forget ranch, which they didn’t! Point for them, I didn’t even have to ask. Now the gyro… it was just a basic one. But holy moly was it delicious! It was seasoned perfectly and the sauce that they used was delicious! I definitely recommend their gyros, I may even have a slight addiction to them now.
