Avalon Glatt Kosher Restaurant

Ordered two burgers and wings for takeout. Extremely happy with the flavor and quality of the food. Very excited to have a new kosher place nearby and will definitely order again
The only drawback is that the service seems to be slightly disorganized. It may be a good idea to over staff on Sundays!

Just visited Avalon Glatt & loved it. We were a party of six. The one minor request would be the burgers… ask teh customer if they would like lettuce, tomato, onion, etc… So if you go & order the burgers, they’re delicious, just be sure to ask for the extras. Otherwise, I think the place was very good. It’s off the GSP & easy to reach. The place is very clean. There’s ample room to sit. Very comfortable. Everyone loved their chicken, steak and salads. My son asked for a container to take home his french fries & the waitress gave it to him with no problem. We finished off the bread & some type of hot salsa/​hummus dip, and the waitress replenished. Two suggestions to the owner: #1 — have paper towels & a wash cup by the washing station. #2 — have the benchers stored on the wall for easy access. Overall, we all loved it, will be back & give it 5 stars.

The food was very good. We had the chicken cacciatore and a Gino’s burger. Everything was delicious. The décor and service needs a lot of work though depending on what they want to serve. If I am paying $ 42 for the rack of lamb, it needs to be nicer and more professional. However if I am ordering a $ 15 burger and pasta, then it’s fine. It’s all relative but like I wrote, the food was very good.

The food was ok and we liked how well done our burgers were cooked. What we don’t appreciate was we had to sit outside because we didn’t made any reservations. I think that’s fair enough. Anyway, it was a very nice day to sit and eat outside until the fruit flies came. There were so many of them and we had to deal and got pestered while we were eating the burgers and fries. I think the fruit flies were really hungry too! It was an infestation and it was really disgusting. I had to eat my burgers soon fast or else the fruit flies will finish it first (or maybe me). I looked back inside the place and saw people who were leaving and there were tables which were getting vacant. However, we were not even offered a seat inside.
Management should always make sure that their dining customers are comfortable both inside and outside the establishment. I don’t know if I’ll be going back because of this. Please always consider the comfort and pleasant experience of every customers so they will keep coming back.

The best place ever grate food in Italian style little bit noisy people come with kids. But this is a family style restaurant with all different prices for fit everyone budget. Company of six only 165 dollars. I had honey glazed chicken wings and Italian egg roll with the very tasty and yummy stuffed burger.

4 – 5 strips of pastrami on a sandwich fries and a drink for 21 $ w/​o tip. The pastrami also was very average. Fries were decent. And I did get my food quickly, but cmon that meal was pretty bad.

The food tastes amazing and is fine dining quality. Being kosher and in Livingston nj that is a super duper plus! Now, I dont remember if it was my mother that told me this, but for all good things there must be patience (still working on it mom). They have been opened for a little over a month and the space is not huge so when it gets busy you will be waiting a while for your food. That is why I gave it 4 stars not 5. The wait for the great… can be like 25 – 30 mins! You cant even get takeout when they are super busy, oy. During off peak hours about 2−3pm or 2 – 4 not sure but 2– then. you will get your food much faster. Egg plant rollatinis omh~! lol honey bbq wings… to live for. one thing they dont mention is a majority of their food is Italian style, but they have a bunch of apps non italian maybe thats why? Deserts are fab too. Go Avalon… just speed it up if you can.

Slow as can be as they were waiting for another table to arrive which had called in food hours earlier. These people wanted food WAITING for them on the table when they would arrive. So the idiots in this restaurant devoted all their time and attention to this table which had not arrived an hour later. Every other table sat and waited for the other setup which was as stupid as I had ever seen. Chicken arrived semi-​cooked and french fries were cold. What an awful evening. Sayonara to this restaurant. Not that desperate to find good places to eat !

The food was great! We ordered a burger, honey bbq wings and meat lasagna, all were very tasty.
Prices are good, the place was a bit noisy and service was a on the slow side but our waitress was great.
I definitely recommend.
