Want a venue for an Educational Event where Service/Staff is wonderful? We had an Educational Event here and the Service/Staff/Management is A-1. This Dave and Busters is a newer location. Event Rooms/Audio Visual equipment and Staff were great. In traveling nationwide, there are older D and B locations that are in need of desperate upgrade, this location is wonderful. Not having audio problems while given many options for presentation layouts was great. If we have another Educational Event in the Detroit area, this venue is a no brainer.

So the half off games Wednesdays is awesome and $ 40 gives my kids and hour or so of complete elation. I do not eat here because the bill can get ridiculous so its fast food and half off Wednesdays thats it. Guys you gotta drop those prices. The cards they give you instead of coins is cool and the girls just bring em to the gift shop pick n swipe no waiting for tickets to get munched up. I would give five if prices were better.

We waited 3 hours for a table, at which point they tried to tell part of our party they couldn’t come in because they were under 21. We then waited 30 minutes for our drinks, another 30 minutes for food which was all ordered at the same time. The bathrooms were out of toilet paper in EVERY stall, all of the paper towels were gone. If we had a question when they brought out our food the gentleman said«ask your server.»

Second time here and still not impressed. Sat at the bar. Three tenders on staff. A total of maybe 17 people at the bar? Legit waited for ten minutes as two of them kept walking by me before I was ever contacted. When i was contacted, there was no greeting. Only asking if i wanted something to drink. Were it not for my coworkers I would have left. There are far too many bars in the area that have better deals and prettier staff for someone to put up with this poor excuse of servicing a patron. The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because they take some care of their guitar hero game.

I have never been to this location. I was a good experience. My review would be better, however I difficult to overcome a 3 hour wait! The food was good, the service however was excellent! If you don’t mind the wait go for it.

I just went to have drinks and food but I consisted playing games. That consideration was short lived because there were too many kids running around. I like the diverse drink menu but it takes way too long to get anything but the check. It is mandatory to check the id of everyone regardless of age so that can be a little time consuming as well.

Dave and Busters is a very fun place to play and I will most certainly be back. The staff is A-OK, very kind and helpful, especially at the service desk trying to explain how the cards work. I know it can get hectic on the weekends, but they do provide a friendly and efficient way to make sure all of the important pieces of information are shared in a quick and courteous way to make sure all of the patrons are taken care of. With those positives above being said, here are some negatives. NEGATIVES 1) The Prices = Kinda Pricey — Arcade wise, yeah, I can see why the cost to play the games are kinda high. Those games are really fun and look expensive to run on a daily basis, however the food prices should be a little-bit cheaper in order to give the consumer a better value.(especially younger people on a first date) 2) TV’s — On the day we went, there was a Pistons game being played. Instead of showing that, we got a hockey game played a day before and a Bulls game vs. like Toronto or something. «May No Sen,» as my Asian mommy would say. People running the bar should know about local sporting events.(it might keep asses in seats ordering more drinks, just saying) 3) Food — Dave and Buster’s would be a great place to bring my grandparents. They don’t use as much salt as they should. I don’t mean to be «salty» but yeah, the food would be worth the money if they upped the flavor content(just a little) 4) The Pizza Pretzel Appetizer — It was so bad that I had to give it a special mention. It was cold. The flavor was non-existent. Just plain bad. Had it come out 5 minutes after the app order was taken, it may have tasted better, but it came out 12 – 15 minutes after the order was taken… like 2 minutes before the dinners came out.(The Kitchen reminded me of a Detroit Lion’s offense this night — No Runners, perhaps?) Okay, with those gripes out of the way, there’s a reason why D&B gets 3 stars. POSITIVES 1) Great games — Oh my Gawd, they have fun games. They have an amazing 3-D Zombie shooter game which is dope as Hell. Trivia — where you can compete with others. Claw games, big claw games, Beer Pong, Pin Ball, Skee-Ball, Baskethoops, QB Challenge, Dancer Games, Angry Birds, and Candy Crush — the arcade version!!! 2) Places to place drinks at the games — At Lucky’s in Novi, I have to put my beer on the floor. Here, no problem. Tables in the right spot for convenience. 3) Great service. — A machine broke — guy came along in 30 seconds to fix it. That’s great! 4) Perfectly cooked steak — I ordered the steak pasta alfredo(basically a pasta dish with steak served on top of it, sliced thin medium rare and served atop it) The steak was cooked flawlessly — a perfect medium rare and sliced with excellence. The only problem was that it had no seasoning(i.e. salt and pepper). The cook of that station has great skills — knife and cooking, the only bummer was the lack of seasoning(probably an order from corporate). I see great things in the future for this member of the cooking line. 5) Fair prize compensation — some places you win 200 tickets and all you can get is a rub on tattoo and maybe a piece of some wacky sour candy called«Warhead». Here at D&B, the prizes are actually pretty decent.(and their candy selection is actually pretty solid too for an arcade) With that being said, will I be back at D and B — You bet your Sweet Beppy!!! Would I bring a female here, Uh Huh, Hell Yeah To Eat though? eh — probably not. D&B is a great place to clown with your folks, square up a date, shoot some zombies, have some brews, watch a game from yesterday, play some Skee-Ball, dominate some Skee-Ball, kill Nazis in a plane game, Win a Minion via the Claw Game, Have another Brew, play the Batman car game, play a round of Candy Crush, etc… I just wouldn’t recommend it to eat, unless you are rocking a low sodium diet.

It was cool to me. I got there right after work, so it was pretty early… but the happy hour was nice. 4:30 — 7 pm and Half off drinks! Wednesdays are half off game nights. There are other specials on other days of the week, so check the website for that info. Plenty of TVs for the sports fan. Big gaming area… the skee ball machines had a difficult time reading my card(tried a few) and once one did, the balls were coming out at a slow, strange pace. Other than that, plenty of games, reloading stations, etc. Also, plenty of kids. It was almost like a huge Chuck E. Cheese. Not a complaint. just something worth mentioning; something to be aware of. I didn’t order a big meal or anything… just a couple of apps and they were tasty. Didn’t have to wait long for them to come out. I had a great time overall!

Fun but overpriced, and packed with people! We originally came here to watch the UFC fights, and I will say it’s an excellent choice for that. They have tons of seating and TV’s throughout the bar and dining area. Food was just okay, although they do have a wide selection of fun, alcoholic drinks, including ones that come with little glowing ice cubes, giant tiki glasses or a 3ft beer«tower». I enjoy a little accoutrement with my $ 15 beverage thank you!

Service makes the difference in the experience. The front desk staff was short when I asked questions about card balance. The Gamebar lacks the service aspect also. Waiting 15 minutes fora waitress to come around to take my order when the place is dead is currently killing me slowly. The tables are nasty and nobody seema to care. I hate my child wanted to comw here, but I am suffering in silence why writing this review waiting to place a food order.

OMG… I love this place… especially after 10 when no one under 21 is allowed in. hubby and I eat here all the time… we order the teriyaki steak. Med rare with redskined mashed potatoes… I get them plain… hubby gets them loaded which is Bacon and cheese… the steak also comes with onion straws… for me. I put the onion straws on top of the steak. order extra teritaki sauce and put it all over the onion straws and steak… it’s soooo good… the drinks are also awesome… we’ve tried many and have done many shots! The games are fun too. hubby and I share one power card. it’s definitely a good place to go to! Now the games… there so fun… I love that the tickets you win go right on your card… no more carrying around bulky tickets. hubby and I share a card and have over 15,000 points on ours. I guess we’re saving for the best thing you can get. Wed is good. games are all half off!

I don’t think that Dave and Buster’s gets enough love, especially for their food. While I have yet to try anything else on their menu, the gf and I always order the Mountain O’ Nachos, which comes with sour cream, plenty of guacamole, jalapeño peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, black beans, chili and cheese sauce all on a huge bed of nachos. It’s more than enough food to fill us both up, and is among the best nacho options in Southeastern Michigan(and this is coming from two nacho enthusiasts). I’m not too sure about the cost, but it only costs 1000 tickets, which can be easily attained on half-off game Wednesdays for about $ 10 of game credit. So, not only are you able to enjoy playing D&B’s arcade games, but also if you play some of the more ticket rewarding games like the coin pusher, you get to enjoy the spoils of your fun afterwards with a heaping pile of delicious nachos!

Great location but way too small of a place. The parking lot is hard to maneuver through when crowded. When available, do valet parking! Walking into the building is even difficult. The entrance and exit into the building is a hot mess! The card area runs right into the going Out doors, pushing people who are trying to leave to use the In door. It’s not working and unsafe when busy. The game room area is not as big as other locations and everything is jammed close together. Games and people all on top of each other. Sitting at the bar waiting on table, it took awhile for any of the several bartender to acknowledge your presence. It was Saturday night 8ish so yes I expect it to be busy. Hard to tell where to sit because there was many empty seats, but the dirty cups, bottles and plates makes one think, maybe someone is still seating there. But nope, no one is there, just their left over mess. Behind the bar needed a good cleaning too. Dirty glasses, cans of red bulls and used mix shakers all behind the bar. Truly disguising, especially so earlier in evening. Dirty bar, cups, dishes and tables don’t stop at the bar. Even in the dining area, tables stay dirty long after the party leaves and the game area needs some serious attention too. Service runners seem to be the only people with any sense of customer service. Our waitress was clueless and MIA when it came to removing dishes or refills. Food is overpriced for low quality bar food. The loaded tater tot appetizer was cold. Obviously sitting somewhere for awhile, prior to being served. We had to ask for plates and silverware from two different people. Slider meal, fries tasted fishy, which changing or using different fryer oil would have prevented. Of the two slider meals, one fry side was hot and the other cold, just like our dry sliders and wings. Loud announcements and birthday parties filled the dining area. In other Dave and Busters locations, dining and party areas are separated and often have a sense of sophistication, unlike this location. If I wanted the same as atmosphere as the bar area, I wouldn’t have waited so long to eat in the«dining» area. Go early for games to avoid the complete over crowding and eat elsewhere to avoid the crap service and less than stellar food.

Went with a group of 12. Had to wait a while for a table, but that is to be expected at a place this popular. Our waitress seemed to be in such a rush the whole time, asking us to order almost as soon as we sat down. She continued to rush us even after we told her we planned on staying for a while for games, dessert, etc. The drink menu is awesome(I had two of the snow cones, very yummy and plenty of alcohol). The philly cheese steak sandwich was just okay. Got the chocolate fondue for dessert, which tasted like plain Hershey’s syrup out of a bottle and was not even warm. It was a Saturday evening, so it got almost unbearably crowded by the time we wanted to play games. I would recommend going on a week day if possible!

OK, we had a blast playing game but be ready to drop a lot of cash if you want to play games for awhile. The waitress we had started off great but as the day went on she was very rude and was not around much. The food we ordered was good not great. The Philly Steak I got came out cold and the fries were cold as well. I had them make another one. The second one was much better. Fun time, food place but the serviced lacked… Would have given two stars but games are fun…

I had to pick one star to at least write something… this is the worst place for service, even after the the little kids have left. Food is not prepared right. Bartending is not able to serve at a bartender pace. They do not attend to the customers in a timely manner. You would think this place would be fun… but I wish I would have gone to McDonald’s Playplace with a six pack.

Just returned from a lunch date with my wife. We tried to valet but no one came. After self parking we then pulled up two chairs at the bar, the wrong side it turns out, and were greeted by Rhonda. She was displaying a bit of attitude so my wife inquired. Seems Rhonda isn’t to hip to her scheduling as she closed Friday night and was back for opening today and will work until close. Too bad for patrons that come/came after us as her service will get slower and her patience shorter. She was complaining about all she had to do which I really don’t give a shit, as a bartender a few years removed I say bring it on. Better than standing around! We tried the pull apart pretzel pizza bites. They were okay and not as hot as I had hoped. Eventually we ordered entrees, my wife the chicken Alfredo and the Mac Stack for myself. Mine, according to the picture in the menu, was to consist of two equal layers, the bottom layer being tasty pulled pork then topped with the Mac n cheese. It was served with a side of tater tots. What I got was a mess! The sandwich lacked the depth displayed on the menu and the most expensive park of the sandwich(the meat) almost as if the kitchen manager was non existent or didn’t care and had a heavy taste of butter. The tots could not be lifted by fork, they fell apart when I tried. These too were cold. The chicken Alfredo was rated as okay by my wife and both meals were given high marks by Rhonda. I was disappointed to see a commercially made breaded chicken patty come on the pasta. We thought about the chocolate fondue but quite frankly I was exhausted. As a former bartender and restaurant manager it hurt to see the bar back perform his duties he was so slow and unorganized. And as for the bartender, service couldn’t have been slower. It took over 18 minutes to cash out the check once it was presented because she didn’t come back. Not a whole lot of positives to share even the games need to be adjusted.

The food was not good. I ordered the chicken caesar salad and it tasted as if the lettuce wasn’t washed. I also ordered the Triple play(skins, wings, and cheese sticks). The wings tasted as if they were put in well water. I will not be returning anytime soon. If I do go again, it will strictly be for drinks and games. Oh and the service was below par. She didn’t get our drinks or food right. Also, we had to go to her to get our bill and pay. Smh.

I’ve been here twice now. The first time I only played games but the second time we had dinner too. I was a little disappointed but maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. As an appetizer we ordered the large pretzels. It was extremely doughy and the sauce wasn’t soft enough to get enough on the pretzel to make up for all the dough. Not a fan. For dinner, I ordered the Short Rib and Cheesy Mac Stack. Let me tell you, it looks way better than it is! The mac and cheese was a little dry, so the sandwich just wasn’t great. I got crispy tots as a side and those were delicious! Overall, I like the atmosphere but its super loud to have a conversation. They play music videos on the large TVs so it makes it very loud on top of all of the noise from the arcade area. However, they were playing amazing videos from the 2000s, so it was okay.(Britney, Nsync) They offer deals for Play & Eat, make sure to ask! Short Rib and Cheesy Mac Stack-Tender sliced short rib, creamy mac & cheese and bourbonglazed onions sandwiched between two thick slices of sourdough and grilled to buttery, golden-brown goodness. Served with crispy seasoned tots.

I took a date here and had a blast. We ate first, and I pre-judged this place so hard. I had the parmesan encrusted chicken caesar salad. The cesar dressing was creamy, and up there with some of the best cesar’s I’ve ever had. There was shaved parmesan as well, nice croûton, and the chicken was crunchy and moist. My date had the portabella burger with fires and she was shocked at how flavorful it was. I can’t offer much more detail on that however. I did the $ 20 power card with the cesar salad so it was $ 24.99. We played a round of basketball, mario kart, two rounds of some harpoon fishing game, a SWAT shooting game and then 6 rounds of skeeball. I got my ass kicked and had a place doing it. Then we picked out silly junk from the ticket shop and called it a night. It was fun, and I will come back without a doubt.

Having never been to any other locations I would have to say that this place is clean and well maintained. I have been to this location a few times and I haven’t seen many games out of service or games that have glitchiness. When they first opened I ate here and the food was awful! The service was awful. Food took forever to get to us, and we didn’t even get the proper order. Everything about the food portion of the place sucked. Granted they have been open for a while(8 months to a year?) so maybe they have raised their caliber. Played the Star Wars Battle Pod today for the first time, and it was worth the 15.0 credits. If they keep changing out the games & maintaining the favorites it will make the experience that much better!
