I tried the February special, Poorboy. I asked for cheese and all the trimmings. There was no cheese, a stack of lettuce and the meat was undercooked, raw.

Not bad, had the ribs and shrimp dinner with 3 sides, garlic bread, Mac and cheese and cagun rice. The food was all tastey and I did like their sauce but the portion is small and the price is fairly high at $ 16.95. On the way home my wife agreed that portions could have been a little larger. I would say it’s a good place to go to on the fly.

It’s a decent place to eat. I’m new to Homer Glen and I have to say the one thing that sucks is there is nothing to eat around here. So when you don’t want to drive far and you are lazy you will just eat here. One thing I noticed is that the burgers or any meat your order is always burnt, which obviously makes the food taste bad. And their cheese for the cheese fries taste and smells like melted plastic. The food isn’t the best. But I do have to say the people who work here are beyond nice and polite

If you need a go to place for a quick bite, carry out or ribs… go here. Two or three places failed in this location including a chain prior to Nicks. Why is Nicks still there. They care. Consistent service, food and cleanliness. Staff seems always in a good mood. Hard to do working a register all shift. I appreciate it. Service is polite and quick food is always hot when delivered to your table. I don’t gamble but they do have the slot machines there. But quiet enough in the corner. Place is neatly decorated. But staff makes this place and they are why it is still here. Along with probably an owner and or manager that keeps his staff happy and cares.

Good gyro, however, the gyro sauce was not yogurt sauce like other restaurants give you with gyros. I got a strange, yellowish sauce that did not taste right. Seems like it was a cheap version made of ranch or mayo. It was disgusting. Restaurant owner: please provide real gyro yogurt sauce.

Excellent food. Excellent service. Very family friendly. Have been going here for years and have never had one problem.

I live in the area and have gone here a few times over the years and went again this evening. The restaurant is filthy. Food and paper on the floor, dirty bathrooms. The food was«eh», the service OK and, based upon the lack of cleanliness, I won’t be back. Can’t recommend anymore.

Take-out on a Saturday! My mom suggested Nick’s, as we all felt like getting something different from our usual go-to’s and the end result was BBQ of one sort or another. I must mention though that Nick’s has probably over 100 different things on the menu, everything from BBQ to greek chicken dinners to salads to milkshakes. I ordered everyone’s food conveniently online. The order was ready when my Mom went to pick it up and there were no logistical issues which can happen with online ordering and order accuracy, no issues there, though. I got a beef brisket dinner and my parents split a full rack of ribs and a brisket sandwich. Our sides were corn, mac & cheese, pasta salad and fries. I thought the brisket was just OK. It seemed a little chewy and/or rubbery to me, which is usually an indicator of inferior meat quality, but it didn’t taste that bad and I was extremely hungry. I liked the corn cobbette, thought the pasta salad was pretty basic and wished the mac and cheese was a little hotter in terms of temperature. My folks agreed about the brisket but they said the ribs were better, but still not exceptional. We both agreed that while it wasn’t bad, it really wasn’t anything special, either. Especially for the ribs being nearly $ 20, and my dinner about $ 10. If you want some REALLY exceptional BBQ, make the drive out to Hog Wild in Midlothian. If my memory serves me right, I had a better meal dining inside at the Nick’s in Palos.

Walked into Nicks saw lovely families, enjoying quality time with delicious food. There are games in the back, I prefer kitty glitter but all around amazing time. Five stars. The food was brought out to us with a smile. Hospitality makes me feel like I Amat my grandmas. Lastly the music was quiet and uplifting. As I walked out, they thanked me. The only woods I could find were THANK U. #hungryface #hotdogface 5 stars.

Not very happy with this establishment. Family friendly but went there for dinner and had issue with manager. I had ordered one soup and it was cold. Asked for the other soup and the owner tried to make me pay for both even though I couldn’t eat the first. Won’t go back.

I always go to Nick’s, but lately it has been bad every time. I’ll post a picture of the steak I got for my ribeye steak sandwich. Used to be a good place. Now it is just bad all around

I think Nicks has the best lemon soup I’ve ever had! The gyros and salad are solid! I know it looks sloppy on the outside but the food is worth a try!

Food is ok, but kind of pricey for what you get. They lose major points for how dirty the bathrooms are and overall lack of cleanliness. I should’ve known to avoid this place when it seems as though the lotto and slot machines are their main focus.

Food is good, not great, just good. Value is good. Service is fine. But the drive through is horrible. I was just there this afternoon and it took nearly 20 minutes just to get me my food served. All I ordered was three rib sandwiches and a large fry. If your in a rush consider other options.

My opinion has really changed. It’s right near my home, so I went there frequently and tried to confirm my impression. Recently placed a large order for guests to my home. It was terrible. Chicken was dry as shoe leather. Portions have shrunk. I used to love this place, but not anymore. The following might be an inaccurate assumption. Use with caution: The, I am assuming, 20-something son now manages the place. Like many people who have inherited Dad’s business, he failed to inherit the same effort to please which made Dad successful in the first place. Now, when I walk in, all the help are very attractive young ladies and the(assumed) son presides like a king over his harem. His demeanor to customers is unfriendly and indifferent. You just don’t get the feeling that he values your business. I could be wrong and unfair with this harsh assessment, but this is my impression after multiple visits. I don’t go here anymore unless absolutely necessary, despite its convenience and proximity.

Food is always excellent. I think the beef is one of the best around this area. Restaurant is always clean and they always have more than enough workers to handle the business. The only thing that made them loose a star is the drivethru menu. It is soooo long that you need to drive back and forth to read the entire menu. In the meantime, the person on the mic is waiting for your order.

Food is ok. The only thing worth having here is the curly fries. Food never really tastes good. Definitely good service and nice staff though.

I never have had any issues with Nick’s until I came here. Things were just a mess. It was crowded but you are a restaurant. After I cleaned the table we sat and waited. Finally our food arrives and it was not even warm. The beef was dry, the shrooms were good everything else was just ok. Based on service and food quality I do not think I will come back here.

I have been to all of their other locations. This is the worst. The place was a mess. We couldn’t find a clean table anywhere. We waited about 20 minutes for our food to come. And when it got there it was cold. I ordered a gyros with no onion. The reciept said, no O in big letters. If I asked for this many onions, they wouldn’t have given them to me. My friend had the italian beef. I asked for wet. Maybe because it was so cold it was dry as bone. The fries and mushrooms were very hot though. Nick’s always has good food. I would have given it 4 stars. But the slow service, the dirty tables, the cold food and the onion loaf on my gyros knocked two off. WTF!
