Stopped in here for a bite to eat while walking around downtown. We were quickly helped as we sat outside on their patio. Our server was extremely friendly and very professional and had a good amount of knowledge about the items on the menu. Of course we both got a beer and they were fantastic. I almost wanted to order a second one but it was so hot. Our food came out quickly and both our meals were good. I got chicken strips and the lady got a salad as usual and they were both great. Very satisfied and we would have stayed longer to «try» more beers if it wasn’t so hot. We’ll be back when I’m in town next!

Amazing place to take dad on Father’s day. The menu has so much to offer. They have a little bit of everything from burgers to fish. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food and their drinks. The dad’s at our table did the beer sampler and they were definitely not disappointed. They have very high quality beer which made the meal even more enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu and to enjoy some amazing local beer. Thank you Lodi Beer Co for making my dad’s father’s day a memorable one.

Lodi Beer Co is in the downtown area of Lodi(two blocks). Cool brewery vibe, decent food, better beer. Service is the killer here, if you sit at the bar, prepare to be ignored. But if you can chill out, the vibe and food/drink will make it somewhat worth it. I recommend the plowshear porter if your a dark beer lover.

The food was on word… amazing! And the root beer was really good, coming from a girl who hates all the other root beers now.

This place is ok. I think the food is actually fairly bland. I tasted a few of my family’s orders and none of it had enough flavor. For people who don’t like bold flavors or we’ll seasoned food, I’d say come here. I’m not trying to be snarky, I understand some people don’t handle food that is very seasoned very well. This is the place for you.

In my 50 years I have eaten in Lodi twice. Funny enough and without design it has been here. Both times I had great meals — but this time I was able to enjoy several beers. Breweries take note: when you offer samplers as part of the menu, six different beers should be a minimum — 8+ is going above and beyond. The beers were very good, the burger and fries were excellent and the service from the hostess to the bartenders to clean-up was polite and professional. Great job!

I am giving them 3 stars for now. I will try them again. Here is why: We came in after wine tasting, and didn’t feel like a drink, which I assume is this places strong suit. It was crowded, and seemed like a fun place. I ordered a water, and the shrimp ceviche’. This is where it lost me. The dish arrived. A small bowl of shrimp, avocado, onion, and cucumber… so far, so good. Instead of a light lime juice sauce, it was summing in a dark green, non citrus goo… I ate a few bites, and we left. We will give this place another shot, and will probably stick with a burger and a beer next time.

Had a reservation at 6PM for 8 people. Showed up 10 minutes late and they gave away my table without even calling. Then told me I should have called and that it would be an hour if I wanted an actual table. Pretty pissed and won’t be going back. Went back today with the wife. Their club sandwich is probably the best I have had. Their blue cheese fries are ok. Would be better if they put them in a frying pan with a little blue cheese after they come out of the fryer but then again they are just fries(I. E. That’s a lot of effort for fries) but their garlic fries could also use a little more fresh garlic. The cheese loaf is absolutely amazing. The service today was probably the best I have had here but it was 11:20AM. Since this experience was much better than my previous I upgraded them to 4 stars from 3. Back again with the wife. Good service but the appetizer showed up with dinner. Bear is barely ok in my opinion. Tahoe brew co. blows them out of the water. I still like coming here but it could be a hell of a lot better. Mac and cheese or fish and chips for me.

I have been making frequent trips to Santa Cruz ever since I was a kid. On our trips back, we never stopped in Lodi — what the heck is in Lodi? Certainly no good places to eat, right? WRONG! My husband(who introduced me to craft beer) was the first person to bring me here. After our first time, this place became a traditional stopping point on the way home from the coast. Anyone who knows downtown Lodi knows about the charm of the place — lots of old buildings, small town feel — it makes you feel like maybe you stepped back in time for a minute. Lodi Beer Co fits in so nicely with this aesthetic. This is no hole in the way brewery — they really went out of their way to make the place visually appealing. Lots of brick, wrought iron, and copper tanks place right smack dab in the middle for all to admire. The ambiance is casual, but still really pretty. I have to admit, I have yet to find my favorite beer here. The red I tried yesterday was super complex and tasty, but I have been on more of a saison/cider kick lately and I am not a pale ale or IPA fan. My husband however, loves their Gold Coast IPA. Food wise, you are not going to get glamorous presentation, but you will get very tasty pub food. My go to has always been the Cajun burger(substitute a chicken breast for the patty) and it is totally delectable. Yesterday I decided to be a little healthier so I went with the salmon salad. Absolutely delicious! Even the kids were stealing from my plate! Stopping in here, you will not be disappointed. Whether you are a local or someone driving through Lodi, you are guaranteed to enjoy your time at this brewery!

This is the place to be! The best food and service and the place is extremely clean. The food and drinks were outstanding and you couldn’t ask for anything better when you walk into this place. Sports fan now worries they’ve got you covered with TVs in the bar area what better place to relax and watch a game.

I frequent this restaurant because it’s a sure thing. The food isn’t really anything exceptional, but the drinks are good and the service is usually decent. It’s a cool atmosphere in downtown, and I like to support local business over chain restaurants so this is a good place to gather for a quick lunch or dinner. The food is a little pricey for the quality, which is the biggest driver of giving 3 stars instead of 4.

Traveling thou Lodi today, a quaint Central Valley town, I asked myself, how’s the micros in Lodi? Well, I can say Lodi has a great spot indeed. It’s Lodi Beer Company. With a large variety of beers to choose from, one won’t be disappointed. The menu was quite intriguing with things like, deep fried mac n cheese, another was this hand made bread with 3 types of cheese dressed with balsamic and olive oil, whoa that was Yummy! I wasn’t sold on the Mac n cheese but the bread cheese combo was way way over the top. The menu was extensive and diverse. Although I could only eat so much, I paid close attention to what I saw being served around me. Healthy portions and friendly service. In short, I would say, rather you live in Lodi or just passing through., make it a point to stop and experience Lodi Beer Company. You will be glad you did. Even though I watched the other servers and cooks while here, I have to say TT, my bar tender and server had the right attitude. She greeted me kindly and I felt as if I were her only customer. So polite and efficient. So come, say hello to TT, or any one of their lovely staff and order a fabulous micro brew while enjoying anything from their menu. Trust me you will be pleased.

I love the ambience of this place. It’s always packed and lively. Although a brewery, it maintains a family feel. Today I had their basic burger and my cousin had the French Dip. Both were very salty, unfortunately. It could be our taste buds, neither of us use much salt in our cooking. Definitely had to chug down water after our meal or else we would have swelled up! The fried Brussels sprouts were really good though! Even though I’m rating a 3 star, I’ll probably return and try their pizza and salads. Service is always great, and salty or not, great place to hang out.

The main thing that was crappy about our experience is that they were out of what was probably all their best beers. Really disappointing. The fried brussels sprouts were delicious, but probably the most salty thing I’ve ever eaten that wasn’t actual salt. My BLT was tasty and my man was happy with his Cuban sandwich. The beers we did have were okay– middle of the road. Our server was great. We were there for quite a while and she was patient the whole time. We made a special trip specifically here, despite their 3.5 star rating, and it wasn’t as disappointing as I was afraid it would be. Heh. Sorry, Lodi Beer Co.

Walked into the restaurant, told the hostess our name and party of two, and was told the wait would be 45 minutes very rudely when there were plenty of empty tables. Three or four parties that came immediately after us were seated right away. We gave them our number to text us when our table would be ready, and ended up sitting at the bar for drinks. The hostess never texted us. Basically, the hostesses were extremely rude and felt very discriminated against. We came on a Friday night around 7:30. Never given a one star rating until this restaurant. Extremely disappointed and I just wonder why anyone would ever hire such rude people as hostesses. The bartender who served us was nice though.

Really cool place. Came here by accident. It was packed on a Saturday as I would expect for a brewery. It’s very open and the bar is huge with big mirrors which I loved. They have a full bar including a large variety of beers(don’t drink beer so can’t comment on that — sorry!). I had a glass of wine(decent local selection) and an appetizer(shredded pork quesadilla) — pretty tasty. I’ll definitely come back and try more food and drink. If you’re in the area — definitely stop in. It has a great vibe and nice bartenders.

Wow what a gem placed in the heart of such a quiet and quaint downtown. Most people are aware Lodi is a great wine tasting/drinking town amidst the Dodge Rams and Chevy Silverados lumbering about. This restaurant/brewery now makes the downtown a bit of a beer location too! Well hot damn how bout it! Nice large/open restaurant with great patio seating in front as well. Stellar for people watching on the main drag(S. School Street). They have all the beer types one would want so don’t worry. The IPAs, pales, hefes, porters, reds, pilsners etc. are all awaiting you. I felt like goin’ zero ‘dark’ thirty so I had a porter and it was delectable. Menu has solid variety and is not typical half-assed bar food. Salads, sandwiches, entrees, four quality burger options. I did the Bleu Burger(hold the Thousand Island) and it was a two full hand attack. Generous size. Cooked most excellently and the flavors stimulated the mouth left and right. My fellow diner had the«5 napkin burger»… yes you heard that right… it was a beast. After it was conquered… they said it was all that and then some = success. The dragon was slayed. Either don’t order the ceviche appetizer… or make sure to put the cocktail sauce on the side. Didn’t say on the menu it’s on there and wow is it drenched, not to mention not very good. Side step the ceviche sauce! Honestly, this place is great for any occasion and any mood. Fantastic gathering place in the heart of town, and a very well executed business. I should have bought a sweet shirt, dang it!

I almost never come down this way from Sacramento, so decided to change things up today and stop by here on a Friday around 11:30 a.m. I was sort of worried that I would run into a lunch crowd, but no actual worries there, since they only open at 11 a.m. and the place was practically deserted when I arrived. I ordered the beer sampler which comes with seven 5oz pours for $ 8.50. Here is what I thought: Liked: 1. Umna Hefeweizen — they said you should smell banana aroma & you actually do! 2. Helles IPA — great pine flavor Indifferent: 1. Lodi Lite — tastes like Bud Light 2. Gilt Edge Maerzen Disliked: 1. Brown Ale 2. Tart Cherry Wheat — too tart 3. Plowshear Porter The food menu is rather unimpressive for vegetarians and they don’t have my favorite thing to pair with beer either: a soft pretzel and beer cheese. If they had better vegetarian options, I would bump to four stars.
