Found this great sub shop by accident today while leaving Walmart. Ordered New Yorker steamer for my husband(ordered– to go). He loved it. He loved all the pickle spears. He was only able to eat half. Lots of meat. Soft bread. I went back hour later and placed another order to go for my daughter and myself. Mind you, she’s a picky eater. Ordered her Capt. Sorensen Datil Pepper Grilled Chicken w/o the onions and deli mustard. Easy mayo. I ordered myself turkey and cranberry w/o the onions, deli mustard(subbed regular mustard instead) and no mayo. Best sandwich I have had from a sandwich shop. Ordered firehouse salad with grilled chicken for daughters dinner. I spoke with couple regular customers there for their sandwich fix. They said every sandwich they ‘ve tried really good. Please donate to the firemen fund. Love the mural.

Nice looking store smells good when you walk inside. Staff members are friendly, I got a build your own sub with Roast beef & honey ham Swiss cheese. Should have had olive oil put on it and garlic powder would be nice too. OVERALL not bad ! Well come again to try a different sub. R.

I really love this place. I started coming here when Quiznos went out of business, and have never been disappointed. My husband and i have been several times, gotten different items, and always fresh and delicious! The staff is always friendly, helpful with advice or questions, and quick(as quick as fresh can be)! Will be a continuous customer!

Was excited for a new sandwich shop to open up and have been here a couple of times now. It’s a little on the more expensive side, but the quality of the sandwiches is pretty good. I usually get the one with roast beef or with turkey on white bread. The sauce they use is really good, and the toasted bread is very delicious. They have firehouse sauce that you can get on the side, which is a must with these sandwiches. If not for the price, I would have given it 4 stars, but I don’t think it’s worth the price. But I’d still come back because the sandwiches are pretty good. Service is good, but a little slow. They have TV’s with ESPN playing, which helps pass the time. The drinks are humongous. A medium here is like an X-large at mcdonalds. Anyway, overall, pretty good. Grade: B

Quiznos reborn! Not a huge fan a hot subs so this probably isn’t the place for me. The service was good the staff was friendly, the store was clean. I have to agree with one other Unilocaler the food is a bit over priced, but not too bad. The ingredients seem to be of good quality. The sandwich is small compared to others. I ordered a turkey bacon sub(my own style) I know they added bacon because I saw a crumble in the paper wrapping but never tasted it in my sub(not cool) One of the reasons I’m not a fan of hot subs is I don’t like warm lettuce(yuk) so by the time I got home the bread was a little damp(steam) the lettuce and tomatoes were warm. Like I mentioned in the beginning of my review this place is a ripoff of Quiznos, seeing as how they went out of business I’m guessing this won’t be around long. I personally won’t be back Jersey Mike’s is the only sub shop for me!

Not a bad sub spot, much cheaper than Jersey Mike’s and better tasting than subway for sure, I got myself the firehouse hero, love the selection of veggies you can pile on the sub itself, definitely will come here again

I am so disappointed in this place had my hopes high and mouthwatering could not wait to get a sandwich from here. I had gotten gift cards from here for Christmas so I used one. Very grateful I did not waste my money. My sandwhich was so bland and awful no seasoning at all and I asked for it. I paid for extra meat what extra meat? I asked and they are like it has extra, meat check your receipt. Um OK duh I know I paid for it. And the kicker was I asked for onions so I gave it back they throw some on top a basically was like bye leave now. So I did horrible customer service I guess I will regift my remaining gift cards what a shame.

A lot of people in lunch time. The taste is fresh meats are juice. They have a cool machine that fills the soft drinks my kids had fun figuring it out.

I saw a TV spot for this place, then checked it out on Unilocal.I’m glad I drove over from my training class. The food here is off the grid. It has to be one of the best sandwich/Subs I have ever had. I walked in and the staff was friendly and welcoming, the smell was amazing. the long line went very quickly. The food was A+ Wish there were some in the northland.

Great food selection, they were fast, perfect to go during lunch at work. Good amount of seating and they have programs to help the first responder programs. Strong recommendation.

A little pricey. I was with coworkers and decided to bite my tongue and eat here. Too expensive for my wallet… Definitely better than subway!

Good food. Had the smokehouse beef & cheddar on wheat. The bread has hardy and soft. Enough meat but not too much. I added raw onions and it gave it a nice crunch. Great flavor.

Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket is GREAT. The Firehouse Meatball is really good too. I could easily eat these subs 3 times a week. And their Veggie sub is more than adequate. Then why only 3 stars? I’m docking 1 star for each of the following reasons: 1. SLOW. I went in at 8:00 p.m. There was one customer in the restaurant seated at a table drinking a soda, and there were three employees. At the counter, I ordered two sandwiches. Yup, the Brisket sandwich and the Meatball sandwich. I paid for my sandwiches and patiently waited as one guy proceeded to make two sandwiches. It took 11 minutes. Then he bagged them and … to my disappointment, those sandwiches were for the other customer who was waiting at the table. Apparently he had placed a to-go order and was just drinking his soda. Then the same employee started making my sandwiches, and another 10 minutes later, my sandwiches were ready for me. It took 21 minutes from payment to pick up. It was a little frustrating to see only one employee making sandwiches when there were three employees in the restaurant. One was restocking the chips in the front; the other was cleaning. I’ve been here twice now, and this was my second slow experience. 2. PRICE. $ 10-$ 11 for a large sub. Really? They should be priced $ 6.99 to $ 8.99. They can definitely fix #1. In my future visits, if they are faster, then I will adjust this review to reflect as such. They probably don’t want to fix #2 because they want to call themselves a gourmet or premium sub. I can see how they can demand $ 1 or $ 2 premium over Subway, but $ 3 to $ 4 premium is really too much. This is why instead of eating here 3 times a week, I eat here only once or twice a month.

The staff here is amazing(Whoever worked 8÷22÷15 @ 3:30) you guys are the best, every single person said something to us… so friendly, quick and helpful, I was extremely pleased with the service. The place has a great atmosphere and they keep it clean. The sandwiches were good, they are definitely better than subway but not the best I’ve had. I did feel they were a little small for the price, I payed $ 10 for the medium Engineer sub combo. It is a 6 inch but it’s thinner than subway. My husband had the steak and cheese which he said was pretty basic, nothing special to it. They do have a huge hot sauce collection. Overall it’s pretty good, keep up the good service and everything else can be overlooked.

Tried this place for the first time and quite frankly I’m pretty disappointed by it. I had higher expectations. I guess they like to make their sandwiches carefully because my bf got his and mine came out like 15 mins later and by then he was done with his sandwich. The food itself was good. But high quality ingredients? Not this place. After I ate my sandwich my tummy bloated up and I was gassy. Which leave me to believe they put nitrates in their food. After how much gastro problems we had after that, I don’t think we will be returning.

Yep, I’m a regular! I absolutely LOVE these gourmet sub places! They’ve come to save my taste buds from the bland ol’ subs at Subway! My taste buds THANKYOU! When it comes to gourmet subs, Firehouse knows what’s up! I always have the hook & ladder LIGHT, which means it’s under 500 calories. It’s incredibly filling and oh SO tasty! I ask for no mayo, so I’m sure that helps in the calorie department. One of these days, if I happen to lose my mind, I’ll try another one of their subs! I’ve got my eye on that Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket … or that New York Steamer … *drools* I’ve had a bite off my husband’s plate of their Turkey Bacon Ranch and it was mighty delicious. They also have a cool electronic drink fountain that has tons of coca cola products to choose from. Service is MOSTLY excellent, except for this one time my husband and I went there for lunch and it took them what seemed like 20 minutes to get us our food. But always worth the wait! My only complaint: it can get a bit pricey. On our last visit we had 2 sub combos(chips + drink = $ 2.59 w/sub purchase) and our total came out to $ 19.08. Meh, maybe it’s the inflation. I seem to be paying that at lunch pretty often these days. All-in-all, a great place for lunch! Check, check it out!

I would occasionally visit Firehouse Subs whenever I’m craving a sandwich. My go-to sandwiches are Engineer and Turkey&Cranberry. It is similar to your typical sandwich joint, in that you can either only order the sandwich, or make it a meal with chips and a drink. But they are also different from all the other sandwich places in that their sandwiches come out fresh and hot. All the times I have ordered their sandwiches, the bread has been soft and hot, and the meat was fresh and tender. It does take a little bit longer for them to make your sandwich, though. But for me, it is well worth the wait. They also have this cool Coca Cola drink machine that can make a ton of different drinks! All in all, I would say that Firehouse subs is a nice place to stop by if you’re craving a sandwich.

I ordered a sandwich with no onions. My sandwich came with yes piles of onions. I asked if they could please make me a new one. The employee takes my sandwich and seemed annoyed. A few seconds later gives the same sandwich back to me. I can still see onions. I asked is this the same sandwich. Did you just pick off the onions with your hand? He said Yes. I said Well I could have tried to pick them all off what I wanted was a new sandwich. There is no way you can remove all the onions once mixed in with all the lettuce. They wouldn’t help… Didn’t offer a refund… Or to remake it at all… Oh well… Had it wrapped to go gave it to a homeless man… Maybe he liked it…
