While Ethan Allen has a beautiful collection of furniture and art my recent customer service experience left a lot to be desired. On my first visit my husband and I were searching for some art pieces for our living room — we were pretty much on our own walking through the entire store until someone finally noticed us. However, she was quick to remind us they were closing in 30 minutes. We did find some paintings that looked like options so we purchased them knowing we had 10 days to return them for any reason. However, when I asked if they could be bubble wrapped apparently I was expecting too much :(They ended up being too large for our space so I ended up returning them, this time going to the store with my mom. Once again, the customer service experience was less than ideal; our sales person implied she may not be able to process the return right away. I have bought many pieces of furniture over the years (mainly at Toms Price) and have never encountered this. After returning the items we drove across the street to Arhaus — it was such a pleasant experience and our salesperson truly went above and beyond helping my mom search for an item that was recently discontinued. Although Ethan Allen has many wonderful items I will not be returning to this location.

Purchased a nice leather chesterfield styled recliner. The design associate was very helpful. She was able to look at photos of the other items I had in the room and help me pick a color that would fit the space nicely. We’ve had it for a year and it’s my favorite piece in the room and is great American made quality.
