I was on a business trip in Lisle and was staying at the Hyatt Place not far from this restaurant and the only reason I decided to go is because I always see this restaurant in the Plaza here in Kansas but never ate there. Anyways I ordered the cashew chicken lunch special and I needed to get back to work so I told them to pack it up. When I got to my workplace I opened what I ordered and the first thing I notice was the portion, It was very small and when I tasted it, whoever cooked this crap need to be fired. It was freaking dry and nasty I ended up throwing it away. I paid $ 12.00 and because the bartender who was nice enough to offer me water I tipped her $ 3.00. I will never go to this place again. What a disappointment. if PF Chang cares for his customer he can email me and will be more than happy to let him know someone need to do quality control on those wanna be chefs cooking back in his kitchen.

Came here for lunch and got the lettuce wraps, lobster avocado roll, and the summer rolls. The noodles in the summer rolls were undercooked and hard but the peanut sauce was good. Lobster avocado roll tasted good, but did not have enough filling to justify the price. And the lettuce wraps were good as usual. Still an alright place to dine and service was good, buy I should have stuck to the favorites.

What has happened to Changs? It used to be one of our favorites! Second time we have been extremely disappointed in the quality of their food. Stopped by for carry out after shopping for a couple of our favorites — disgusting! Will never return…

We have visited this place since we came to the US and loved it absolutely. Its a little pricey but the food they serve is delicious. Their lettuce chicken wraps and sesame chicken are unmatchable. We have tried so many other asian places in different states but pf changs remains our top favourite. We go specially every time there is a special occasion like birthdays etc. must go place.

Let’s get this out of the way: PF Chang’s is not authentic Chinese. It isn’t. If that’s what you want, don’t bother coming here. It’s completely Americanized, and you’re going into this restaurant with that understanding. With this information in mind, I’ll write my review in that light(IE: not comparing this to «authentic» Chinese — spiciness, flavor profiles, etc). The ambiance is nice. The interior of the restaurant is large and it can seat larger parties easier than many restaurants. Service is attentive, pleasant, and helpful. It can get loud at peak hours because there’s no real separation for this massive space, but otherwise, it’s pretty decent. There’s ample parking & valet options(although it can still get crowded at busy hours). PF Chang’s gets a gold star on principle: the menu is really user-friendly. It notes gluten free options, small plate options, vegetarian options, and options for the health-conscientious. There’s something for everyone here, regardless of dietary restrictions. While they set themselves up for a favorable reception with ambiance, service, and menu(4 – 5 stars), the food is where they fall a little. Pork Dumplings(pan fried) were salty. Bland-but-salty. The sushi(Kaleidoscope roll) was bland. The fish wasn’t bad or fishy, it was just. average. Mongolian beef was well cooked, not too saucy, and fairly portioned. Ultimately I waffled between 3 – 4 stars. The location, service, and menu variety is fabulous. When it comes to ordering though, stick with the tried and true(lettuce wraps, crispy honey chicken, Mongolian beef, etc.) They’re much more flavorful.

Came here for a dinner with a combination of a birth, graduation and two retirements within just a mere 6 people… Quite a wonderful night. We sat close to the door, which wasn’t too present when the cold wind blew in… But was amazing because it made my family and I feel like we were the stars of the entire restaurant. Delicious food and music we were able to still hear while talking amongst ourselves, and not to mention the amazing wine. Also, Matthew was an awesome waiter!!! Hands down the best I’ve had from anywhere in a long time, definitely needs a raise… He was able to amaze myself, make my aunt and uncle from Canada laugh until their sides hurt about my aunt’s odd way of enjoying her Blue Moon. And though my nephew got a little rough and laughed loud at times as he pretended that my hands were spiders… Matthew made us all feel like we’re regulars and that we’re more than welcome back. And we’ll make a point of it to come back and make a point of it to have Matthew as our server again. Thanks PF Chang’s for celebrating with us, and inviting us into your restaurant.

Consider my opinion/Asian verified… No sparks in my mouth. Came here with family for the first time with a reservation on Saturday at 8:30pm. We were glad to be seated 30 minutes early. Waited a little over 20 minutes for our food to come out. The waiter was okay, we could’ve expected better… I prefer that restaurants bring out the food whenever it’s done cooking instead of waiting forever to bring it all at once! This place brings out the food for you table all at once– no wonder it took forever. My family ordered about 14 items off the menu(there’s 5 of us). We tried each other’s dishes, and most taste bland/tasteless. It is like taking a cheap Chinese takeout food then adding«fine dining» to it. Never going back here again.

The day I went to PF Chang’s is for my boyfriend’s mother’s birthday. We had a gift card and we were seated over in a private/secluded area. Which I enjoyed. Due to the fact, that the atmosphere was really loud and difficult to hear one another. So when we were seated where we were, I was happy that all of us could talk and make conversation. As for the food, the food to me was good, but their dishes are not as unique or blowing me away. Don’t get me wrong, the service and everything was great. To me, when I go somewhere to eat, I look for quality, great customer service, quality of food, display, ambiance. All that. So more so, I understand it is a chain, so that’s why I enjoyed it for what it was. We ordered the sichuan beef, the honey shrimp, walnut shrimp, the salt and pepper calamari, chicken wraps, sea bass, and the lobster and shrimp fried rice. Walnut shrimp, salt and pepper calamari, and the sichuan beef were my favorite out of the dishes we had. I heard the Sea bass was really good, but I am allergic to fish, so I was unable to try.

I will only give this place two stars because I actually enjoyed the drinks and they had a good wine selection. Now a out, the place had all the typical Chinese dishes that you’d usually get at a rebuttal local Chinese place but for the crappy quality that you got you might as well go to a regular place. My dish, Mongolian Beef had dry pierces of meat and the sauce was too overpowering that made the beef taste bad. The server looked buzzed and kept on telling us how much he wouldn’t eat these dishes. The other fish the Sea Bass was okay, for $ 30 price. We expected a whole fish since on the menu it has mentioned that it was cooked traditionally but got a fair sized filet. Over all. Me and my girlfriend decided not to visit the place again. Oh and the bathrooms were gross.

This place is the devil. They will lie to confuse you. But they will also mix lies with the truth to attack you. They will have three different sauces at the table and ask you if you like mild, medium or hot. The attack is psychological… and powerful. So don’t listen… Remember that — do not listen. It’s actually soy, sriracha and mustard of some sort… then they will arbitrarily mix them into some bizarre soul sucking super sauce. It’s the equivalent of going to Arbys and an employee asking you if you like spicy things and then squirting Horsey Sauce, Arbys Sauce and Mayonnaise into a paper sauce cup and stirring it together. You most likely don’t want them to do that… because one, it’s idiotic and weird… two, you’re not a toddler and don’t play in your food and three, it just doesn’t make any damn sense. It’s a slight of hand… they’re trying to distract you from the task at hand. The possession of your mortal soul. I’ve also had some type of noodle dish there before that was brought there by a time traveler. That’s right. A time traveler. Somehow PF Chang has brought 1950’s restaurant spaghetti and meat sauce back from the past and is trying to pass it off as lo mien. Go to someplace classy like Panda Express.

Yes PF Chang’s is an American chain, but you try finding an Asian restaurant that serves reliable and consistent tasting gluten free food that won’t kill you due to high levels of cross contamination Pro’s: + Located within walking distance from some hotels + Offers free valet parking, though it seems easier just to park yourself and walk + Gluten free menu. Since it’s a chain, you know what to expect. They follow the different plating. **If you are unsure of what that is, if you order GF, you should expect a round plate with a black line around the outside with the words PF Chang’s on the outside as well + They did a good job handling cross contamination. I didn’t get sick! + Friendly Staff + Decent bar seating area Con’s: — The crowd. Located within walking distance to some hotels and in an extremely busy area –Parking lot can get crowded as it is shared by a few large restaurants — It gets packed and loud, so if you want to have a conversation, it might be hard. Or if you want to have the noise fill awkward silence, then this can be a good thing. — Wait times can be long and the little waiting area can get packed — Restrooms can be a bit difficult to get to as you have to go through those who are waiting to be seated. ***If you seriously want to eat at a specific time, do yourself a favor and call ahead to make reservations or you can go on their website as well

This restaurant is a great ambassador for Chinese food with excellent alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks(Strawberry Cucumber mashup) that makes my tastebuds tingle. If you have non-Asians who have never experienced the flavor and spices of Asia, this restaurant is a good introduction and they will feel welcome here among the crowds as you will notice no Asians eat here due to the high franchise price lol.(And there’s gluten free options for you special peeps!) The Mongolian Beef, Lettuce Wrap, and Garlic Noodles creates a sensual feeling in my tummy that brings back feelings from my Asian Homeland. I love P.F. Chang!

i got the kungpao chicken and asked for spicy, it had red chilles but far from spicy. My colleague got the singapore noodles and she ended up having an upset stomach. The place was very tightly packed for lunch with the holidays and all. Our server Anant deserves a special mention for being very polite and attentive.

P.F. Chang’s is a large chain of American-style Chinese fast casual restaurants, typically located alongside larger high-end shopping centers and along trendy suburban restaurant rows, and often very busy. The Lombard location is as typical a P.F. Chang’s as you’ll find anywhere, for all the good and bad that come with it. GOOD: Like any casual restaurant experience, dining at P.F. Chang’s is what you make of it, and there is also some luck involved. If you are seated right away, get good service, and order the right food items from the menu, you could end up having a very enjoyable experience. The menu is safe and approachable, so it’s a good place to take the family if there are very old or very young people in your group. The stir fried spicy eggplant is, in my opinion, the most outstanding menu item — perfectly sweet and spicy. If you have vegetarians in your party, they may enjoy the lettuce wraps. My wife is gluten-sensitive, and enjoys the separate gluten-free menu. The house-made ginger beer(non-alcoholic) is the best ginger ale I’ve ever had at a restaurant. If you plan ahead and make reservations and adjust your expectations — and luck out with good food and service — you will probably have an enjoyable experience, as I have on many occasions. BAD: P.F. Chang’s(this and other locations) are typically very crowded and chaotic right around the time you want to have dinner. Even if you thought ahead and made reservations, or otherwise get lucky enough to be seated right away, you may still feel like you are in a crowded airport terminal before the holidays. These conditions will sometimes impact quality of service. It can’t be helped with such a large, busy dining room. I’ve had my order screwed up many times, and I can always tell that the delivery chain from kitchen to expediter to server can be stretched thin. Most disappointing for me personally is the ordinary-ness of most of the menu. P.F. Chang’s is constantly innovating their menu offerings with a lot of exciting-looking items. But most of them don’t taste very interesting to me. Even basic staples such as orange chicken are kind of… blah. If you want to have a good P.F. Chang’s dining experience, you should stick with the food items you know from experience are to your liking — or just get lucky. Sometimes your server will offer helpful advice, but not always. No way to tell. OVERALL: If you are in Lombard with one or more picky eaters in your group, and you want something other than the usual Du Page county hamburger offerings, P.F. Chang’s may be a good option. But if you are feeling a bit more adventurous, there are better options even around Lombard.

Tried to call to make reservations, they said they didn’t do reservations but if we came in at 7 it would be a 10 minute wait. Got there at 7 and was told it would be a 45 minute wait. Thanks for nothing.

Dang! This has always been my favorite place for Chinese. I think it has been about a year since I’ve been in but I returned again over the weekend. I was there for a late lunch and I was surprised by the crowd. He restaurant was busy but I was seated right away. Our server took our drink order and returned with the beer & wine in a reasonable time. The server asked for our food order as he was sitting down the drinks. We ordered soups and an entrée to share. The service was only average and we felt very rushed. The food was brought out almost at the same time. The beef and broccoli was ok but did not have the same flavor as I remember. I had to eat slowly because a good amount of rice was barely cooked. The hot and sour soup is still one of my favorites and I did not order the lettuce wraps this time. Overall– I was a little disappointed in the rushed service and parts of the food. This has always been one of my favorite restaurants so I know I will go back eventually but I might try another Chinese restaurant before I return.

We came for dinner and had a really good time! Our server, Christina, was super nice and friendly. Everything was served in a timely manner, and even got our bill quickly. We ordered: Vegetarian Springrolls, Buddha’s Feast, Vegetarian Lo-Mein, and the Vegetarian Fried Rice. Everything tasted great, and we even received extra sauces to go on the side. The portions are decent, one dish can feed 2 – 3 people easily. The interior was beautiful, and very nicely decorated to an Asian inspired theme. The customer service was beyond excellent for such a busy place, and I would definitely recommend this place and come here again soon.

I’m a sucker for Changs. Although they discontinued the Dali Chicken I somehow get by with the sesame chicken. This location has always been a solid Changs and put out a solid product within a reasonable time. During my Chicagoland trip I have visited this property twice. The service and quality has been fantastic. Kudos to the Oakbrook team. I will be back every time I visit!

my brother, his wife, and myself came to this PF Chang to celebrate the occasion of father’s day with my aunt and uncle, who raised my brother and I when we came to America. The atmosphere of the place was grande. I was kind of expecting a panda express kinda welcome, but the overall feel of the restaurant definitely sets it apart. The decorations appears new, the bathrooms are clean, and located near Willowbrook definitely helps raise its bar. Now we didn’t come here to admire its setting, so onto the food. Apparnetly their cabbage wraps appetizers were well-known, so of course we had to get one. On top of that, we also ordered grilled sea bass, fried beans, and an order of fried rice(kinda un-Asian, I know, but we are not exactly in a really Asian place, and my uncle sworn off of actual Chinese food for health reasons). To be quite frankly, I hoped that they used less oil when preparing the ingredients, but for the most part, the food was definitely freshly made, that’s always a plus. I did enjoy my dining experience, as our waiter was very attentive and cheerful. And our food was, to say the very least, decent. Pricing wise, I do believe that it is just. May come back for the lettuce wraps in the future, but not so sure about the rest.

Good food, but nothing memorable. I met some old coworkers here for dinner and ordered the chicken pad thai. Portion was generous, with large chunks of tofu and chicken. I’ve had the chicken pad thai at Pei Wei, which is owned by PF chang, and thought that theirs was better than this. I can’t explain it… it tasted good, don’t get me wrong, but it just lacked a certain«zip». Just kind of boring, I guess, in my opinion. Kudos to their flexibility on the menu– my friend wanted something spicy, but all those dishes had little vegetables to them. She was able to add extra veggies to her liking. The real winner was the Key Lime Pie martini. We had it as a dessert– it really does taste like a tart piece of pie and has a graham cracker crust rim. It was a definite treat! Service was very good, we arrived at 515 on a Friday and the place was pretty empty, but was more filled by the time we left(645pm). I would go back again, but wouldn’t think to suggest it.
