With the name«Burrito Town» i went in expecting them to have some really bomb burrito’s this sadly was not the case actually very far from it. This was the absolute worst burrito i have ever had it was a disaster. First off who puts lettuce in a chili verde burrito? They do lol. 2nd the burrito’s were barely even warm definatly not warm enough because the cheese didnt even melt. Salsa bar wasnt that great either. The green mocahete salsa was good but thats about it. To tell u the truth i think carls jr makes a better burrito thats sad to me. I will not be returning at all u can find way better burritos at the carneceria’s for less $$ too than this place charges.

So i went back a second time. This is what i got out of this place. Its hit and miss… It all depends on who the cook is when you go. i got a burrito and tamales again. The tamales are on point. But the burrito was not as good. It taste like they changed the beens and put a different type of cheese on it. But all and all, they are bot to bad. I still say give them a try.

If you don’t wanna read all this, skip to the bottom where I put cliff notes. I’m so sad… I really got excited about this place for some reason… First off, Burrito Town took the place of the Froyo Yogurt Bar. I know this because it charged my credit card for«Froyo Yogurt Bar.» This explains why they sell frozen yogurt AND Mexican Food. When we first walked in, it was easily apparent that they spent the absolute minimum amount of money just to get the doors opened. The paint job was a disaster, the ceiling tiles were a mess, everything looked used and dirty(not gross dirty, mostly just stained, look closely at the picture with lime green paint. you can see how terrible the paint job is near the ceiling) They did have what looked to be a pretty good salsa bar(limes were a little old and dry) with 6 or so salsas, onions, jalapeños, cilantro… heres the kicker tho. NOTORTILLACHIPS… They served a small handful of Doritos with their food… I don’t want doritos with my mexican food and I don’t know anyone that does honestly. I want chips and the delicious looking salsa in the salsa bar! Next up, the Menu. A place called Burrito Town should have more than 2 burritos on the menu(each burrito did have a few different choices of meat). Basically, it was two different sizes. They also had a taco, chimichanga, and tamales(as far as I can remember). I ordered the Carne Asada burrito(comes with onions, cilantro, rice, beans, meat) I ordered mine with no onions. It took about 5 minutes to get the food and it came out in a basket wrapped in foil with a few doritos on the side(still, I don’t get it… tortilla cheap are CHEAPER than doritos. why!?) The rice was overcooked, oversirred, and starchy. it was like a pink rice mush(lack of tomato sauce made it pink, not red) and bland. There was A LOT of beans in it… it tasted mostly like beans… the cilantro was fresh but I could hardly taste meat(although the individual meat that fell out that I tasted was very tender and good!) For some reason or another, it also had shredded lettuce in my burrito(not on the menu). The lettuce was warm and soggy… not good. My GF ordered the Tamale and Chimichanga. The Tamale was good… Really good actually. perfect ratio of masa and meat… tender, not dry. really good. The chimichanga on the other hand was beyond terrible. Aside from the fact that we were warned that there was a toothpick buried«somewhere» inside, it was cooked in oil that was absolutely not hot enough causing it to soak up most of the oil instead of cooking in it(you can see how light it is in the picture) I really hope this place gets help. I really don’t wanna see another business go down in Lompoc. CLIFFNOTES: –Messy, terrible paint and little effort into interior. Old Froyo Shop –Doritos on plate but no tortilla chips –Good Salsa bar but no tortilla chips to eat salsa with –Burrito was not terrible but I won’t go back for one –Tamale was good –Chimichanga was terrible. Almost made me sick because it was soggy and oily(not cooked at high enough temp)

This place is new but there coming along nicely. Our first experience with the food was sub par, however we decided to give it a second try and were pleasantly surprised. The chile verde and tamales were delicious.
