Fosters Freeze

I love our local Fosters Freeze. Have never had a bad experience with food, desserts, or people. They need new intercom for drive up for sure but we manage. Texas Toast and Ortega burgers the bomb dignity. Criss cut fries delicious.

The employees are nice, the food was ok, the dining area was pretty clean. The seat backs were pretty nasty and they charge an extra $.25 for a side of ranch.
They have obviously never seen/​heard of Farrell’s «Give em the pickle» video.
I’d give an extra star, maybe 2 if they didn’t charge extra for ranch.

This exceeded our expectations after reading reviews.
Ok so we only got 2 hot dogs, 2 corn dogs 1 fries and 1 chili and 2 drinks for 16 $ we thought that was a good deal for all that food.
The order was up quick and we had no issues at all with the cashier she wax quite pleasant even made a helpful suggestion.
It’s hard to ruin a Hot dog but trust me I’ve been places that have done just that.
No worries on this stop they were cooked just fine the buns were soft, not mushy.
The corn dogs were awesome– unless you were getting them from a fair or something like Disneyland’s Corn Dog Castle I don’t think you’d find much better.
The fries — were good as well nothing spectacular (typical frozen type fries but hey no complaints) but definitely edible even without something to drown them in.
The chili was was better than that national Hotdog chain that begins with W ;)
Lastly cleanliness — my pet peeve — the tables and floor as well as the drink and condiments area all appeared C-​L-​E-​A-​N!

Overall A-​Ok
This is a fast food place and yes we will go back maybe get shakes or ice cream next time; mmmm and more hotdogs :)

The food is not as good as it was when i was little. But i still love coming here. It always brings back good memories and its a friendly environment. You want some good ice cream then come here.

It wasn’t bad, but it certainly wasn’t anything I’ll be running back for. We had a few different shake flavors and nothing was unique or inspired, it was a milkshake.
I will say the flavors were good, and the consistency was also good. But given the choice I’d probably still prefer Dairy Queen over this place.
Inside was super dated too; my husband grew up in Lompoc and mentioned that almost nothing had changed in the last 15+ years.

It’s ok

veryyyyy over priced for the small amount of food/​dessert you get.
We only ate here once, wasn’t that great. We only come here now for the shakes, but the occasion is pretty rare because, again, of their high prices for a tiny shake you get in return.
i really miss when they had this place in Santa Maria on North Broadway where it is now another Mexican/​seafood restaurant (of course) near the Dollar Tree.

I crave their chili cheese fries and burritos all of the time.
