One of my favorite places in long beach, but has recently closed down. Wishing the owners the best though, their food was amazing! I’ll certainly miss their scallops and Brussel sprouts!

My husband, 1 year old and myself went here for dinner tonight. We were extremely disappointed by the small food selection. We had to ask for water 3 times before we received it and it took over an hour for us to receive our meals! Beyond disappointed.

My fatherin law planned a 70th surprise party there and it was great! We used the upstairs room, the service was impeccable and the food very tasty. My personal favorite was the watermelon salad — just delicious. Thanks to everyone there who helped make my motherinlaw’s night special!

Amazing buffalo chicken meatballs but you really must eat the tuna flatbread. I get for my main meal vs an app and it’s just so good! I had my daughter’s baptism here a few months ago and it was such a great party!

From the looks on the outside, it didn’t look like much. But it is very charming on the inside. The food is delicious and the service is great. I will be going back again soon!

I went there with my girlfriend recently. Let me start with the service, they seemed to be understaffed with what looked like only one waiter for the whole place. He was very nice, but he just had to much on his plate to be attentive. We started with the buffalo chicken meatballs which were actually very good. My girlfriend had a caesar’s salad which she said was underwhelming at best. I ordered the swordfish, it was a large piece which while tasty, was overcooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside. Like I said the flavor was good, but it just wasnt cooked all the way through, but yet the edges were tough. Overall I am not sure if I would give this place another shot.

Love Geri’s. Get the cavatelli, the chicken Milanese, the pork medallions, or really anything! Good service, yummy martinis, and great food.

I’m torn on the rating… food was terrific… wife had gnocchi which was amazing and plentiful, I had tilapia which was great… the issue I had was with the variety of the menu… only about 10 items on the menu with no substitutions allowed… wine/beer list was lacking(bud, bud light, Stella, and 3 micro brews)… What they do they seem to do very well but I would like to see a little more variety… Service was pleasant and quick… so no complaints there We will def be back…

I would recommend Geri’s to anyone looking for great local dinner spot. The place is eclectic and the menu is just right. We always order the Bolognese and the Pork Chops. We tried a new appetizer this time(buffalo chicken meatballs) and loved them! Great local spot that is always consistent.

I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at Geri’s. I’ve heard of this place from locals and after living in LB for over a year, I decided to give it a try. While the interior left something to the imagination, the food and service made up for it. Our waitress was friendly and personable which makes any dining experience more enjoyable. The food was delicious. There were homey options such as(much recommended) cavatelli bolognese and then something a bit more refined like the scallops. The beer and wine list could use some updating, but then again, this could be part of the«neighborhood joint» charm. Overall, Geri’s is an affordable and worth-while restaurant, and I can understand why so many recommend this place.

Excellent place to grab an inexpensive dinner! Geri’s serves up old school comfort food(and some new school as well). It’s become one of my go-tos in the Long Beach area. Start off with their buffalo chicken meatballs(yes, you read that correctly). Hidden gem on the menu: Cripsy Skate! I’ve been out fishing and caught skate before and was always told to throw it back, so I was skeptical about this meal. However, it was absolutely delicious! It was served over broccoli rabe(a favorite of mine). Definitely give it a try. I’ve also tried their cavatelli bolognese, which was a little heavy on the cheese but still very good. If you find yourself in the Long Beach area, definitely give Geri’s a try. This place is a hidden gem!

The whole«hidden gem» description of this place is probably the most accurate thing ya’ll can use. From the outside, it doesn’t look like much — small, non descript, hidden down on the east end next to a pharmacy and a small hair salon(PS, DECO bike station here too! Man, I love those deco bikes). Immediately upon entering, we were greeted warmly by the hostess. Its relatively small inside, with some booths and a few tables. The interior is a little funky — exposed brick, giant framed pictures of old school famous people(think, Marilyn, Frank, Rick James? Or is that Stevie Wonder…), and the people working there are delightfully quirky. We weren’t rushed, and they could tell we were on a date so they didn’t hover, which is nice. The menu didn’t have a million different choices on it, something I like. It seems like they have a varied selection of meals that they handle very well, instead of 85 million mediocre meals(pasta/chicken/meat/seafood — couple of each that can essentially satisfy almost any kind of eater). We split the mushroom ravioli(honestly, mushrooms and pasta and a little cheese — that’s like a combination of all my favorite things smashed into one)…verrrry good. Being a lady, I didn’t lick the plate, but that won’t last. For an entrée, I picked out the swordfish and the fella got the soft shelled crab special. Soft shelled crabs crack me up. They look just like crabs, obviously, but you can eat the whole thing. And, you can make a soft shelled crab sandwich with the rolls they give you, if you so choose. They were served with spinach, more mushrooms(yum) and I can’t remember what else. Judging by the empty plate… they were good. Swordfish is really, really easy to overcook… and they didn’t. It had a cajun-like seasoning on the outside, but it wasn’t over powering, and the fish was moist and just a touch rare in the middle — like its supposed to be. It came with rice, a substantial fish serving, tomatoes and onions and avocado. You could almost smash em all together and make a burrito. Almost. The portion size was generous — so I left full — and ya’ll know how much I like to eat. Service is obviously a huge factor in a pleasant dining experience, and the blonde waitress/hostess, jack-of-all-trades was great. She was bubbly and sweet, and just the right amount of «Long Beach Local» without being creepy. Now don’t go taking over this place — no douchebags allowed.

WOW, why so few reviews? The problem is that there is little or no advertisement. The food is outstanding. My favorites: seared scallops over a sweet potato mash & mushroom ravioli. My only concern is that the servers should be more knowledgeable about the wine list. The atmosphere is funky(in a good way) and the chef, Andy, is a helluva nice guy! Please frequent this restaurant. It is a hidden gem.

Outstanding! By far the best restaurant in Long Beach. I have tried many of the dinner entrees and love their almost famous spaghetti and meatballs, Osso bucco, and pork medallions. Three very excellent meals. The warm homemade dinner biscuits are yummy and their desserts are decadent as well. I dine there often and have never had a bad meal, nor have my family and friends. Go for the early bird specials(before 630 pm) and get a three course dinner for an excellent price. Luv, luv, luv Gerri’s.

This place has really good food! Dessert is also delicious. The place is never tooo crowded although i think it should be because it’s really good… i love the chicken milanaise. and the meatball sliders are very good! Nice date place! It doesn’t have a big bar crowd… low key dining.

I stumbled across Geri’s this past summer while renting a house in Long Beach. I live in Manhattan and I’m surrounded by great restaurants. Geri’s is right up there with all of them! From those delicious warm biscuits they serve you before your ass even hits your seat, to the wonderful main courses. Everything I’ve eaten here as been excellent. My favorite dish is the chicken piccata. It’s off the chain! The best I’ve ever eaten! Ask for it with a side of pasta instead of the potatoes that it comes with. The pasta soaks up the sauce a lot better. And there’s no extra charge for the pasta. Also, the scallop appetizer is pretty darn good. Some nice pesto going on in that dish. WARNING! From the outside, Geri’s looks pretty beaten up. But don’t let that fool you. «It’s GRRRRRREAT!»

This place is a hidden treasure. Their food is top notch. Great variety. Amazing pairings of flavors in the dishes. The staff is great. You can’t go wrong but my favorites are the: scallops, meatball sliders, ahi tuna, mahi mahi cajun style, bolognese & their incredible pork chops.
