We took our 2 month old out for his first trip to a restaurant and decided to try this Polly’s for breakfast. I could not be happier with our choice. The food was delicious especially the homemade jam and fresh coffee. The waitresses were very sweet and even offered coffee to go. I will be coming back.

My mom and i went for lunch. We had wonderful service. The staff was actually smiling. The bathroom was clean and fully stocked. The food is always good. And the pies are to die for. Cherry pie is my favorite.

We recently moved to Long Beach and were pleased to discover that Polly’s Pies, who had closed its South Bay location had a location close to our new home. To our delight we discovered that Julio, the former So. Bay manager, had been assigned to LB. We immediately noticed his attention to detail and customer service. He has staffed the restaurant with his«service personality». We have become regulars and love servers, Amy, Ingrid, and Jorge. My only suggestion would be they need to add their turkey meatloaf to their daily menu versus only Tuesday’s.

Always came here for breakfast when I was a bit younger. The waffles here are amazing, the flavor is unbeatable. If I could, I would overstuff myself with just those themselves. Everything else is fantastic and the service is spot on.

Polly’s is so homey and reliable. I love the veggie burger, Richard loves the turkey dinner and mushroom cheeseburger. People are so friendly, too. Still a great place!

I have such a sweet tooth BUT I’m not a big PIE person. I don’t like apple pie, banana cream, coconut, etc. I remember trying a cream cheese lemon pie before from Marie Callender’s that someone brought for X-Mas. So I hear about National Pie day, and I called to ask if they had something similar. They also have a cream cheese lemon pie. The pies were $ 7.99 for the weekend, and the pie is great. It has that tart taste but not too much. The crust is flaky, the cream cheese is thick too. The pie is GREAT! I found my new place for a great dessert. I noticed they have food as well, maybe I’ll be back for that. I’ve lived in Long Beach my whole life and have never came here until now.

Friendly staff, but it took a very long time to be seated and a very long time to get our food. It was odd because most of the seats in the restaurant were empty, but we were sitting at least 10 minutes in the outside waiting area to be seated. The orders of our party(2) were also very simple: two pancakes a la carte, french toast a la carte, two coffees. It took at least 30 minutes to get our food, and when the pancakes arrived, they were still batter in the middle. We flagged down a waitress(not ours, because he managed to disappear) and she apologized and had our waiter bring us a new stack. The second stack was still slightly undercooked and tasted much too sweet for my liking. We went back later that day for pie. The service was just as slow, even though we only ordered two slices of pie and two coffees and the place was practically empty. The pies were good, though. Probably more of a take and eat at home place, in my opinion.

The husband and I found this place while waiting for my car to be serviced at Hooman Toyota around the corner. Polly’s Pies is really a gem! I can’t say enough great things about the food and the service here. I always order the Polska Kielbasa w/eggs and hash browns and my hubby gets the Chicken Fried Steak w/egg whites and hash browns… one word, AMAZING! The service is fantastic, the place is super clean, the food and bomb. Nuff said!

This used to be one of my favorite places until the service turn so slow. The last two times we’ve been here we had to wait at least 15 minute just to get a server to walk over and ask what we want to drink. We’ll have to go somewhere else from now on.

If I could give them a 0 for this visit, I would. Left a review about other visits, and it’s been great. This time we got carryout, asked for one of the sandwiches with meat and cheese only, because my wife can’t eat mayonnaise or it can kill her. When the food came out, it had lettuce on it and she took back to take off. When she came back out I asked if everything was off it, she said yes. So I took the food home, opened the box, then the sandwich, and there is mayonnaise. So I drove back up and they said they would make another. Sounds great… take the«new» sandwich home. She ate half, started on the next, and spit it out. Turns out, they didn’t make a new one. They cleaned the mayo off, most of it, and tried to pass it on… Mind you, I told them my wife can not have because she is allergic to mayo. So instead of spending a few dollars on making a new sandwich, they will risk my wife’s life by «cleaning» the mayo off. Shame on you! If you think I’m being over dramatic about how important it is, than you have never been around someone who has had a major allergic reaction. Shame, shame on you…

Absolutely the worst service ever Came in for breakfast and was seated right away Waited 12 min for waitress to even come to my table I ask for coffee and ordered at the same time Later some one else drops my food on to the table and walks off I then waited and waited for my waitress to return so I could get eating utensils and condiments 14 min later she returned I complain and walked out, I refuse to eat cold food Apparently they have no manager or any one who gave a s**t

My mom and I had lunch here today. We were greeted when we came in and seated right away, our waitress was a friendly young lady who gave us great service and always with a smile! My mom had the chicken salad sandwich and fries and I had the 2 sides half turkey sandwich and took the slice of pie home for mom. The turkey is nice and thick and was a nice light lunch, We both enjoyed our lunch and sat in a booth overlooking the street, bright and sunny. The restroom is very clean, and nicely remodeled. We had great friendly service here and a nice lunch, employees were helpful(held door open for us upon leaving restaurant, and seating) regarding senior in wheelchair, This will be one of our«go to» places for lunch. We really enjoyed lunch here today! Thank You!

We’ve patronized this Polly’s for many years, both sit-down and takeout, here and when it was across across the street(Ximeno). Tonight we got their recent peach pie combo special as takeout, which started with some bumps in ordering… The young woman at the counter who took the order stated they were out of their fresh peach pie, then came back to stare more had just came out of the oven(baked fresh peach?). The best part of our order was the fresh Kona potato chips(though lacking salt). My spouse’s ‘Polly’s Burger’ was just average, and the ‘Avocado and Friends’ sandwich that I’d ordered, while having fresh tomatoes, solely one sliver(yes, sliver) of avocado per half of sandwich. Plus, while eating the sandwich I bit on something hard — the avocado stem’s node eye(which, could have cracked a tooth if I’d actually chomped down). Needless to say, we were quite underwhelmed. Though customer service has remained top notch at this location, I can’t say the same for the food, which has slowly declined(other than breakfast) in recent years. Hence, my rating is solely based on tonight’s food. It’s sad to witness this location’s food quality decline.

Basic food that is neither bad nor great. I guess the prices match the quality. Service was friendly, but slow. I like that some of the breakfast had a Hawaiian theme. Ironically, the pies are just average. To me, if you put Pies in your name, you should knock them out of the park. The best is that they hit a single or bunt safely to first base when it comes to pie quality. Just like their food, basic that is neither bad or great.

I had a great first experience here because our waitress Carina was fantastic! She was very patient and thorough with the explanations of the menu, she made sure our pricing was charged fairly, she checked on us regularly. I haven’t had great customer service in a long time. She was great. Food wise, we ate the pick 4 deal and my grilled cheese was delicious. My issue was that my chili was cold. The Mac and cheese was pretty tasty too but small in portion… Maybe buy a regular portion of you love Mac. I would way here again. If you have kids, it has a craft & games night on Thursday.

We come to Polly’s Pies on Sundays after church and its usually fairly crowded but they accommodate a large number of people well. Breakfast is consistently good and very affordable. Sometimes they even have a free pie raffle… that’s always fun. They forgot to bring my toast with the breakfast. . And we did not win the raffle :-(

I’ve been here a few times and the restaurant is quite the typical diner. They have a strawberry lemonade that is really good. They add real strawberries to the drink. My first visit I ordered the quarter chicken with baked potato, vegetables, and side salad. The roasted chicken was very flavorful, moist, and had crispy skin all at the same time. YUMMY! The vegetables were so tender that they melted in my mouth. The side salad was beyond my expectations, most places normally give you iceberg lettuce, one tomato, a croûton and maybe a sprinkle of cheese. My buddy had the country fried steak, mashed potatoes, and stuffing. He said it tasted like cafeteria food due to it being lukewarm/cold. 2nd Visit — We stopped in for breakfast this time around. I ordered bacon, eggs, potatoes and toast. I wasn’t that impressed with my meal. He ordered the Not Chicken Pot Pie and the portions were huge. The flavors were all there including the crust. I may have to try this dish next time. 3rd Visit — We got our food to go. We ordered a whole roasted chicken special with mashed potatoes, cole slaw, and biscuits. I ordered my favorite ¼ chicken with sides and he the turkey pot pie. The meal was really good this time around. Also, this is where I discovered their chocolate chip cookies… OMG… They are so gooey, moist, and better than Nestle and American Cookie Co. It’s like they are homemade and baked with love. Side Note: If you go around closing they may give you 50% off the baked goods.
