This place is permanently closed. Came to have their Alaska omelette but guess not. This place was the only place that sells seafood omelette.

Greeted with smiles and taken to a comfy booth table by the window. I ordered the waffle with two eggs and two sausages. It was pretty basic, but I enjoyed it all since the service was particularly«homey.»

I went here even though my brother did not have anything nice to say about it. Well, I should have heeded his advise. This restaurant is suffering from an identity crisis. Is it a breakfast club, or breakfast and dinner club? What type of food does it serve? American, Italian, Japanese, Korean, etc. They have Brick brand macaron ice cream sandwiches up front. And, most people will not get it or understand why. Oh, they must no longer be Italian since they covered up the pizza portion of the menu. Regardless of the above, we came here for breakfast. Our party had Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs(2x), pancake stack with strawberries, senior Denver omelette, and the meat lovers omelette. Of all the main foods and side dishes, only the house potatoes had any decent flavor. The chicken fried steak had no taste. One person had hash browns that were nicely crisped on the outside while the other’s looked like it wasn’t cooked at all. Both omelettes lacked any flavor until hot sauce was poured on them. Heck, both looked flat and were not fluffy/light at all. The english muffins were on the burned side. The only positive experience was having Sarah as our server. She was friendly, attentive, checked on us frequently, and made sure our iced teas and coffee were filled.

Been here twice and got the same thing twice, and so far, been pretty bomb. I got the club sandwich and a bowl of tonkatsu ramen. The noodles were firm but not super hard. The broth was pretty good, the pork was a bit chewy and arent thin sliced like im used to. Yes, im keeping in mind that this place is called breakfast club LOL but the ramen was decent for what its price was, and mainly, im lazy to drive out to my ramen joint in gardena, when this is literally across the street from my local chase. Both times ive come on friday payday, and just decided to make this, i guess, my treat after my trip to chase every payday. The club sandwich was legit, crunchy and crisp. I get them with onion rings which are ok, havent tried their fries yet. I know some reviewers stated their prices went up, but i havent been here before the changes in ownership so i dont have those prices to compare to but to me, their decent enough to come back. I mean, until The Pan opens up on long beach.

Worst breakfast I’ve had in a while I got eggs and bacon with hash browns and a English muffin. The eggs weren’t cooked well asked for over medium and got barely cooked over easy, bacon was limp and had barely any flavor, hash browns were hardly on the flat top because they were barely browned on top, English muffin tasted like it was just defrosted, my coffee was bitter and the only thing I enjoyed was my OJ. Definitely not coming here for breakfast again.

Very good. I ordered the pancakes. I liked that there was an option to chose 3 different types of pancakes on one plate. I got banana, blueberry and straberry for $ 8 and added 2 eggs and bacon for an extra $ 3. My husband got the eggs Benedict and that was really good too. The waitress was really sweet and the service was great.

Good food but waits are ridiculous! We were seated as only the second table of people in the resteraunt and still had to wait 45 minutes for our food. Had to ask for my moms salad to come out before everyone’s food because she had a meeting to go to and the food was taking so long. Bummer because we’ve been coming when it was Bixby Café for years. The food isn’t good enough to wait this long now so we won’t be back.

Great food and affordable price. Not your ordinary breakfast. Clean restaurant, friendly staff, great variety in the menu. Will go back for sure.

Service was slow. My silverware was dirty. 3 people asked us about our drink order. I wanted to get one of their barista drinks but they don’t have non-dairy milk. I wanted coffee and asked if they had non-dairy creamer the waitress said no. A few minutes later I noticed some on another table. Apparently our waitress doesn’t know what non-dairy creamer is. Some of the bananas on my pancakes tasted like onions. How is that possible? I asked for crispy bacon and ended up with rubbery bacon. My mom asked for a biscuit and got an English muffin instead. I asked for the check twice. I’ve been here a few other times and thought the place was average at best. Since other people I know liked it I gave it another chance. I most likely won’t be back. If l were alone I would have asked for the manager and a refund. Since I was with others I just kept it to myself. Now I’m sharing with you guys.

Literally just called this place and asked about picking up an order. The guy quickly said their oven was broken and hung up on me, as if that was the only question I had. NOT the first time for this to happen. How rude. Their staff hasn’t gotten any better since Bixby Café.

I have eaten at the Breakfast Club many, many times. Since before they changed owners. I must say I am disappointed with the wait this past Sunday. We were sat down immediately but had to wait about 15 or more minutes to be attended to by a waiter. Only person who noticed us was a busser who offered us coffee while we waited. I waited about 10 more minutes for a refill when my coffee was empty. Then another 45 minutes to get a simple breakfast item. It’s not just the waitresse’s fault. I saw the owner Walked past us several times. I would have been content so long as SOMEONE offered us more coffee. I ordered three buttermilk pancakes for about $ 6 which were extremely small for what they cost me. I’ll definitely re-think going back here. The service has really gotten worse.

Found this place when I moved to the LBC years ago. The original owner had A LOT of variety, good prices, and was very friendly. Then he sold it, they did a remodel, and changed the menu. Good bye variety and good prices. My husband and I still came each Sunday, it was our one day a week to breakfast and enjoy the day. Then that owner sold the place. The new owners have significantly changed the menu and upped the prices. $ 2.95 for a side of fruit, $ 2.20 for house coffee, and $ 7.95 for a stack of three pancakes. We probably won’t be back.

Don’t come here if you want to be ignored for 15 minutes upon being seated and ignored again 15 minutes after getting served water and two straws. I don’t care if it’s Sunday and you’re busy. If I see that I have to wait two to three times longer to be served than the people you sat after me, we’re going to have a problem. In addition, why do I have to wait 20 minutes after I’m done with the meal to get someone’s attention to give me the check? Instead of waiting another minute, I got up and went to the front to pay and told the girls behind the counter very loud and clear, «how much do you think I should tip a person that completely forgot and ignored me?» Obviously, they just looked at me like the stunned, incompetent people they are. Silence was the response I got. Also, their idea of «crispy» hash browns really means soggy and luke warm. Not coming back and I do not recommend coming here because the service needs to be improved ten-fold.

First time here and it was great! Had the Wet Burrito with jalapeños and avocados inside. Had a taste of both with every bite. Will definitely be back again!

If you like cockroaches walking across your food then this place is for you. While enjoying my breakfast this morning I looked at my plate to see a small cockroach wondering around my English muffin.. I immediately got up and walked out. I have eaten here in the past and it was fine but I can never go back.

In in SHOCK. I have waitressed for years and I’m very understanding but when you sit there for 15 min and every new table gets a waitress and no one acknowledges your there except the bus boy is pretty sad, and many servers were just standing around. I went to the front and told them what was up and they just stared at me, so sorry no thank you no nothing. Ridiculous

Breakfast Club of LB, I hardly knew yah! Gone is the all day breakfast & now enters a happy hour pizza promotion with some Asian cuisine choices sprinkled into the menu. In my last visit here, they still have the same friendly service and the omelettes entrees are humongous & satisfying. I went with the Lobster and shrimp omelette. Omelette orders are accompanied by two side orders, of which I selected selected hash browns and cup of fresh fruit. The omelette is huge but I saw very little pieces of lobster inside. It’s kind of confusing on why the cooks decided to decorate my omelette with an empty lobster shell on top. There were a lot of shrimp inside though. This place needs a new name and maybe readjust their menu. I am not sure if they are trying to serve American food or Asian food. Not my favorite breakfast place on the Atlantic Ave… but you do get a lot of food for a bargain price!

One of my new favorite spots… They have breakfast selection, not in food, Asian food, and more… I loved my Ramen noodle, and I ate here one of the best waffles I have ever eaten… This one is a little crunchy and tastes different then the waffle at Roscoes chicken and waffles, but they are both excellent and each have own distinct taste!

New owners have the right to come in and change the menu. Customers have the right to not come back. Bring back the Cobb wrap and steak fries!

Yes its changed owners & yes hes a hard working korean fellow who is trying to get a start … I give him credit for trying But !! False impression thru not changing your signage & totally changing your menu are going to drive your customers away — I hope the new owner reads these reviews as i want the business to suceed.

What happened here!!! I wanted to walk out and go home after I saw the outrageous menu changes the new owners have made, but our server was so nice we felt horrible to walk out. Lets take the changes from the top: 1. No more fresh biscuits when you arrive 2. They are called the breakfast club but no longer serve breakfast past 3PM??? 3. Bye bye Banana’s Foster pancake! 4. Happy hour, really? 5. Half the menu is gone and has been replaced with KOREAN, yes Korean food 6. The prices have gone up up up 7. They serve sake… bombs away! 9. Portions are smaller 10. Egg Rolls come with everything 11. No substitutions 12. No more build your own omelette or egg beaters My God, save your time and don’t bother. I’m sure they will be under new ownership in a couple months, and perhaps we can get to the business of making breakfast. Until then, we don’t need another Korean, Pizza, sometimes breakfast joint in the LBC. Say no to crap people!

This place was a step above Denny’s. The coffee is bitter, the servers seemed joyless and didn’t upsell anything on the menu. Food took a while to come out too. Can’t see a reason to go back. Honestly, the food was not terrible but it’s just nothing special. There’s so many other great places to go nearby like Black Bird or even Polly’s.

It’s just a city street-side diner of no distinguishing feature or claim. It’ll do when Bake ‘n Broil is closed or crowded with the OGs. Think Denny’s light(especially on desserts).

They jury is back and they still rate it a 2-star. I really wanted to like this place. Really. I had the Greek fries and the Philly cheese steak sandwich. The sandwich had nice fresh slices of bell pepper and onion, but the baguette was too dry and crunchy for my liking; a thin spread of mayo would have remedied that nicely. The Greek fries were really unique; gyro meat, feta cheese, some sort of light lemon dressing and the tzakiki(sp) sauce. The problem was the fries; they use steak fries(ok) but they’re not nearly crispy enough because all the toppings make them soggy. All they need to do is cook the fries, let them rest for a minute or so, flash fry them for 10 seconds and let them rest again… they’ll be nice and crispy. Sure, it takes longer, but good food takes time and is worth the wait. Also on the irritating side are the beverages; water is in a tiny 6−8oz. glass and ice tea(with lemon and mint garnish, nice touch) is in one of those glasses you’d expect to have if you ordered a shake or malt; 12oz. at most. This necessitates having to flag down you’re server(if available) or someone else when you’d inhale a cold beverage on a hot day. Other restaurants use larger glassware for a reason… fewer fill ups. Other sticking point: $ 8.95 for each item and not worth it. $ 7.95 for the Philly and $ 6.95 for the fries would be more in market(and I’ve seen other places with precisely those prices). Don’t think I’ll be returning.
