Good place to chill. Great drinks. Friendly bartenders. Good music. Clean. Good place to hang after work.

Want to go to a bar that allows their patrons to be rude by blocking their ordering station drinking their drinks knowing that others want to order? Well ypu’ve found that kind of clientele at The Brit. And you don’t need to drive to West Hollywood for rudeness of their patrons. I THOUGHT this was Long Beach NOT WeHo. I guess the Mgt rule is, screw those who’ve been coming here for years.

Drove from Downtown Los Angeles to TheBrit just to find out there isn’t any parking what so ever. It suck.

One sure way to get a star deducted from me, is by being cash only. In today’s world, I should be able to complete my purchase through apple pay on my iPhone, let alone using a credit/debit card. Cash only is not very consumer friendly. i will say that at least, the prices are super cheap and the bartenders are super cool people. I was also surprised by how good the music is. I guess I expected more of a British pub experience but didn’t find it very British in there. outside of the name of the bar, the only other part of the bar that I found British, was the red telephone booth. And this booth wasn’t even a real booth; it was was the frame to an ATM machine, that they placed in the bar, because they don’t accept cards as payment! Lastly, if you’re familiar with the area, then you should be familiar with how impossible the paring is in the area.

Remember these names: DAN, LANCE, RANDALL, DOUG, and ROBERT. These are bartenders that will take care of you here at Brit. They keep the mood casual and fun, sexy and free, Netflix and chill. Whatever you do, stop by and have a drink! Yes I’m drunk writing this. It makes it honest.

The two best things I want in a great bar are good drinks at good prices, and a friendly staff. The Brit has both in spades! The crowd is a bit all over the place, but the bartenders make sure you’re having a good time and that you’re never running low on alcohol. Leave the credit card in your wallet– this place is cash only. If you find yourself in the South Bay, I suggest you stop by– it’s a fun place if you just give up the attitude.

Dive bar for sure, good patio space outside. Maybe not a great time coming on pride weekend(crowded, I was here as a supporter ^_^) there was a good vibe overall. Small dance floor and good music with lasers to lighten up the place.

Great atmosphere, friendly fun staff, beautifully tasty drinks, customers are always playing great tunes on the jukebox, 2 pool tables, and a nice large outdoor patio with tables and chairs for us smokers to enjoy! Love this place and I always take a trip here when I’m in long beach.

Is this still a gay bar? So many straight women in here every time we stop in… we are seriously thinking about going elsewhere. #nolongergay #toomanystraightchicks #jerseyshore

My boyfriend and I came here one Friday night on a whim. We live just down the street and wanted to get silly without having to drive somewhere and then worry about how we’d get home. The bartender here(although we didn’t get his name) was very sweet and made super strong drinks. The music played here is great. We met the friendliest guys here! It’s always fun making new friends. We haven’t been back since, but are dying to visit again. Maybe this weekend. I would definitely bring my friends here!

Must be a new bartender. Dirty Martinis– ULTRA dirty. Yuk! Omg was like brine! For $ 18(wtf– this ain’t the abbey people!) I would at least expect to taste some vodka. Blech. Never again.

My favorite gay bar in Long Beach. Lance, the manager is a great guy and makes a STRONG drink. My wife and I come here a lot and being straight, have always been made to feel welcome. Also, I find that The Brit draws a very friendly crowd. Not something that happens at all the gay bars on Broadway. They have pool tables that run .50 a game, an outdoor patio you can smoke on and a cool atmosphere.

Came here after brunch, place was empty when we arrived. Dan the bartender was super chill. The people we came with were awesome. We would come again and enjoy an afternoon.

The last time I visited was probably close to 5 years ago. I don’t frequent Long Beach as often now that I stay primarily in the Valley on weekends but I remember Broadway having some great bars so this was our first stop. I am seriously happy we chose this one to begin the night. They have really great deals for happy hour that starts early. They have good beer and CHEAP pitchers. Loved the music, they played a great mix at kept us there a couple of hours. We went bar hopping to the Mine Shaft and the others but ultimately came back to this one. They have a pool table and a nice outdoor patio. The bartenders were super chill and very friendly. This is a great place to bring some friends on the weekend. Forget Downtown LB, Broadway is where it’s at.

Theyhave pool tables and a patio to smoke. If you go with fun friends you are bound to have a great time I also like that you can dress casualand just feel comfortable being youthe crowd here is nice and not smugthere is an atm inside

I’ve always loved going to this place. Now that I live within walking distance I find myself here at least 3 –4 times a week. They have wonderful daily drink specials and everyone who works there is absolutely fabulous. Special shout outs to… Robert, Randall, Lance, Steven, Dan and who can forget Dale! As a woman I have been accepted as one of the locals/regulars and I feel much respect for being the straight married couple who support and love this bar! SUNDAYFUNDAYS here are a blast. Parking is an issue since its all street parking. But if you live close like I do just walk it.

The Brit isn’t the classiest place, but it’s definitely the better dive bar. Drinks are cheap and the music is up to people paying at the video juke box. There’s an out door patio for the smokers and two pool tables inside. Stop by for happy hour or on nights pool is free. I go here pretty often because I live close by. The restrooms aren’t always the cleanest, especially on busy weekends. Don’t come with high expectations and you might be blown away by the awesomeness.

It’s a pretty friendly bar. Being a new kid in town, I was able to find a seat and hang out comfortably at the bar. The bar tender was attentive and kind.

I love the Brit, mainly because of their AMAZING bartenders. They have great service and cheap drinks. Their jukebox has EVERYTHING and their covered patio has plenty of room with heating. Only downers; patio closes earlier than any bar on Broadway, their DJs cant mix a decent tune(thank god they only work weekends) and their manager Joe is a royal fake and a total @$$.
