The Mail Box

One star only because you can’t leave zero. Wanted to charge me a buck to drop off a small PREPAID ups box. Makes you about what else they are going to gouge you for. Dropped my package at the nearest competition for free and got a receipt, which this store doesn’t offer.

These guys rock! I sent a very important package overnight Saturday delivery by 12noon. UPS did not deliver it and then lied about the delivery, These wonderful people helped me get the package delivered (late due to UPS) but delivered and refunded my money, because of UPS error. They were amazing and helpful every step of the way. Check me out!

Outstanding service! Jeff helped me this morning with an overnight package to Canada and after I left they found out that DHL Express would be way more reliable. They even covered the extra charge and emailed me to not worry about it. Above and beyond what anyone would expect!

Man, I hate to write this review, but I was really disappointed the other day. I am a regular customer (personal and business needs both) at The Mail Box.
I was mailing a thank you card that was a bit small to pass through the mail, so they offered me a larger envelope to put it in. I thanked them, moved the stamp, addressed the new envelope, and put my small note inside. Then when my totals for multiple items were read back to me, they charged me $ 2.50 for the envelope!
A) That’s pretty steep for ONE plain white envelope.
B) She gave it to me without mentioning a price implying it was a courtesy.
C) I wasn’t told the price until after I already wrote on it and sealed it up.
Sorry Mail Box, but you bombed in customer service that day.

I reluctantly came to this place for mailbox services when Sign, Seal and Deliver closed in Belmont shore. It’s actually a little closer to home so it hasn’t been bad at all, I just resisted the change.
I’ve had nothing but great service from the staff here. I mostly just pick up packages and mail, but there have been a few times that I have needed things copied, faxed, packed, and Internationally mailed and they made it really easy.
Robin is always very friendly and polite, and I love it the days that I see Cooper there.
Their e-​mail/​text service lets you know when you have a package, and it even tells you who it’s from. Occasionally I’ll call in and ask them to check my box for something I’m expecting (so I don’t have to make the trip there) and they always oblige.
Great place, would definitely recommend.

I came for notary services. The lady was fast and reasonable ($ 10).

We have used The Mail Box for approximately six years or longer and we just love their friendly and prompt service. The owners are so sweet and very professional not to mention helpful!!! Even their mascot, Cooper is super friendly and sweet!!! We count on their services and totally trust them to get whatever we are mailing to our destination on time!!! An added benefit is their cute little shopping area! You can purchase a quick gift or card for that special occasion!!! The store is always decorated so cute and always clean!!! Highly recommend.

Love this place. They have tons of cute gift items, the customer service is great, and it’s way more convenient than waiting in line at the post office.

Kind of a weird vibe here. I called ahead of time to see if notary was there and person on the phone said yes. When I got there, she apparently stepped out to buy stamps and wouldn’t be back for 15 minutes. I had 3 documents to notarize and one requiring 2 witnesses. The first employee told me witness signatures were free. When I went to pay for everything, she charged me the same price for the witnessed document as the notarized document. I told her the other employee said it would not cost but she insisted that they do charge. Why didn’t she tell me up front?!

Friendly service and a dog named cooper as a mascot? My boyfriend and I came to get something notarized and they were very helpful and did everything quickly. Paired with a good sense of humor and a dog which gives you a look when you stop scratching him, its a great place to go to for all your mail needs!

The Mail Box is the best place to ship packages, send faxes and get notaries. Way better than going to a UPS store or the Post office, where the service is horrible and you can tell the workers hate their jobs. Robin and her daughter Brooke, who own and operate the business are always friendly and will even check your box for you if you call in (post office WILL NOT do that). They have a good variety of cards and other gifts, as well as delicious KettleCorn.
I always run into problems when sending packages through the Post office, which is why the only place i go to now is The Mail Box in long beach!

My husband and I had a need for a notary so I went to Unilocal and found The Mail Box. They were great, totally helped us decipher our paperwork and at only $ 10 a signature, its a great price. They also ship out UPS and FEDEX and have some great cards and gift items. The best part is the shop dog Cooper who has the best nose I’ve ever seen on dog, and is super lovable to boot.

Tons of awesome gift options, handmade cards, etc.
The service is the best. Way better than going to a UPS store or any other PO box, mail service shop.

I’m a longtime customer of The Mail Box (since before Robin bought the business) and the thing that keeps me coming back is the level of personal service they give to each of their customers. They know my kids, so I can send in a kid or two to retrieve the mail if I’m stuck in the car with the baby. They’ve stayed late for me when I HAD to pick up a package and was running late. They’ve called me to alert me when I’ve received an important package.
I will continue to do business with The Mail Box.

My husband and I have been using The Mail Box– Marketplace Long Beach for over 2 years.
Four words I think of to describe the owners and staff:
a) Professional
b) Pleasant
c) Friendly
d) Dependable
I am a business woman and I travel in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara area. I am in my car for hours. I know I can stop by and or call upon Robin or Brooke to guide me to when, where my packages and professional correspondence need to go. I also can make copies and get postage stamps quickly and with ease. The store is located near Trader Joes and The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf (PCH and 2^nd street).
In addition, Robin and Brooke have numerous items so one can shop for personal gifts and cards. I guess the fact that I can get all my business at their store would qualify as «one stop shopping».
Their staff is also guarded by a Labrador named «Cooper» — One will find him sitting in their office chair! If only he could type or at least answer the phone… I guess a pat on the head is the best.

A great little postal place in the Marketplace (where I work) behind Jimmy’s fish market. The owner, Robin is really nice, she always knows my name, even when I don’t have my name tag on. They fax, and ship, and copy and have a great selection of cute gift stuff. I had to fax some paperwork yesterday, and it wasn’t going through, so they came into my work to talk to me about it! That’s good service!
