I’m a fan! I had the best Almond Bubble Tea here. I’ve been looking for a local bubble tea place and this is the only one I know of. There’s plenty of parking as it’s right by the train station. There’s outside seating that looks comfortable. I stayed inside in the cool air to enjoy a turkey pesto sandwich. The café smelled so amazing! Chai, spices, freshly baked scones. I wanted to buy a dozen but I’ll save that for my next visit. I definitely recommend checking out this adorable café in downtown Loomis.

The coffee is good when they have any made, attitude is awful, and the surrounding businesses all say the same«there staff is just mean!». And as I have confirmed, this place is loosing business to other places in town(especially the local Starbucks) do to the bad attitude of the staff, uncleanliness outside(same trash on tables outside 3 days in a row), and lack of fresh coffee at 8am in the morning. Stay clear unless you want another place you would never go again in your life. I had high hopes for this cute café, 4 visits later by myself and my girlfriend separately, we are no longer willing to put up with the unapproachable, lazy, and demeaning staff. Loomis deserves better service than this! And as a minimum, coffee in the coffee carafes!

Great staff, comfortable seating both indoor and out. Great selection of coffee and additions. Bathroom facilities are a bit to be desired, do just the 4 ½ stars.

The one star is strictly for location(shared parking lot with a playground, indoor/outdoor seating, central location, railroads and scenery) Otherwise, this was a 100% lackluster experience start to finish. For starters, the pastry display was all entirely wrapped in Saran Wrap, which truly pulls away from the enticement. I know it keeps things fresh, but seeing as it is only 10 am, and I am assuming your pastries are baked in the morning, I can handle them being 2 or 3 hours old. Idk, I’m just saying inviting presentation of foods makes me want to buy. Seeing everything under a blanket of crinkly plastic does not. Then there is the issue of the cashiers(I won’t call them servers or baristas cause they did not serve me nor did they make my drink.) Neither greeted me, and the one that swiped my card looked like her greatest accomplishment ever was the half-assed smile she managed while taking my order. Although, the smile itself looked more like the face you make when you smell something funky. Which is my next issue. I ordered a bagel, toasted with cream cheese and a small coffee. I had to repeat my order, because I guess she didn’t hear me say small coffee… I turned around to decide where to sit. There are two comfy couches, but this morning they were completely blocked by the people sitting at the tables. Maybe that could be remedied by scooting the tables? I decided to sit outside. I sat. After about 5 minutes passed and no attempt was made by either of the two people standing behind the counter(I won’t call them workers, because they weren’t working) to get me my order, I got up and went looking inside. Both standers(that’s the name I will use, since that’s all I witnessed them do) watched as I looked around in confusion, and finally spotted what appeared to be my order sitting sad and alone at a counter space. As I grabbed it, one of the standers asked me if I had wanted my bagel with cream cheese. Yes. «Oh, ok then I need to start over.» I looked and saw my coffee cup was empty. «Our coffee is self serve» the other stander told me, pointing to the selection. So, basically the one job they had(bagel toasted with cream cheese) they screwed up. You had one job. I went back outside, just to test and see if THIS time she would bring the bagel out to me. Nope. Please keep in mind that during my time there, I was the only one actively placing an order. Everyone else was seated & eating/drinking so they were by no means busy… Would it have killed you to bring the order to me? Would it have killed you to say when I was placing my order, «here is your cup Ma’am, the coffee is self serve over there?» Would it have killed you to say«your order is ready miss!» Or anything of the like? At the very least, these two standers need to go to a local café or coffee shop and make it a conscious point to see what it means to provide a service. Also, my bagel was not toasted but rather warmed. And the«business card» cork board is at the point where it is just insulting to the customer. Does anyone expect me to stop and appreciate or even see a business card on a wall that is THAT ridiculously messy? Imagine a bomb went off at a printing shop. That’s what their business cork board looks like. I’m sorry. Just so utterly disappointed.

This use to be the Wild Chicken Café. There are new owner but do not worry… It still has the same great feel. They have an assortment of breakfast treats as well as breakfast sandwiches and burritos. They also serve lunch. I branched out of my normal coffee routine and tried their strawberry green tea. I normally don’t like green tea(it’s good for you so I am trying to like it) but this strawberry great tea us yumo!!! They have a great assortment of drinks and and even ice cream now. This is a great spot for a morning date or to meet Friends and catch up.
