Beverly Chicken

I ordered late night delivery last night and like the other reviews on here it’s either a hit or miss. I ordered the half chicken combo plate and the chicken kebab pita sandwich. First delivery took over an hr but I was prepared for that reading the reviews. The combo plate was fine the sandwich however was just three pieces of chicken kebab wrapped in pita bread with lettuce. That’s it! Hardly worth 6.99! If u have to order from here order something that doesn’t have to be put together like the sandwich because obviously whoever works here late at night just doesn’t give a rats ass lol.

I’ve only eaten here a couple of times, but so far so good.
The chicken is tender, juicy and flavorful. The rice is savory. And that garlic stuff is intensely powerful, so don’t dive head first into that.
I ate in the restaurant once and had them deliver once. With the delivery, they gave me a different version of a couple of minor things I ordered, but it wasn’t something to make a big deal out of.
Overall, really good food and reasonable prices!

Owner and operator is amazing. Food is hands down the most authentic I’ve had in La thus far. Definitely a to try while in the area!

I have no earthly idea why this place has such an average rating, when it is by far deserving of 5 stars. The food itself is wonderful, and the delivery staff I’ve encountered has always been very kind and accommodating. It’s very fresh tasting food, with great portions, and a very affordable price. I’ve never been to the restaurant itself, but if the delivery food is capable of tasting fresh out of the kitchen, and even looking beautiful, I can only imagine how great it is when it is served directly from the kitchen to your plate. I would definitely try this place again, and recommend the same to everyone.

I am, admittedly, a big snob when it comes to falafel. I live in LA but was born in Dearborn, Michigan. I grew up around with the best Middle Eastern food in America right at my doorstep.
So, it’s truly a surprise that the best falafel I’ve ever had is in East Hollywood, at Beverly Chicken. It was tender, aromatic, and delicate, no mean feat for a dish that can easily become a clumsy exercise in frying. Ordering this this was like ordering a Big Mac and getting a Kobe burger. Really outstanding.

3.5 rounded to 4 because it’s great food, and the delivery is usually faster than expected! (I live 3 blocks away but still)
To be honest Ive never had excellent chicken here, so I stay with beef and kafta. The kafta is remarkably good, oddly. Seems really fresh and well cooked.
I also like to get the veggie sampler to get some falafel and grape leaves, mmmMmMM

Their half chicken plate is excellent. Prices are a little higher for other dishes. We ordered wings which were also v v good.
Good food, just ok place to sit. Downside was the restroom. No changing area for babies and pretty shaby bathroom

Yummm their chicken is super good! I used to get combo plate but now i only get the half chicken plate which is only 7.99 without drink n its so worth it!!! The portion is big and the chicken is delicious!

The food at Beverly Chicken is actually not bad, but wow, their delivery service is absolutely awful. This past weekend, I ordered lunch from there using Eat24 and it literally took 3 hours for the food to arrive. I ordered around 1pm and the food didn’t get to me until close to 4pm. So much for lunch! I’m pretty much having dinner now! :(
I ordered the steak cut fries ($ 3.99), the chicken caesar salad ($ 9.99), the combination plate ($ 13.99), and the mexican pizza ($ 10.99). The combination plate and pizza were both pretty good, but the fries were soggy by the time I got them and they gave wayyy too little dressing on the side for the salad. The price point for Beverly Chicken is a bit high in my opinion too, especially for such a small joint.
Bottom line, I would avoid this place if you’re hungry and looking to order delivery. My food should’ve taken an hour at most, but 3 hours is simply ridiculous. They didn’t even try offer some sort of compensation to make up for the excessive delay. That’s just poor customer service, but judging by many of these Unilocal reviews, this seems to happen often, which really deters me from ever ordering from them again.

I implore every Unilocaler to avoid this establishment. Here’s why:
Menu: it’s all over the place. ²⁄₃ of the menu is pizza and pasta and things that would never be found on a mediterranean menu. Sure the shawarma pizza sounds intriguing, but I bet it doesn’t taste good.
Price: No wonder they called themselves Beverly Chicken, since they are definitely charging Beverly Hills prices. $ 14 for my combination plate is way too overpriced, considering it’s just 3 kabobs, pita/​hummus, salad, and a LOT of rice. Basically it was a plate of rice.
Food: the falafel, beef, and chicken kabobs were all average in terms of flavor. None of them stood out, and each bite had to be doused in garlic sauce, green sauce, and tzatziki sauce. The hummus was pretty plain too, despite looking like the best item in the combo plate. My friend got the chicken shawarma wrap, but it literally tasted like a grilled chicken wrap.
Service: let me just say as a precursor that my friend and I came on an empty Tuesday night at 9pm, and we were STARVING, so this may attribute to how negatively we feel about Beverly Chicken. We waited 20 minutes and there was only 1 other customer waiting for a pizza. it felt like ages went by, until finally an older employee asked about our order, and then conveniently found it on the counter sitting idly for god knows how long.
Overall, there’s way better mediterranean choices out there. I’m not even trying to compare this place to Zankou’s or Halal Guys. I’m comparing this place to the other average mediterranean joints I’ve been to, and it still fails.
Just avoid. But if you can’t, there’s about 3 spots available in the small parking lot, so street parking is your best bet. If you want to try your luck like I did, park in the small alley right against the backside of the restaurant. Just don’t park in the Doctor’s reserved spot.

This place has very great food and wonderful customer service. I ordered for delivery to my home (I live very close by) and the food is very delicious. It arrived very quickly.
The food tastes fresh and very flavorful. Their customer service is also very up to par and I have always felt welcomed.
I enjoy this little hole in the wall place and will frequent more often. Very delicious food, great price & wonderful service!

The owners and staff are extremely nice! The food is amazing and it’s right next to a great place to get an oil change for your car?! It doesn’t get any better than that!!!

Good food, amazing and delightful staff from cashiers to delivery drivers, I don’t understand how this place isn’t poppin’ ²⁴⁄₇. If you are a night owl and drive thru is not cutting it, Beverly Chicken will blow your mind. I personally enjoy the shwarmas but these wings they delivered are piping hot, not drowning in sauce and actual wings. (none of that baby chicken wings some places passes off as ONE WING) AND IT COMES WITH FRIES. I was ecstatic. And their garlic aioli and jalapeño sauce should be sold in bottles. Absolutely fantastic. They just topped their awesomeness time and time and I had to stop my feast to put up this review. Disregard this if your tastes are too refined and believe cheap food should be 3 Michelin star quality, because you might be insane.
TLDR; Bomb food, open late, awesome service.

Im giving this place five stars because the food is so delicious, got my hot food, tender meat and flavorful, staff are friendly. Max is so generous and affable he sat with me while I ate my food, my new favorite guy in town! Thanks Max for the generosity.

I order a Chicken Kabob Plate for delivery about two or three times a month. The chicken is very good; however, today I was extremely disappointed by the tiny amount of chicken compared to normal. More than half the skewer was exposed, for both skewers… And there was barely any hummus. I used about a quarter of my pita bread, and I was already out of hummus. And I paid $ 11.99 for this? Plus delivery? Absurd…

If you looking for good mediterranean food, welcome to Beverly chicken. This place has so many choices to choose. I’ve been coming to this place for so long and I love it. I’d tried lamb chops, beef and chicken kafta Kebabs it was so delicious. Highly recommended for good Mediterranean food.

This place is great! It has a really nice family-​run feel, with great, friendly staff!
I had the hummus and it was awesome! Really fresh with just the right amount of seasoning! The warm pita bread was also delicious! I definitely want to go back and try more of their menu! Highly recommend :)
