I live in the building across the street. I’ve never actually been inside Beverly Hookah, and never intend to. There’s always shady looking shit going on there, couples fighting in the street, police being called, and they play their music so loud it sounds like we’re playing it in our own house. My boyfriend asked them to turn it down just a little the other night(2:30 am) and they fought back by turning it up louder. Respect your neighbors and either get some sound proofing or turn it down to manageable decibels.

Hookah is BOMB! Tried out the Mint Flavor & it was very good. Customer service was on point as well! It’s very layback during the week & they have belly dancers and DJs during the weekend. Great time!

This place closed(May 2015) and reopen under new ownership. Khaled is the owner and he’s great, and the hookah is great.

Definitely a bit divided so I’m going to split it into pros vs. cons. Overall it would definitely be worth your time to check it out. Just be sure to ask for a menu. PROS: — Great quality Hookah — Hookah never got harsh — Fun atmosphere for dancing and being goofy — Runs in conjunction with Beverly Chicken. They offer fantastic Lebanese food. — They gave us free tea which was very kind — Very comfortable couches — The regulars are nice people CONS: — Music was too loud. My ears were ringing after I left — Never offered us a menu so we didn’t know what the pricing or menu options were. — Ended up having to pay $ 25+ for Hookah, which leads me to believe we were taken advantage of. Also not a pro or a con, but you can’t bring your food in from Beverly Chicken to the hookah lounge. This is due to a new law that prohibits smoking and eating at the same place.

This place is sucks! Went there on Wednesday. we were only ppl in there. the interior is poor, service is slow(come on, there’s nobody else but us!!) Hookah worth it’s money($ 18), feels like it’s been used for like 20 years. Bad smelling waiter took another star. Well, I won’t come back.

I’ve been to nearly every hookah place in LA and this place takes the cake on quality and service. Make sure to order the specialty hookah flavors, which are absolutely amazing. Added bonus– this establishment is run by the nicest hookah lounge owner in LA

I stopped here tonight and have been pleasantly surprised. The food is reasonably priced and very tasty. The owner Max introduced himself and brought me free baklava. He says he also owns the oil change place next door too. The hookah is fantastic! Overall this is a very authentic experience.

Visted LA from LV, wanted to smoke hookah so we tried this place because we were near by and this place rocks. Nice price and very friendly staffs. Hookah lasts long and tasty. We were the only group at that time but they came to us regularly to check if we were doing ok. Very friendly people and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Five star it is.

Hands down one of the best quality hookah places I’ve been to! First of all, the quality of hookahs is great and it lasts long, at least for an hour. As a frequent hookah smoker I’ve been to many places around LA, and I know how hard it is to find a descent spot. Beverly Hookahs offers great family service for a very reasonable price. Second, I love my hookah to be taken care of, and here the personal literally comes and fixes my hookah every 5 minutes or so! Great, definitely a checkpoint for me. Third, the price. As I said before it’s very descent, from $ 15 to $ 20 dollars. All other spots are like from $ 25 and up, especially in Hollywood. The conclusion. Best hookah place in the area, definitely worth to check out. P. S. It’s my first review on Unilocal and I’m honestly proud to write it for such a nice place like this. Come and see it on your own, you won’t regret. Cheers!

Very quaint quiet hookah bar that’s open during the day, a little pricey but not too bad for the quality I’ve smoked hookah for years now and the shisha here is really good. Looks a little shady from the outside but the inside is pretty nice

I’ve been to all the hookah spots in ktown and I thought I’d give this place a shot I’m glad I did this place is very cool. Different vibe much more middle eastern but it’s very relaxing and customer service is excellent you can tell when an owner really cares for his business and not just the money. Just great!!!

We saw the good reviews this place had so me and my girl decided to give it a try, it was around 9:30pm on a Saturday night. So we got there and the place was pretty much empty there was a group of guys playing cards old guys, I’m 26 my girl is 25 there where some younger guys but the where all middle eastern like everybody else. We sat waited for like 5 min, waiter came left the menu and left waited another 5 min and this guy came out he took our order we decided in a sweet melon hooka since that’s what he said was popular and that was it 20 min past by and nothing it was now 10pm, I don’t know if it was the fact that we weren’t middle eastern or what but we where totally ignored so we left, I was looking forward to try the hooka instead we got treated like nobody’s from my expirience if ur Hispanic avoid this place.

This was my first visit here, and it won’t be my last. I must say I was impressed by the service, at the restaurant portion(Beverly Chicken) the cashier was kind and offered good advice on food. We then moved into Beverly Hookah where we were greeted fast and even given free drinks by the owner. I had the combination plate, and the different types of meat were delicious, my favorite was the kafta kabob. It was tangy, and the chicken was so soft! The service was very attentive and welcoming. The décor is really nice inside and has a cozy feeling to it. Definitely coming back here!

Wife and I just left Beverly Hookah and we can’t stop talking about it. The service is by far the best we have ever experienced. The hookah is the BEST in LA, hands down. The place is super clean and you can tell that they really care about their customers. Hookah pipes are clean and you can taste the flavor that you ordered unlike most hookah spots in town. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy a great hookah and atmosphere. We are so happy that we stopped in and gave this place a try. We’re making Beverly Hookah our hookah spot from this point on! A+++ A Must Go!

I’ve been always coming to Beverly Chicken since the day it opened and when I heard from both the owner and business partner that they were planning on opening up a hookah lounge I just knew I had to come and check it out. From the outside this place doesn’t look like much, just your ordinary restaurant/hookah lounge. They have minimal parking spaces and at times it can get packed, but no worries there’s a ton of street parking in front. Upon arriving, you’re immediately greeted by a young nice Middle eastern man. You’re able to sit anywhere you like, whether it’s inside or outside on the patio. Once entering the lounge I felt as if I was near the Sahara desert, meaning the lounge isn’t set up with designer tables and chairs that look like they were from Ikea or from a high end designer furniture store. The walls clearly had stucco with paintings of the desert and camels. The ceiling had wood beams going across and the lounge was decorated with artworks from Cairo. Going along the walls they had comfy bench seating with comfy pillows. Not to mention the tables were long enough to accompany more than 4 people. The atmosphere is different here than your regular hookah lounge in Koreatown like Boba Bear, AIO, and Antique. They have a dj in the corner playing your typical Middle Eastern and hip pop music, not too loud, not too quiet but just right. They also serve beverages and food from Beverly Chicken. Moving onto the hookah: the price is just right $ 17.99 for hookah. Now before you guys start getting all judgmental and cheap, let me just explain. I’ve been to most hookah lounges in Koreatown, the valley, near the pch, and in the San Bernardino area. I also know most places make you spend a minimum for each member in your group, but here there’s no need for that. The hookah bowl is clearly twice the size of Boba Bear, maybe even triple and if you’ve been you know how tiny those bowls are. Second you pay one price and you’re able to select a flavor from a wide variety of Al Fakher and Starbuzz. Yes if you’re wondering they also have a couple bold line flavors from Starbuzz. You’re able to get fruit bowls(apple, pineapple, orange, etc) for an additional charge, you can also add juice, milk, 7up, other drinks in your base, and can mix flavors for an additional $ 2. I forgot to mention they also use Coco naras that last along time and ash very little. They let you start off your own hookah unlike Boba Bear where a server starts off the hookah without a tip. Yes it’s very unsanitary and I’ve gotten sick there before. Bottom line they use top-notch coals, tobacco, and hookah systems from KM. The hookah draws thick clouds of smoke and can taste the flavors for hours. I definitely recommend this hookah lounge to the average hookah smoker or first time smoker. It’s not like other lounges in Koreatown where you have to pay for valet or pay a minimum for each member in your group. You don’t have to wait long lines to get a table here. You definitely won’t find youngsters smoking here either. You’ll find your middle age men and women playing a game of cards, socializing over a cup of tea and relaxing while smoking hookah. The servers are very attentive here and will check up on you and ask if everything is going well. Bottom line if you’re looking for a new place to smoke hookah or get a bite to eat, this is definitely the place to come and check out!

First of all this place is a week old. We decided to visit it after a terrible time at a friend’s house party nearby. Also because my friends and I had never smoked hookah before; and it really saved the night! At first we were greeted by a young middle Eastern boy who tell us to sit anywhere we want. The place was practically empty when we arrived. After a minute or so the young guy brought us our hookah menus and we started asking questions as it was our first time. He then responded all our questions, and we decided to get the peach flavored hookah. We tried and tried and after a few errors we got the hang of it. The peach flavor was really strong and there it was all the time while we were smoking. While we were chatting and smoking the owner, Max, got to our table with Mediterranean mint teas and introduced himself. He was really friendly, talkative and funny. Max made me and my friends at home. The place ambiance is really cool and Mediterranean/Egyptian. They got cool paintings on the walls and the seating booths were really comfortable. After hours of chatting we got hungry and we walked to the next door to order some off the chain Mediterranean food that we enjoy in the hookah place. They told us both places were as one. Prices are also affordable. So if you’re around the area and like smoking hookah or want to try hookah for the first time this is the place to go. To be honest with you all I really didn’t like smoking hookah myself ’cause I’ve got dizzy after a few minutes of smoking it, but I will sure accompany my friends if they want to come again. I had a great time here, and I hope Max gets their customers and regulars soon ’cause it is such a nice and comfortable place.
