Daily happy 2 till 8 w half off food AND drankkkks! wooohoo!!! But, as is life. not everything was perfection, parking was a lil icky. valet is cheap, if you’re into that(does anybody else feel like having someone else park your car is like asking a stranger pull down your pants so you can tinkle? The idea of it totally gives me the jeeeeebies). I’m not so I had to drive around forevaaaaa but at least it was after hours so free on the street. This place offers up the same extensive list of offerings as most ktown bars in the same dark, loud-ish setting but ya get to sit in these cute lil semi-private cubbies! WHo doesn’t wanna sit in a cubby?! Made me feel like a giant sitting, esp after a bit of soju hahaa HOt tip: don’t be like me and drink too much that you end up staring at the graffiti décor on the walls too long… sooooo long, in fact, that you notice a phone number and think it’s a good idea to call it. lol. don’t do it. seriously. Really friendly service and they come out to make this FREE fluffy egg omelet app thing table side. Cool!

Happy hour Fridays will most likely be spent here! Half off on food and drink! Definitely have to try it out a couple more times though cause although the Surf and Turf platter was delicious, something in it had a weird plastic taste. I hope the galbijjim next week will win me over… the half off soju already did.

The homies and I came here for some drinks, and ended up eating as well. It is pretty tiny in here and packed like crazy, but service was great and friendly. We ordered some cass beer, soju, cheese corn, fried gizzard, grilled gizzard, and some scrambled eggs. They even threw in a free bottle or entrée for us, I forgot what we got, either soju or food. I think my friends and I all agreed that we ordered the wrong chicken gizzards the first time around, it was way too battered in tampura, but it went well with the tabasco sauce it came with. But we corrected ourselves with the grilled gizzards, which hard some roasted jalapeño and garlic as this dish was delicious, especially when paired with beer. Overall, great food, and awesome service.

One of THE best happy hours in town! 6pm — 8pm everyday, 50% off your entire bill! This is your traditional Korean pub so they only have 2 or 3 Korean beers, but a huge variety of soju flavors, as well as your makguhlee(rice wine). Food is great and the portions are better. My go-to is always their rabbokgi(spicy rice cakes with ramen noodles, if you can handle heat!) paired with any of their chicken dishes. They’ve got an extensive menu so it’s a good place for an actual dinner instead of your typical bar food.

50% off EVERYTHING happy hour until 8PM. Unlimited lemons and huge portions of food has made this my go to Korean bar the last few weeks. Love that they don’t blast kpop at deafening volumes so you can actually hold conversations with friends.

My new favorite spot. 50% off Happy Hour until 8PM. :o Not only that, the service is good, and the food is great! The atmosphere is nice too, a comfy Korean dive bar feel. Will definitely be back.

It might be difficult coming here without a Korean or knowing Korean because there isn’t an English menu. You could get by with pointing to Unilocal photos but you might miss out on the good service. I liked everything we got: popcorn chicken with fries, corn cheese(made with melted cheese and not cream), seaweed rice balls, ramen and rice cakes in spicy sauce, and complimentary omelette with cheese. Good flavors, nothing was greasy, and food tasted freshly made. Our waitress seemed friendly even though I had no idea what she was saying(she interacted with the Koreans in our group). If it’s your birthday, they play some super loud alternative-to-the-traditional-birthday-song birthday song.

We needed to go drinking at 2pm and remembered that GoPocha was open. Off we go!!! I know what youre thinking… who drinks that early? We had brunch with a group of 10 girls and we just kept bar hopping for some reason. The great thing about Gopocha is that the parking lot is big, and free, it has sports playing, and they have a very long happy hour.

Not bad! Typical Korean lounge/restaurant with food and dranks, except I only came for the food. The ambiance is kind of like toe bang. Like all places in ktown, there is only valet. I’m not sure how much it was because I walked from my aunt’s place. Service was good, they were really nice. It was our first time and they recommended us different things on the menu. We didn’t order any drinks, but the food we ordered was yummmyyy! We ordered the surf and turf which consists of rice, eggs, spicy pork, and a mix of seafood. You eat whatever you want and they cook fried rice with the left overs! We thought they were going to make the fried rice with whatever rice and egg we had left, BUT they bought more rice and more eggs to cook with. They cook right at your table because the tray is on top of a portable stove. It is ALOT of food. It can easily feed 4 people, especially with the rice after, and its only $ 20ish dollars! We also ordered the popcorn chicken, which looked a little weird. but very tasty. Came with fries and different sauces. And you can’t forget about the complimentary egg dish that they give you when you order food! It’s also cooked at your table on a hot plate. I would definitely come back for these two dishes, but I’d also be interested in tasting other things on the menu. +Casual place to eat and drink –Small parking lot +Valet

I only went there because I was meeting some friends there. I was there on a Saturday night. It was a very young crowd and I was clearly out of place age-wise. Nobody over 25 was in there. A friend said at different times of day, it has different crowds. Also, it’s in the heart of Korea Town, so if you don’t speak Korean or have someone with you who does, you might have a hard time ordering food and drink here. Luckily, we had that part well covered with my friends. I thought it was a cool place… kinda’ funky divey feel but in a good way. There are tree bare trees as part of the décor. My friends said it’s «very Korean.» Whatever it is, I love it. We just had appetizers, and they were delicious. I didn’t do the ordering, but as you can see from the pic, they were enjoyed by all. The barley house tea was really good too. Loved the tin pot and tin cups they use. Should have taken of pic of that. Sorry. Service was good and staff was cheerful. I saw all kinds of good looking food at other people’s tables on my way out. especially some kind of ice watermelon dish that I would have ordered for myself had I seen it earlier. Parking is valet at night. You might be able to find street parking. I emphasize, might. I want to give this place another try sometime. I’ve got to try that ice watermelon thing.

Pretty good happy hour. You really can’t beat 50% off everything, I think, including drinks. The food here is pretty good, if you know what to order. If you don’t know, just ask the wait staff for recommendation. They are usually really good about what’s good on that day. And their menu is quite extensive, so you’ll probably find something you like. I personally liked their sautéed pork belly and sautéed soondae, but those two combined made my breath stink for almost two days. :) I think I’ll try to mix things up next time and not get those two together again. I really like their free egg custard/scramble. It’s seemingly really simple but it’s just fun to see it made at the table. And it’s free!

already opens late(4pm), but the worker comes in even later than that to open. doesn’t answer the phone so reservations are impossible(we called over 20 times). yells at me to go someplace else because he says that he doesn’t want to serve 15 people when the restaurant is EMPTY(i know this because we were waiting outside for them to open). lies to me and says that their kitchen is «broken»(yet welcomes 2 bystanders in) then shuts the door on me because i asked, «who runs a business like this». any other place in ktown would be happy to take our business due to umpteen bars on every street. but this review is for the lousy male who miserably opened late and rejected $ on May 17th. he was so extreme, what did i ever do to him :(

Haven’t been drinking in K-Town for ages~ Finally got a chance to come out and party like I was 18 again with my friends!(lol) Someone from our group suggested to come here. Came on a Saturday night and as soon as we pulled up into the parking lot, there’s valet($ 2). Pretty typical for K-Town valet pricing. (Otherwise, look for street parking!) Went inside and got seating immediately in the back room. I like this room for big groups because it was segregated a bit and much quieter and private. Some menus are in all Korean, so if you’re not Korean ask em for the one with the English translations! We got a few beers and sojus to start the night and ordered a few dishes. Everything was so delicious!!! I love cheese and, man, they have a lot of dishes with cheese in them.(See pics) The theme is pretty cool. They have nice huge TVs to watch the games and when there’s no games on they’re playing Korean music. HAPPYHOURFROM2pm-8pm EVERYDAY!!! …I came to this place twice in 2 days lol and I will surely be back again!!!

Happy hour from 2−8pm! 50% all food and drinks!!! Best deal in Koreatown! NOTE: to get the happy hour deal, your party must order alcohol. We got a bottle of Cass for a party of 7 and that was enough! We tried: cheese corn, popcorn chicken and fries, chicken wings, army stew pot, seafood pancake, kimchap, and a few other things!(See pictures!!) Everything was amazing so I have no complaints. Price: $ 82 including tax and tip split between 7 people! It was a great deal!

Partying in korea town is a totally unique experience because of the combination of good food and cheap drinks. Like other food and drink places in ktown, your alcohol selection is limited to basically beer and soju. Here is a list of food dishes I have had. Cheese corn– this dish is a staple for my group of friends. At $ 10, it may seem pricey because you literally order a hotplate of corn toppes with cheese. But after a few drinks, cheese corn really hits the spot. The dish is not extraordinary in comparison with cheese corn from other places, but it is difficult to mess this up. Assorted meat and vegetable soup– this is a pot of food that consists of veggies, spam, hotdog, rice cake, and instant noodle cooked in a spicy broth. It is very easy to share, and is perfect during the cold winter. Seafood pancake– do not underestimate the size of this pancake. Go pocha does a fantastic job, and fills the pancake with octopus and various veggies. Again, this dish is easy to share and great to pair with drinks. Chicken wings– korean chicken wings is a big deal, and the ones here are among the best I have ever had. The crispy outside and steamy/hot inside dipped in chilli sauce is the combination of a great wing. Popcorn chicken– this dish was not special, but it does come with a mountain of fries. The portion is also large.

October 4, 2014 Dragged out by my sister after my break up, my sister called me to go out for her early birthday dinner event here in KTown. Happy hour until 9:00pm where everything is 50% off with purchase of alcoholic beverages. First off, if you don’t speak or read Korean, let them know and they will give you the English menu. You are served with a free appetizer: omelet cooked right in front of you. Deeeeeelish! There are flat screen televisions everywhere and music blasting. Pretty nice for drinking and hanging out with peers. On to the food: I ordered my Fish Cake Soup and that was really filling. Sissy ordered spicy pork ribs and popcorn chicken with fries. So much food! Service is good if you have friends who speak Korean and/or are Korean. I spent most of my time watching the Dodger game that JUSTENDED. Dodger Victory over Cardinals 3:2 whooooo! Next up: Lock and Key!
