I’m so bummed! A friend from out of town and I were walking by last night around 9:30pm, and I decided to finally try their frozen custard. When I asked about the flavor of the day, I was given the nastiest look and an impatient sounding response. I’m sorry, but if you are going to have an ambiguously named third flavor every day, don’t be irritated when people ask what it is. The woman’s attitude was so rude that I asked my friend if I’d done or said something offensive(I literally just smiled and asked about ice cream flavors). I was told that my to-go order(one cup of frozen custard) would be ready in «five or six minutes.» Well, 15 minutes later it still wasn’t ready and neither of the women working there would make eye contact with us. As one of them rushed past our table for the millionth time without acknowledging us at all, we asked about it and she paused, clearly having forgotten about the order, and just said«Oh.Yeah I’m making it right now.» At least ten minutes later, we asked about it again, and finally got what we ordered, with nothing more than a quick«Sorry.» I almost just got up and left without it… I went there so excited to spontaneously try a new place, and left wanting never to come back. The dessert was decent, not great, and certainly not worth $ 6.50. Maybe I would have liked it more, had the service been remotely better. I’ve worked my share of customer service jobs and totally understand that it can be exhausting and frustrating work, but that doesn’t excuse this kind of behavior toward anyone. My pal visiting from out of state said it was the worst service he had ever experienced. Two stars because the patio is actually a beautiful place to hang out while waiting 30 minutes for one scoop of glorified ice cream.

Caroline is the best! She took our order with a smile and answered all of our questions along with our request for«big ass fries.» Burgers are awesome as well my personal favorite is the habanero.

Stumble across this place after a Dodgers game. Very cozy and warm outdoor patio in trendy not overpriced portion of LA. Looks to be a great hipster spot with rustic style bench and aluminum tables. The burger was great I ordered the habanero burger and it was cooked to order medium rare and the fries had a garlic butter dipping sauce. Perfect pairing with a beer on a hot summers day. Alcohol served here and parking is free. Great local find.

Pretty solid burger with a nice outdoor area for eating which doubles as a beer garden. I thought the quality of the beef was great, especially considering the fairly reasonable prices($ 5-$ 8) which maybe says something about what I’ve been conditioned into finding reasonable. Solid fries as well.

MAAANE!!! Someone please name a place with an open air patio, DOGFRIENDLY, cheap and delicious food, beer and wine selection, on a street where people watching/conversation overhearing is bound to amuse you and make your day– oh that’s right, HACHE. Right on the silver lake/sunset junction, this place has everything! With the LA weather, why not sit outside with your cute pup, a cold brew, and good burger? Wish I found this place earlier. They have a tv as well– ask them to change it to your desires, and they’re cool about it! 5 stars for the prices + 5 stars for the freshness of ingredients of their food. Their fries though– oh my goodness. Thick potato pieces with delicious seasoning, oh goodness, if you don’t get a burger, at least try their fries. Perfection. Take your dates here, it’s on a super walkable street.

2.5 stars. I ordered the habanero burger and the triple cooked fries. the burger was meh. It had a small kick to it but nothing close to warranting a name with habanero in it. The meat was dry and bland and the only time I tasted any saltiness was when I got a good chunk of queso fresco in the bite. The best part of the meal was the fries. Although they were a little bland as well, the accompanying garlic aioli made it better. There’s way better options for a good burger… I probably won’t go back

Attractive at first, but that changed quickly. I noticed most of the people seated didn’t have any food served and began to worry. I had to wait almost an hour for my order; the longest I’ve ever had to wait for a simple burger and fried to go. The worst thing is that when I ordered and when I waited, the girls on duty had the worst attitude, giving me ugly looks and I’d never even met them. Zero interest in returning, food wasn’t worth any of it.

Unseasoned and overcooked. The fries, to be fair, are great, especially with their garlic mayo. And the patio is nice. In a city full of burger options, it’s not worth the time, money, or calories quite frankly. Meh.

Definitely a five star. Big portions for both me and my boyfriend. Fries were so fresh with the garlic butter? Dip. Strawberry lemonade was, yes The Famous, very good. Mojito iced tea was refreshing but missing a bit of flavor. But overall a five-star. Good food. Good vibe.

tl;dr: Same as Mick’s Karma Bar in OC. Good food, casual patio, comfortable vibe. Free parking is great… **** Gesundheit… I’m sure you know by now that this is the younger sibling to Mick’s Karma Bar in OC, kinda like the Prince Harry to Prince William. Menu is the same but the ambiance is much looser here than at the ground floor of a business park building. There is a mostly covered patio that can hold 4 to 5 times the number of people that the OC location can. What’s really nice about this location is that they have their own parking lot which makes it much more convenient especially around this area of Sunset. Knowing this makes it easy not to dismiss them as an eating destination out of hand… They have a stalwart simple menu that is mostly reliant on using good ingredients and having better than average execution. To this end, the standard Karma Burger is a good choice that is not over or under embellished and goes down well with their famous triple cooked fries and fresh basil lemonade. I particularly like the sturdy bun that they use, it does a good job holding the burger together all the way till the end… Not sure if I would come to these parts just to have a burger but it’s also nice to know that I can if I wanted to…

What a great burger! I mean it was really good! It tasted incredibly fresh, and the toppings were portion perfectly. You actually got tomatoes and vegetables on your burger instead of a single leaf of lettuce. And the meat was of high quality too! The outdoor area is also really nice! The lights are perfect, and it’s best to come here in the early evening Into the night. The beers are also pretty interesting, and local. And the service is a little slow, but they also make everything from scratch so it’s pretty great. I don’t even like fries, and I ate there giant basket of fries. I mean we are talking monstrous year, and it’s only about 3:50! And whether this place is great, would totally come back again

Food here is decent. If only the employees could give more attention to their customers, I would give this place 5 stars. I came to this place for the appeal of drinking sangria on their nice and open patio but unfortunately they were out of it. I then asked for a Pilsner, which they were out of as well. I put in my food order for two burgers, fries, and a beer… 25 minutes later, only two hamburgers came out. Forgotten were the other items. When I confronted the employee about the missing fries and beer, there was no apology or concern. She then said I could get up and stand in line again to be rung up for an additional transaction. Overall, 3 separate let downs in one food sitting is beyond disappointing in a city that offers so many other options. If you’re going to own and operate a burger joint in the city of Los Angeles, you should constantly be delivering fresh service on top of tasty food.

Another awesome experience at Hache! That strawberry basil lemonade is still my jam but this time, I got to try several other items, including the Mediterranean veggie burger. I absolutely love meat so I wasn’t sure about this one but I thought it was great. The 12 ingredient veggie patty was soft in the inside and had such great flavor. Add the spicy hummus, roasted red peppers and feta cheese and it really was an awesome burger. I definitely did not feel like I was missing the meat! FYI: They also have gluten-free buns!

I’m a HUGE fan of this place, and I’m pretty sure it’s going to become my go-to burger spot for those days when I want a step up from In-N-Out. If you’ve seen the pictures, this place is super cute. It’s all outdoor seating at wood-clad picnic benches and tall, bar-like tables and counters. The food itself is a step above average. It’s not blow-your-mind kinda good, but it’s still good. The burgers are creative, the triple baked fries are reminiscent of Five Guys’ fries, and best of all, the prices aren’t obscene. Everything is kicked up a notch with touches like aioli mayo for the fries and fun drinks like strawberry basil lemonade and mojito iced tea. And bonus: they have gluten free buns(that are actually edible) and my super sensitive celiac stomach was reaction-free! Definitely come here when you’re looking for a casual, different burger spot. With prices half that of competitors like The Counter, I’ll be back here for another gluten free burger and some strawberry basil lemonade super soon!

That’s the last time they get my money! They are like a one hit wonder. Btw, they need to empty their trash cans and clean up inside. Its not all out the outside where your customers are. It’s no wonder they don’t want people to come inside to order. I’m sure they’ll use ‘we are remodeling’. Looks VERY unsanitary. Be warned! I’m sure they get most of their customers the ones who like to drink alcohol. It would take alcohol for someone to think its ok to eat there. I hope their visit is a fast one to make room for something worthwhile in Silverlake!

Good place to hang out for a burger and see a bit of sports with friends. Burgers are surprisingly cheap and plenty decent(good but lacking in awesome), the fries as well as the guac and chips are both very tasty but a bit salty. Massive plus, they have parking, and the beer selection ain’t bad. If you have a big group go early, by 8pm they get busy.

I used to frequent Mick’s in Irvine when I used to live in OC. I was excited to know that I could have karma burger even in LA. I always order karma burger combo with strawberry basil lemonade and garlic mayo on the side. My experience was pretty good a few times, but it seems like the quality declined when I went last time. Fries were not good and strawberry basil drink was a but off than usual. I would probably give this place one more chance in the near future before I give up on it entirely. Hope it can be as good as Mick’s in Irvine next time. The food comes out pretty slowly(at least this part is consistent with Mick’s in Irvine).

there’s really not much to choose from here. The menu is so clutters w all these list of things. And I really couldn’t choose anything because nothing was well described. Inside walk in where you order is pretty small but the outdoor patio is all nice. Staff was all pretty nice and friendly(and really cute) asked me if I had any questions in which I had a lot of considering how poorly they set up their menu board. Food overall was okay as well burger wasn’t all that great I had a karma burger. very BLAND. the fries as well. Beef was a bit more on the dry side than I liked. Would love a better menu description and a little bit more flavor in their burgers along with a bigger variety and I’d give this place 5 stars

Just gave this place one too many chances. I got the veggie burger for the second or third time. It’s not very good. In fact, I couldn’t finish it because I bit into the burger and it tasted like something had gone bad. Maybe it was the tomato slices? Not sure, but ew, it literally tasted like trash. Plus, it’s more than I feel worth paying for a good veggie burger(approx 14 bucks with fries), let alone an unsatisfying veggie burger, let alone a veggie burger that tastes like spoiled food. Oh yeah, they did something that’s a huge pet peeve of mine: They attached the carbon receipt DIRECTLY to the top of my burger by driving a popsicle stick through it. Call me crazy, but I personally don’t want carcinogenic chemicals contaminating my food. FYI, here’s a Huffington Post article about how receipt paper is toxic/can cause endocrine cancer: The people here are nice, and the atmosphere is cool. But… it’s just not good. Can’t wait until The Fix Burger reopens. A gaping chasm of quality lies between the two. I shan’t be returning.

First time i came here was about 5 months ago and i have been dreaming of it ever since! I live about an hour away, but to me it is so worth the drive! Really low-key burger joint. I tried the Karma Burger and shared a basket of triple cooked french-fries. Dipping the fries in horseradish was delicious and the burger was just like my uncle used to make during our summer barbecues. We went on a very cool Los Angeles evening, but they have heaters throughout the patio so it was comfortable. Parking was pretty easy too because they have a fairly large attached lot. I’ll be back.

Best. Fries. Ever. Bottomless mimosas on sat and sun from 11:30 — 4:30 = $ 20. You SOMETIMES have to get up and get your own refill on the mimosa but who cares, you’re getting steps! Got the jalapeño burger, it was too spicy for me but this guy I was with really liked his. I’ll try a different one next time.

A friend and I split the KARMABURGER with an egg added. Solid, but I prefer a juicier burger. The MICK’S TRIPLECOOKEDFRIES are great! The outdoor patio is large. You definitely can’t tell that from the outside. Anyways, Haché is a great place to hang out with friends. There’s frozen custard!

Great atmosphere and prices. Burger was moist and tasty — but not extraordinary. I’m not expecting that for $ 6. Fries good and beer cold. Should be four stars. Migrating down to three stars. I’m just fed up with the kitchens of SOSOSO many restaurants unable to make entrees without mayonnaise/aioli/similar despite clear repeated and emphatic requests. This isn’t hard.

I ordered a Swiss Onion Burger combo, which came with fries and Strawberry Basil Lemonade. Total cost(before tax) for this meal was $ 10.70. The food and drink were satisfactory, but not spectacular — they left something to be desired. The burger and fries were admittedly somewhat on the bland side, and I would have liked the lemonade to be sweeter. Most of the staff here seems pretty cool. Parking is available on both the curb and adjacent lot. Customer seating is wooden and conspicuously uncomfortable. The restroom could be more hygienic, but it was not *too* scary. Not too bad overall, but as far as Silverlake burger joints go, I’d rather dine at The Fix.

I will say I didn’t know what to expect, when you see a burger place on Unilocal and all the reviews are talking about the lemonade and the fries — was a bit skeptical. I freaking love burgers, so admittedly my standards may be a bit high. I also am a bit particular in how I take them — so again, will review but doing so by framing for you what I normally look for in a decent burger. Let’s start with the bun. Borderline ruined it for me, while I love that the burger to meat ratio is amazing(its not too flat, not too big) but the bread they do use is a bit dry. The meat — good. While I appreciated the flavor, there was a bit of dryness there too. The flavors — I tend to take mine a bit simpler(straight up backyard burger not too much shit on it — usually how I like em). Got the Habanero burger and oh my god the heat SOGOOD. Just enough stuff on top — nothing running off the burger onto your hands, and not too big to fit into your mouth(shame on you if you just laughed there). The fries — meh. Mine were a bit floppy. Weirdly enough the thing I probably liked the most — their garlic aioli. I fucking HATE mayo, but oh my GOD — I got this on the side and ended up dipping EVERYTHING in it. Will probably go back because they have their own parking lot(the area this place is in is HELLISH for parking). Cute back area to sit al fresco and have a beer. Higher hopes for round 2.

When you first walk into the store it doesn’t seem very impressive at all – in fact, it seems a little janky because right at the door is the kitchen area and the first thing you see as you step inside is the cashier. However, as you walk inside the dining area you’ll be surprised by the beautiful Christmas-light thingys hanging everywhere, giving this place a chilled vibe. This place has tables of all sorts of sizes and thus would be perfect for a nice little date and/or gathering with bigger groups of friends. F O O D: Hache LA sells burgers along with sides and drinks. You can order a la carte or get their combo which comes with a burger, a side(half portioned), and a drink(either their homemade or prepackaged ones). My friend and I got the Karma Burger, the Roaring Forties Burger, and shared a full portion of the Triple-Cooked Fried Fries with Garlic Dipping Sauce. The cashier told us that she recommends spicy lovers to try the Habanero Burger. The burger was pretty good – I loved the bun and I thought the patty was good but could be a little thicker and juicier. The fries were delicious!!! I personally like my fries on the crunchier side and Hache LA does it just the way I love. Paired with the garlic dipping sauce… oh my goodness. P A R K I N G: Parking around the silverlake area is always the biggest struggle, but I’m so so so glad Hache LA has their own private parking lot, making life so much easier. Thank you!

Mick’s finally left OC and came to LA… and it still isn’t all that great. I ordered the veggie burger because I have never liked the patties at Mick’s and the veggie patty was just not that good. It took forever to make, came out cold, and it just fell apart as I was eating it. Also, I personally think the buns they use at Micks/Hache are just not good. Honestly the only things that are worth ordering here are the fries and the lemonade which are both 10⁄10

Hache LA is a great date spot in this area of LA. Hache LA has a great ambiance and a great little patio to enjoy your food. They have a small menu of five burgers to choose from. You can also add on bacon, avocado, egg, caramelized onions or Portobello mushrooms to any burger. //FOOD // Habanero burger: 4 different chilis, garlic mayo, and queso fresco. The burger was average in size, but it packed a nice little kick to it. The burger wasn’t as spicy as I thought it was going to be, but it had a good flavor to it. I was surprised when they didn’t ask how we wanted to the burger to be cooked. Triple cooked fries: The fries were thick cut, but they weren’t as crispy as I thought they were going to be. The garlic aioli that they served with the fries was amazing though! That aioli should be included on every burger that they have since it was just that good! We rounded out the food with an Arnold Palmer and the strawberry basil lemonade, both of which were good. I would come back here again to try a different burger. The garlic aioli is a must and the drinks are good too. It’s a great burger spot around this area since the only other burger spot that I know of in the area is Umami Burger.

If you’re a fan of Mick’s Karma Bar(Irvine) and amazing fries in general, you’ll love this place. Thank you, Haché LA, for making your way to Silver Lake. I came here mid-afternoon because I was craving lemonade after exploring some of Silverlake’s hidden stairs. I had their Strawberry Basil Lemonade aka The Famous and couldn’t resist getting their Triple Cooked Fries as well because my sister was raving about them. The fries come with this tangy aoili sauce and it is spectacular. Extra points go to Haché because of their outdoor patio seating, which means I get to take my dog!

This is a small, hole-in-the-wall burger joint on busy Sunset Blvd. You order at the counter, pay, and take a seat at one of the few outdoor tables. Your order will be brought to you when ready. It took about 10 – 15 minutes to make. There is a small ‘bar’ where you can add a few condiments to your order. They also have complimentary water. The staff is quite friendly and have genuine concern about making sure you are enjoying your food. The burgers($ 6.95) were not the largest or best burgers in LA, but they were quite juicy without being overly greasy. The ingredients are fresh and interesting. The triple cooked fries($ 3.95) are very crispy and they are served with a very garlicky aioli — delicious. It reminded me of the garlic sauce that is served at Zankou Chicken. parking — there is a tiny, free adjoining lot with very few spaces dedicated for Hache patrons, metered or limited, free street parking

Kris and I had some time to kill in Silverlake before I had to work later in the evening. We decided to meet up and grab lunch, and with no discernible place in mind I turned to the Unilocal app to guide me. Hache LA popped up near the top of the filtered review for«lunch spots». At the time they had 4 stars and had just hit their 200th review. Their pictures looked delicious, and as other Unilocalers had noted they have an on-site parking lot — as many of us know parking is a premium within this neighborhood and the convenience factor and mostly positive reviews were a deciding factor of our decision. As soon as we entered we were greeted by the female cashier who was very friendly. She gave us time to select our order(1 Karma Burger with bacon upgrade, 1 The Habanero, 1 order of triple cooked fries to share, 1 Boont Amber Ale, and an IPA). She told us to take a seat in the covered outdoor patio and that she would bring our order out when it was ready. The patio area was really pretty, the kind of place that you could relax for hours and sip a cold beer in. It was covered and also had a small fan which provided a refreshing breeze on the very hot day. They had a mixture of half-booth regular height tables as well as higher tables and stools. The condiment bar was off to the side and featured ketchup, salt, pepper, malt vinegar, spicy sauces as well as complementary fresh orange infused water. Our order was soon delivered to our table and the presentation was very nice. We snapped a few pictures before we dug in. Kris wolfed down his Karma burger and I heard a few«oh wows» adjoining each bite. My Habanero burger was delicious — super spicy(which I love!), but manageable. The queso fresco really helped ease the kick of the spicy peppers. The triple cooked fries were also delicious, and nicely accompanied by some of the best garlic aioli that I’ve ever tasted(rich, creamy and extra thick — also as a side note the garlic aioli was a *fantastic* addition to my Habanero burger!). At one point I was debating ordering a second order of fries, but Kris and I decided to try their homemade frozen custard instead and I’m glad we made that decision because ordering both would have been extremely gluttonous. There were several different types of frozen custard to choose from(Vanilla, Banana Fosters, Apple Pie, Cookie Butter, and Strawberry Cheesecake). I decided to try the strawberry cheesecake and Kris wanted the apple pie. It took approximately ten minutes for our custards to arrive but as I went in to order a second round of drinks I noticed this was because the register girl was meticulously preparing both from scratch. Both custards were amazing — thick, rich, creamy, and accompanied by 2 full size graham crackers. One custard would be the perfect size for 2 or 3 people to share(that is if you can all agree on one flavor)! Overall Kris and I really enjoyed our meal at Hache, the food was excellent quality and the prices were very reasonable given the neighborhood. We are both very excited to revisit Silverlake and Hache again soon(and we’ve already decided that we’re going to try the Cookie Butter custard next time!)

Been wanting to try this for some time! I met some fellow Unilocalers at an event and when I asked them what their favorite burger spot in LA was, well now I’m here. I love that they have a few parking spots in their parking lot that that they share with the church next door. I live the outdoor patio area lit up like it’s one of my girlfriends backyard BBQ’s. Summer nights, bug groups and romantic dates just perfect for this place! The burgers are about $ 8 without the extras. Fries are tasty but not enough, the girl at the counter recommended them for sharing, but girl I eat and it wasn’t shareable! Good tasty burger, but the patty was on the thinner side. I could have easily eaten two, but if you want to just try it for the sake of it and you don’t have the biggest appetite, go for it! ¡buen provecho!

«Did you see that kid? He was maybe 10 and he ate a THIRD of his burger… And they THREWITAWAY!!» my girlfriend said leaving Hache. «I hate that kid…» She trailed off. Despite splitting $ 10 worth of food, she was full and so was that child evidently, but she still didn’t want it wasted. She wanted to eat his food. I guess that’s the sign of a good burger. I honestly have no reason not to give Hache five stars. For fast casual prices, you get to eat delicious burgers in a place that’s much more interesting than hanging out in a Five Guys. They have drinks, they have their own parking lot(good for this side of town), they have a little patio and that’s about it. I had been thinking about Shake Shack recently and before anyone freaks out I’m not going to say this is better or worse because I’m a lover of burgers but just that this burger kind of reminded me of it. A simple, tender, classic burger at about the same price point. That said, once you factor in the flight it would take for me to get to the nearest Shake Shack, this is probably cheaper… The fries however are better. Instead of the rather lazy crinkle fries, here we have the triple cooked you know straight from the potato variety and they are freaking delicious. Hache a nice casual neighborhood place where for about 10 bucks you can get yourself a really good burger, some fries and yea that’s about it.
