Good place to eat on the late night. Korean food is awesome and the prices quite reasonable. Keep your problems at the door as I was upset to see our waitress harassed by obnoxious patrons obviously coming in from drinking too much. Recommend

I come here at least once a week to eat some of my hometown food. I first came here to eat Sul lung tang, and they were super affordable 5.99. Wow for a filling, healthy meal, 5.99. After the first time, I continued to come here to try different dishes. Most dishes here are super affordable. When I eat here, I feel at home. It’s small and looks like it’s been here forever. I never go places without make up but I come here with my sweats and no make up on. I also tried the bibimbab, Kimchi jjigae, Kong Namul gook, gamja tang, donkatsu, and more. They were all above average. Delicious and homey food!

Open 24 hrs. Cheap Korean comfort food that’s better than mcd or fast food. Big Mac combo = $ 6.xx OR ox tail bone soup with rice and beef and bunch of side dishes = 4.99+tax and tip.

Pretty good beef rib soup for not too expensive. Two beef ribs in the soup, but a lot of soup and the usual korean side dishes

I love this slightly bigger than hole in a wall Korean restaurant. Honestly, I have bookmarked this place for quite a long time and finally got to try it. If I have a Korean mom, this would be the place I can see myself eating delicious food in mom’s kitchen. They got so many variety of different Korean dishes that you can possibly think of. What I like was that they even got pictures of every dish available on the menu pasted on the wall to your right when you first walked into the place. The only downside was that all the dishes names were in Korean. We did received a laminated menu that has English menu of the dishes. Everything was so affordable and delicious. I got a Sul Lang Tang for $ 5 and the soup was bland but they give you Korean spice to add in to customize to the level of perfect flavor you want. We paid about $ 15 total for the two of us. The best thing about this place I found out was it opened for 24 hrs. Parking is available in the tiny lot in front of the restaurant. So, you may have to do street parking if the spaces are no longer available. I will definitely be back to try many other dishes.

It’s impossible to find a Korean restaurant that serves soybean sprout soup. I really like it because my mom makes it. There used to be a restaurants on Western across from the Koreatown Plaza where BCD is that served soybean sprout soup for $ 4(It cost a couple more bucks if you did take out). Unfortunately they went out of business a long time ago. So when I saw that this place had it, I figured I should give it a try. It’s actually kimchee soybean sprout soup, but it’s similar and it tasted good. I guess you can only get it at Mom’s!

I’m not a fan of this place. It looks run down and they butchered the kimchi fried rice, which is such a basic dish. It’s cheap, similarly priced to food courts, but the quality of the food is way worse.

Been coming here for years after a Korean friend of mine brought me here years ago. I love this place. The Yukkaejang is my favorite. There are plenty of 24hr Korean places around here but Mom’s is my favorite.

24 Hours Delivery for good home style cooked Korean food gets an A+ for me. On those nights you stay in or early mornings when you need a good broth or jjjigae to hold it down for you~ call Moms House. I usually order the kimchi jjigae with extra rice cake() and it hits the spot. Just ordered it right now as a matter of fact. The lady who works there is so sweet on the phone. I asked for extra side dishes and they hooked it up! (Yes we are hungry over here!) Keep in mind– Moms House is a hole in the wall staple for late night munchin in Koreatown. This won’t be anything top notch that will mind blow your foodie palate~ but it wiLL give you that comforting feeling that you’re eating at mom’s.

The biggest appeal is that its 24 hours so its a good place for late night cravings. Some dishes are much more expensive than at other places like some of the meat dishes are $ 15 – 16 while itd be $ 7 – 8 at other places. But then some dishes like the suhlungtang is much cheaper, $ 4 so it evens out. The food isnt spectacular but good enough especially when choices are pretty limited past 2am.

Oh mama, you treat a girl right after two bottles of wine… but eating spicy food right before I commence pass out stage is probably not the smartest idea I’ve ever had, but I wouldn’t take it back for the world. 24 hours, cheap, fast service hot, good food and a pretty awesome banchan, that we got a nice few rounds of(i’m a bit of a freak for kimchi). We got a ramen dish too, and although you totally know its packaged as all hell, they jazz it up and it still hits the spot. 2 drunkies feasted for about 20 $ total, I would say thats a win, plus, not a far stumble back to my apartment.

I swung in at around 6am & picked up an order of Kimchi Fried Rice to go. It was amazing! It’s a little hole in the wall place, almost everything is written in Korean. They’ve got a couple of English menus, but most of the menu is plastered on the walls in Korean. Very friendly old lady helped me & threw in some soup when my food was ready. They are open 24/7, which is a HUGE bonus!

Although the taste of certain dishes change depending on who the cook is, I would say their food is overall above average, also considering how many menu selections they have. Plus they are open 24 hours! Not everything is bombdotcom but nothing I’ve tried there(I’ve been there countless times) ever tasted bad, like many other restaurants that focus on and are famous for a few menu items. I recommend their sullungtang(ridiculously affordable), kimchi fried rice, spinach soup, kimchi stew, and any grilled meats. This place is perfect for your late night cravings, hangovers, or when you want to eat Korean food by yourself but you are too embarrassed to eat by yourself elsewhere. Service-wise, you might have to get used to; its really the Korean culture so don’t expect some great cheery waitress to help you. I’m sure for whoever has had a fair share of korean restaurant experiences, they would know most places have these kind of ahjummas(korean word for middle aged women)

I like how this place is open 24 hours. K-town is a city where I leave drunk like 95% of the time I come here. Mom’s house is one of the places I go to when I am trying to sober up. When I come here, I usually order the sullangtang since it’s pretty decent for the price. When I’m not in the mood for soup, the kim chi fried rice is actually really good here! I like to eat it with the bulgogi here. I have also tried the gamjatang? I didn’t like that one too much. It had a powdery taste in the soup and I don’t know if thats right. Overall, this place is just okay. I think Mom’s house is in business with the shop next door too. I just go over there for the kimbap. They make some pretty good ones too.

VISITONE it’s extremely hard to order something different because i so love the KIMCHIFRIEDRICE. but i made myself order the BIBIMBAP. then my order came and it wasn’t BIBIMBAP at all, it was BEEFANDONIONS over rice! my bad for asking questions about the beef menu picture with an obvious language barrier. so i ate it, figuratively and literally. i never order cheap beef dishes at asian restaurants because you get the CURLYPIECESOFMEAT with FATGLOBULES on the edges, and that’s what this was, although it was considerably LESSGLOBULAR than i expected. flavor was ok but i couldn’t hack the texture. i didn’t finish it and would not recommend. i like my meat pristine. VISITTWO the next day came back and i got the BIBIMBAP. i didn’t expect the rice to come on its own, the rest in a large stainless mixing bowl. i mixed it all up with the sauce and it was good but not stellar. what makes bibimbap great to me is when the beef is savory with seasoning, the egg yolk is runny, and the ratio of fatty flavor to non-fatty kim chis hits a balance. there was too much lettuce, not enough yolk, more like a crisp salad. i give it an average rating. i spied a SAUSAGESTEW being heated at another table. it looked bubbly, savory, thick with sausage. i couldn’t pronounce the Korean name of it, even after hearing it thrice, but i’m told it’s called SOLDIERSTEW. maybe i’ll get it the time after next… i gotta have the KIMCHIFRIEDRICE soon! happy Unilocaling and here’s to tasting life!

#9Spicy Beef with hot soup was perfect for a cold rainy day. #11 beef rib soup with vegetables also hit the spot. Fried croakers were also good. The side dishes of Kimchi, s Tasty hole in the wall restaurant in Korean town. I’ll be back.

My first time coming here, despite them having a B rating. I thought id still give it a shot. The place is small and clean. Great place to go if you want to come eat alone. I ordered the Sulungtang, which came with kimchi and raddish kimchi and a side of rice. It was delicious. Decent portions and inexpensive! There was Mexican music playing through the whole time and it only got louder. So I guess it’s not Korean people in the kitchen? It kind of threw me off but I would definitely come back here to try out their other dishes on the menu.

OPEN24HOURS. I rarely go here anymore since I don’t really go out late at night anymore which is usually when I come eat at this place since its 24 hours. During the day its not as packed but when its like 2−3am its super packed with people coming from bars, clubs – you know what I mean. Its your basic hole in the wall Korean restaurant. Definitely way better than hodori! The food here actually tastes pretty decent. I usually get the katsu or the kimchi fried rice. Yummy! The parking lot here is tiny and I’ve dinged my car once backing out! Street parking is obviously hard to find in ktown.

I love moms house! Ever since my friend introduced it to me after our late night study sesh! She mentioned a korean place that was open 24⁄7 cause it was late, of course I couldn’t decline. The only food I got from here are the Kimchi fried rice, Pork cutlet, the beef with veggies/pork with veggies. All of them are delicious. I only had the fried rice and cutlet once. Usually I just order the beef with veggies. I’ve been there multiple times. The beef/pork with veggies is so delicious because if you love lettuce wraps, this is what you need to order. I always like my lettuce wraps with one piece of meat, a small pea size of some bean paste, kimchi and garlic. and OMNOMNOM! DELICIOUS! Its fairly pricey, 12.99? But it definitely fills you up! I walk out a happy camper. Service here is always a hit or miss, youll have a good day or a bad day. Mostly, i’ve been getting bad services. Usually, korean places gives you the side at least 5 minutes once you’re seated right? Not with moms house, you get your sides once you get your food… and that can take a while… like seriously… a while… and they get all picky when you finish the sides in under a minute. Excuse us if we’re starving broke college students. But thats just a nick in their grannies. Overall, I really love moms place since its so chill and relax here. Its my go to place late at night! 4 Stars for yummy food but ok service! Have Fun and Good Luck!

$ 3.99 for sullungtang is always a good thing. You can quote me on that. Order the above and the fried fish. While you’re at it, you should get some pot dumplings. Simply too good. The location is dingy and the parking kind of sucks, but you can’t beat the price. Plus, the service was great! Two thumbs up; or in this case, 4 stars up.
