First impressions. Walking in, the bouncer awkwardly greeted us, we were the only ones there and I had to ask to show my ID. But getting, the music was on point, very chill atmosphere, good conversation volume. The place is dark but adds to the mystery. Now let’s talk about drinks. Man they are good. The greywolf… If I didn’t know this was alcohol, I would have chugged a while bottle of this. Bartenders were kind and quick. Music was pretty good throughout.

This place was more of a dive bar type feel to it. Music playlist was on point. Bartenders we’re good enough kept up with the busy crowed. Must have an «old fashion» here it was fairly tasty. Next on my list is the«eye ball» that people kept ordering I’m have that next. Place does get rather busy so I would suggest maybe getting there a bit before 10:30 if you wanna catch a stool. But people go in and out of this place so finding a seat won’t be hard to come by just have too be a little patient. I would recommend this place check it out if your ever in little Tokyo you might find some fun out there. Also if anyone can suggest good bars’ or lounges’ I more then open to any new places help Unilocalpers! Lol Drop a message. Thanks for reading

By Far my favorite bar. Great drinks, you can chill outside with great lighting for a close friendly feel. Happy hour was awesome! I was expecting a totally different feel, but i really enjoyed the lighting and layout. They also have where you can order pizza if you’re hungry. great chill spot.

I freaking love this bar and let me tell you why. 1. I love wolves. 2. Cranes are badass too. 3. The Old Fashioned here is STIFF. STIFFAS A TREETRUNK. I went on a Wednesday night and there were only a few people seated at the bar. The bartender was warm and welcoming, and I really appreciated that the place wasn’t loud and gross. Lovely mood lighting, silent TVs, just good conversations throughout. I had three OFs and got trashed, so I’d say that’s a great success. The wall is lined with an amazing selection of whisk(e)y, and I would like to come back to try all of them. Awesome little spot in Lil’ Tokyo!

I’m surprised this weekend was my first time here for being so close to so many other bars I’ve visited close by. It’s easy to miss the entrance, I noticed the chalkboard sign outside. I really like the vibe inside. Got here around 1030 with some friends. It was the most perfect amount of people inside, where it’s enough to see that they have good business but seems lowkey enough so that it’s not disgustingly packed. Although I believe by the time we left(around 1230 it got disgustingly packed and the line for the girls one stall bathroom was consistently at least at a five person length. They have a DJ. I love that they have small tables and stools to sit on. Although the bar itself is quite dark, the seating areas are lit well enough. Appeared to have a patio/smokers section. I liked the crowd. People were friendly and easy to converse with. A Japanese whiskey bar with good list of craft beers. I got the Mumford Boyd IPA, but was tempted to get their mixed drink with grapefruit soda(something about grapefruit soda is enticing). I’ll definitely be back here again.

Wolf and Crane is a pretty dark, swanky whiskey bar with a focus on Japanese whiskey. Crowd is pretty light early in the night but as the night progresses, it can fill up a bit as they bring in a DJ. The place itself is pretty small so it can get crowded quickly. Haven’t tried the food, but they have a decent bar, cocktail and whiskey collection with a majority of the mainstay Japanese whiskeys. Service is pretty decent. Overall a fun joint.

So my usual go to place in Little Tokyo is on 1st, and for those that find themselves in that area often, you should know which one I’m speaking of. It’ll remain a mystery for those of you that don’t. I’ve been trying to find another go to spot in Little Tokyo for the longest, and this has got to be it. Though I didn’t rank it as high as my favorite spot in the area, I can see myself hopping back and forth between the two in the future. Wolf & Crane definitely has a better bar feel because there’s no food served there. You know you’re there for drinks when you drop in. In need of a good cocktail? You’ll find one here. Japanese whiskey is your thing? They’ve also got you covered. This is a no frills type of bar. Not the most aesthetically pleasing, simple in design but it isn’t ugly. It was just lacking something for me, which is surprising because I usually enjoy bars similar to this one. Those that have a divey feel but are just a notch above. I’m absolutely going to return again though, five stars or not, Wolf & Crane warrants more than one visit.

Best bar in town, great bartenders that can fix you a drink unlike anything you’ve had but that you’ll love!

Japanese whiskey, good vibes and they are known for their old fashions! Friday nights they have a DJ that plays old school and new hip hop music. The crowd is pretty chill and there are moments when it is super busy on Friday nights. Thursday nights is chill. It’s a little crowded but the music play a little low so you can have a nice conversation without yelling. This is a must stop by place and you can’t beat the location.

I had always heard about this place from friends but it wasn’t until about 6 months ago that I actually was able to come here. I have been here and had two very distinct experiences but both times I walked out of this place very happy and satisfied. One of the times I came here with my friends, this place was JAMPACKED. Literally, it was pretty tough getting to the bar let alone walking anywhere with our drinks. They have a drink menu with some specialty house drinks available. I would highly recommend trying one of those since I have had a few and I have liked all of them. Besides it being pretty hard to move around the atmosphere was very lively and the music was great. On the other side of the spectrum I have been here when there is no one inside. It was literally a ghost town, but that does not mean my friends and I didn’t really enjoy ourselves. It was nice being able to move around freely and snagging a great table right in front of the bar. Plus we were able to talk to the bartender and ask him what he recommended without being shoved left and right by everyone trying to crowd the bar. All in all this bar is pretty chill, with a young hip vibe and great drinks. If you’re curious about this place just do yourself a favor and come check it out.

Japanese Whisky!!! Pretty good spot if you want to grab a drink in Little Tokyo. Very crowded on a Friday night. Highball — $ 10 — Good drink if you like it sweet. I could not taste the whisky. Overall, it was a nice cocktail.

Cozy bar located in the heart of Little Tokyo on 2nd Street. We walked over from Weller Court and found immediate seating inside. No wait service. Looks like they have a DJ but, we must have come on a non-DJ night. No big deal, there was good music playing. Looked at their draft menu, and although small, it had quality beers. I recognized and chose local brewery Mumford’s Boyd Street IPA. The pour was generous, ice cold and delicious. Noticed they offered«snacks» but, we weren’t too concerned at the time. The place is that big and got crowded very quickly. In a few words, this venue attracts hipster types, offers a full bar with all kinds of whiskeys, craft beers, no food, and you may run into a pan handler outside. I approve. Enjoy!

If I plan on drinking in Lil-T, Wolf and Crane always finds a way into the lineup. Drinks: The draw of W&C is the whiskey selection. There are varieties of Japanese, Taiwanese, and Irish Whiskeys(e.g our friend Jack D) to chose from. Since we’re in Little Tokyo, my choice would be the J-Whiskey. So while reading this you may be thinking, «What whiskey is right for me?» or «Which whiskey should I get and try?» You can select recently distilled whiskey to whiskey that have been aged for 21 years such as the Suntory Hibiki. If you asked yourself one of the questions above, you should start off with something like the Nikka Taketsuru Malt. I, myself prefer the Yamazaki Malt 12 but it will probably differ since the prices absolutely do not always mean better taste. The prices are centered around the age of the whiskey(which again, does not equate to better taste!) It just costs more to age whiskey longer. Doing this also allows the whiskey to blend and pull flavors from the barrels and some of the alcohol content evaporates so it can mellow out a little. Try several of them and find your niche. For the non whiskey drinkers, there are selections of cocktails, drafts, wines, and scotch also. Something for everyone. Food: You can order Pitfire Pizza(which is better than nothing), but personally I think it takes too long and you’re in a prime area for food so there should be no reason to get this. Ambiance: The bar and lounge areas are quite dark. You can sit at the bar or the tables behind the bar and chat or watch one of the games that are on. Further away from the bar, there is a lounge area where you can chat and socialize. There is also an outside area you can hang if you smoke etc. Nothing extravagant, but definitely mellow/chill. Overall, good place to stop, sip some alc, chill and move on.

Nondescript bar in Little Tokyo that is known for its Japanese Whiskey although they offer other types of drinks as well the bar is pretty small inside but even though there was a line to get in, the bar wasn’t too crowded inside which i appreciated(i guess the bouncer has the flow nailed down) —Tennessee whiskey cocktail: recommended by the bartender when i mentioned i like citrus-y drinks, and even though i don’t like whiskey he reassured me i would like this one, ANDHEWASSORIGHT, you can’t even tell there’s whiskey there’s a small outdoor area, indoor area, bar area, and a good amount of standing room

Happy Hour Monday-Friday from 5pm-7pm &ALLDAY Sunday! Lucky for me, I decided to leave my grandma-ness behind this past Sunday during the Labor Day weekend *girly scream. Wolf & Crane was the second bar we came to that night. Our party of 7 arrived around 12:00am and it was a chill type of environment. A few friends mentioned during the regular weekend(Friday/Saturdays) the place gets packed and there is even a little dance floor on the opposite side of the bar. Once we started to leave around 12:45pm, Wolf & Crane was a little more packed than when we first walked in. Happy Hour specials include a few beer options, wine and well drinks for $ 5, as well as cocktails ranging from different prices for the house special, high balls, and low balls. Try the Eastsider($ 10)! Delicious & refreshing. Parking anywhere in the general area is a pain in the behind. We scored street parking close to Angel City Brewery and walked over.

Come here for their $ 10 Beer + Whiskey Combo! Definitely worth it here. There are seats inside to lounge around, and there’s also a separated area for smokers. You will get a good buzz going here. Depending on the nights, you will see a crowd.

We were looking for a space to hold a mixer and Wolf & Crane turned out to be perfect. The staff made it very easy for us. There’s a semi-private space across from the bar that can be booked. It’s not closed off from the main area so don’t expect privacy but it does delineate some separation from the general crowd. Anyhow, we didn’t have to pay extra to use the space for our group of 40+, but that may have been because our event was on a Wednesday. We asked for drink tickets for our guests and only had to pay based on use. Wolf & Crane doesn’t offer food, but you can get delivery from Pitfire Pizza. We placed an order in advance(I believe it was 28 pizzas) and everything arrived promptly. Our party was very happy with the event and the venue! Before the event, the planning committee came for a site visit. A few of us enjoyed a NIKKAOLD-FASHIONED. Whisky and beer are the main draws here.

A nice little bar in Little Tokyo! I’ve been here a few times already and I like it. Very casual, very laid back with a good mixed crowd. Everybody seemed chilled inside as the place is quite small and it’s packed on weekends. Space and seating is extremely limited with only one bar where people like to crowd around. At least everybody respected each others space around the bar area without pushing and shoving one another trying to get through. The guys and gals were courteous, while politely excusing each other… cool! Not ghetto! The bartender knows how to mix good drinks without it being too watered down. Their variety of whiskies, vodkas, and mixes made it worthwhile for me to go back. The only problem I had was the bartenders didn’t seem to have a set price for their drinks. For example, my Moscow Mule costed me $ 8.00, $ 9.00, and $ 11.00 one night and my friend asked why, and their answer was it’s always the same price. We didn’t know who to believe because each time was a different bartender. I do like this place because it’s chilled. Compared to my younger days, I don’t party or go to clubs anymore. And if I do, it’s usually for a birthday or when a friend comes in from out of town. I only frequent lounges and bars nowadays. And I must say this place is cool, chilled, and the DJs play good music. Everybody there seems to always have a nice time. I would give this place four strong stars. But minus one star because bartenders randomly calls out drink prices. That’s not cool because I don’t know exactly why they do that. I hope they’re not trying to rip people off.
