Boyfriend got bad stomach flu. Their sashimi looked old and had weird black dots everywhere. Worker didn’t even wash his hand.

The fish is still frozen in the hand roll!!! Also in the fish rice! It’s horrible! I shouldn’t have come here at all. It’s a waste of time and money. It’s ok if just come here for sushi togo. But I won’t bother

I stopped here after spending the evening at nearby Hugh Spa. I could have spent $ 10 at their in-house cafeteria and gotten half a dish of ddeukboki, but instead I went to Yanusa and got a bowl of udon soup with tofu and chrysanthemum leaves, 5 pieces of a fish-and-radish-and-egg stuffed kimbap, and two baked mussels, plus the table radish and cabbage banchan. None of the above were standouts except the kimbap, which I would not hesitate to buy in bulk and eat all week if I saw it at H-Mart. It’s better than the brand they usually carry(Awoolim). The mussels are smothered in mayo. The udon is mild, but the addition of the chrysanthemum leaves is a nice taste-enhancer, and the tofu slices are so fish-broth infused I initially thought they were fish cakes!

Besttt udon in k-town. Super cheap, always filling. I love the spicy tuna roll combo because you get complimentary baked mussels and it’s just a great place to get quick, cheap, and bomb food.

Whenever I have a Udon, Kimbap, or Baked Mussel craving, I come here to eat. Cheap food and it’s also legit.

This place has the best udon in ktwon. I’ve been coming here for at least 7 years and I never had any bad experience. All of the staffs are very friendly and work efficiently. The udon only takes about 8−13minutes to come out and it’s beyond superb. I always get sushi combo with udon and cali udon. The cali udon comes out with two baked mussels and those are amazing as well. I’ll come back without any doubt!

Awesome broth and fast service even faster than McDonald. The price is reasonable and side dishes are so good along with the Udon. I usually order California roll with udon combo or sushi with udon combo but both only cost under $ 10. The flavor of richly simmered broth makes me keep craving for Udon especially windy and gloomy day. I even tried to make similar Udon with some instant package noodle that I got from the Hannam market but the tastes was so different. Try it! You will never disappoint

I eat here often usually food is good for a dive. Anyhow ordered the same thing as usual the udon and sushi combo. Tasted the sushi roll and it tastes like someone handled it after putting on tons of perfume and/or cosmetics. I politely informed the workers about sushi roll having smell. The manager/owner got upset at me and said ‘No’ we cannot redo your sushi roll. I said politely that I will just have my udon.

Favorite spot for cheap sushi! It’s not the best quality, in fact sub par. However it is affordable and very filling! For example, Spicy Tuna Roll runs you around 9 bucks that can be considered too much food for someone like me(5’1). They also give you service every time by giving you two mussels with sauce– which are delicious by the way. If you come here, definitely get either the Cali Udong or the Spicy Tuna Roll. Their Spicy Tuna is honestly in my opinion the best roll despite it being cheap. Their Sushi for one is also good, it is huge. If you’re looking for quantity and don’t care too much about the quality of the fish, come here. It’s surprisngly good.

$ 9(with tax) for three handrolls, banchans, and miso soup?! I SAYYES! My sister and I were shopping at Hanam and got a little hungry so we decided to stop at the little restaurant near the produce to have a bite. To our surprise, the 3 handrolls were amazing, fresh, and a great portion of food for two girls! The three handrolls are spicy fish(tuna, salmon, yellowtail mix I think), california roll, and eel. Let me tell you, they don’t skimp on the meat or avocado! It was delicious. The miso soup was a wonderful touch and a bigger portion than normal. Score! Will be back.

Surprisingly good for a small place inside the supermarket. Udon is OK, rolls are good, mussels are great!

Nothing special but it’s pretty good and fast. The udon is really good. The spicy tuna roll is good as well. I love the spicy radish that they give you.

Looooooove Korean style udon! Broth is slightly sweet and savory, topped with yummy fragrant herby Ssukgat(edible chrysanthemum leaves) which I LOVE and want more of. Also obsessed with the spongy texture of the deep fried tofu pouches that soak up the yummy broth. All my favorite flavors and textures in one bowl. Their combos are plenty for two not so famished people to share. Comes with baked muscles and Kimbap or California Roll(which I would NEVER typically order but it comes with the meal). To be honest with you guys, I actually enjoyed the cheapo Cali roll! Rice was fresh, warm, not sure if there was mayo in it or if the Capelin roe itself was sweet but whatever, it tasted amazing in my mouth. The woman running the stall was super cute, smiling and chuckling away as I stated the food was tasty. I will return. :) P. S. It’s located inside Hannam Chain Supermarket. You won’t find their name in English anywhere. Beauty is they accept Credit/Debit cards w/o a minimum. :D

Wow… I just experienced most terrible service… I come here quite often as I commute to Downtown. I ordered odeng as usual and it was cold on first bite. Obviously, it was frozen and they just boil them in hot fish soup. The waitress gave me an attitude that I am the only one who’s complaining and told me never order odeng next time. WTF! I told her that this wasn’t my first time having odeng in this place. She never apologized for serving cold food. She got me so upset. Don’t eat at this place. They mistreat their customers.

I am absolutely so disappointed in this restaurant. Sorry to even call it a restaurant. Food is disgusting period. I ordered Udon and the fishcakes in the udon weren’t even cooked well. It was still frozen inside. The service is what was more disgusting. The waitress didn’t apologize and just took the bowl and brought a new one. And once again the fishcakes were still frozen. I told her once again, the fishcakes were frozen. She seemed really annoyed and said, maybe you should order this. You are the only one complaining about the frozen fishcake. Everyone else seems fine with it. We use frozen fishcakes so that can happen. lol WOW! I couldn’t believe she actually said that. Will never go back. Restaurant owners with this kind of attitude needs to go out of business!

One of my favorite places to get sushi. I come here a lot! It’s cheap and it’s so good. You won’t be disappointed. The spicy tuna roll, unagi, and fish rice are my favorite things to get. They also give you a big bowl of soup for free. Only thing is it’s located inside a supermarket so the dining area is small but I don’t mind at all. I love this place

I’m craving for Udon soup so I just searched near my area, found this place and decided to try it. It did satisfy my cravings, the food is cheap as for the price. We will surely come back here.

CHEAPSUSHI ~ No fancy stuff and although their menu is super limited, their fish selection is fresh. Let me reiterate what every other review has pointed out: This is a super tiny place — if hole in the walls had hole in the walls… this would be what they would look like, so I usually call in my TO-GO lunch order. It’s snugged in the front right corner of a large super market with a large parking lot. Parking is usually not an issue(but beware of the drivers lol). Being placed in a market is convenient because you can pick up your six pack of Sapporo or Asahi(they have other beers and a large selection of saki and soju in the market but those are my go to beers — or Hite). I usually order the #13 Fish Rice and their #22 Spicy Roll(both items under $ 9 each). Their portions are more than enough for one person but not enough for two ~ which is why I usually share with a cheap sushi partner in crime. All TO-GO items are carefully packaged and I’ve never had spillage or a mess when I open the packages. It is with this same care that they serve your food in this little nook. The staff is attentive and very kind — language is a slight barrier but nothing that can hinder your experience — this is NOT a wine and dine kinda a place — it’s a sushi bite — and for what it is, it is GREAT! I have tried their hand rolls too and they are yumms as well. I have tried their soups — but for that, there are other places mainly Phở joints across the street. This is my GO– TO spot for work lunch sushi — no frills and I like it.

A hidden gem! SO hidden that I’m the first to review! Woohoo! This place is a small take-out and catering restaurant located INSIDE the corner of Hannam Chain, the Korean market in the plaza next to Café Tous Les Jour. As soon as you walk in, you’ll see it on the right side. Very humble and cozy, only 4 small tables and a sushi bar. The times I’ve come here, I’ve tried their udon for $ 5.55. I really like the taste of their broth/soup! They also have sushi and rolls, and you can get a combination of california roll + udon for $ 7.39 which also comes with 2 mussels. You can also get a spicy tuna roll instead in the combo, although it’s not on the menu. Pretty good deal! The service is always super fast and the prices are cheap! So next time you have to buy some groceries at the Korean market, stop by and grab a quick bite to eat! Easy on the wallet and yummy in the tummy! :)
