Lisa and Ashely have both delivered the kind of service I need and expect in a salon. Great personalities with the skills to give me the long lasting beautiful look I want. Aveda products is a plus too.

Best hidden find. This boutique salon has amazing Aveda color. They give attention to detail. Honest, friendly, fair prices.

You have to try this place! Lisa and Ashley do superb work! I get a blowout here and they do great work at getting my hair really smooth and straight!’ It really stays straight too! I LOVE the fact that they use only the Aveda product line from special smoothing leave in treatments to hair color by Aveda! My friend gets her hair colored here and it looks amazing! Really keeps my hair healthy and shiny!

AMAZING, FANTASTIC! Lisa is the Master of Aveda Color and Ashley is wonderful too. ALWAYS get a skillful cut and stylethat perfectly accentuates my face, but this last visit was over-​the-​top life-​changing. You can see in my profile the picture I have with a shock of purple/​blue, which I’ve been wanting to do for years but hadn’t done it until a week ago.
I can’t tell you how pleased I am with this color and style. Everyone is complimenting me! One went so far as to say, «I know this seems odd to say, but it looks natural!» Exactly. That’s the genius of Lisa at The Pure Path. I’ve had people say that I look like I’m in my 30s (I’m 53!)

I lost my hairstylist to Las Vegas. Since then I’ve been to a few –what I would hope to be replacments– with no luck or happiness UNTIL I was given a groupon here.
I received a groupon for 89.00 as a gift back in October for my birthday. Because I had such a bad experience at another salon waaaay back in July, I had not even ventured to to get trim. Yea. It was that bad. Like tears in my car driving home bad. BUT I decided I was gonna big girl up and yet again take the chance and use this groupon atleast for a conditioning and trim. I rationalized it as ~A) you can’t really mess up a deep conditioning and B) I hadn’t had a trim in almost a year so I had the length to work with if something went a rye. And C) it’s Aveda!
So, I arrive at my appointent a few minutes early. The place is very small and there are only two hairstylist there. The inside is a little dated and maybe discouraging. BUT lots of places in Los Gato’s have that old beachy/​mountainesque feel to them. Judgments aside and 5 minutes later I was in Ashley’s chair.
I expressed I needed my hair to have shape! It had been so long that it was just a pile of black madness on the top of my head. I had been doing my own dye jobs and the outcome to my drugstore dye jobs was layer after layer of black pigment. I kinda looked like I was going for a goth look. No offense to anyone who likes that look~ to each their own~ that’s just not me. The intent of the visit was really to use the groupon however, I got so much more.
I brought 3 pictures with me. The cuts were similar in all three. I had asked if they could maybe warm up the tone of my hair so it wasn’t so chalkboard black. The salon owner Lisa suggested that they wash out the dye and tone it down to lift out the black. The outcome was gorgeous!!! And the overall health, texture and condition is so soft and managable.
I swear the cut and color took 5 years off my age.
I am so grateful for Ashley and Lisa. Ashley has a lot of experince and she’s awesome at her cutting skills. I like the fact that she consults Lisa whom is extremely knowledgable to fortify whatever process she’s going to do. The two consolidating ideas made me feel confident and not like~ ‘well, here we go. Lets hope for the best’ type of experience.
I left that place really feeling truely gateful and happy…

Michelle at The Pure Path is great! I’ve been seeing her for the past few years and I get great service and it is never difficult to get an appointment. I’ve seen Michelle for cuts, color, highlights, extensions and Keratin straightening. My hair always looks great and Michelle really listens to what I want. I definitely recommend her!

Just had my hair colored at The Pure Path Ashley did a great job matching my natural hair and covered my stubborn grey perfectly! The salon is small but don’t that fool you its a relaxing atmosphere! The owner Lisa is so knowledgable as well and AVEDA products they use are a great perk!

I have never been so mad at a hair salon in my entire life. I paid for a full highlight, conditioning, cut and blow dry I purchased from Groupon and results were horrifying. My hair is light brown and I wanted NATURAL looking blonder highlights and Ashley made me look like a skunk. The streaks are so obvious and awfully looking and they’re ALL over my head. It wouldn’t be so bad if she hadn’t left the dye in so long maybe but she left them in for OVER AND HOUR. There are strips of my hair that are completely white, especially the ones framing my face. when it’s up in a ponytail it looks even more hideous. Also washing the dye out of my hair took Ashley almost an hour which was absolutely ridiculous.
I am not joking when I say I look like a backstreet boy with f***ing frosted tips. Not only did the service take OVER 3 HOURS, but she decided to completely skip the blow dry which I paid for and did not get refunded back. The «salon» is also the size of a closet and does not look clean. They use the bathroom as a supply room and keep food back there which one woman was EATING while coloring someone else’s hair. Not to mention the only wall for privacy to use the bathroom is a CURTAIN. In addition, the entire time I was getting the service, they kept trying to sell me things and got really offended when I didn’t want to buy anything at the end.
Overall, UNPROFESSIONAL and very disappointing. I will now have to pay $ 200 to have this fixed at a proper salon which will dry out my hair even more than this near bleaching experience. NEVER STEP FOOT INTO The Pure Path unless you’re looking for horrible results.

Ashley and Lisa are a great team. After a botched home coloring «experiment» I stopped in to get their advice on how to fix my hair. Fortunately I had the good sense to let them correct the color for me and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Highly recommend!

While this salon looks like a tiny, hole-​in-​the-​wall type of joint, don’t be fooled. This place is great! I’ve been to other Aveda salons, and this is by far the most personable. The salon is run by Lisa I believe, and she has one other gal (Ashley) working here as well. It’s not your run-​of-​the-​mill Aveda salon. I had a groupon for a cut with Ashley… She did a great job! Normally the next time I need a cut I just buy a new groupon, but I will for sure return. She works hard to ensure her clients are happy, and will not let you leave unless you love your cut! I highly recommend her, and the Aveda products are great (again, I never got into high-​end products until trying Aveda… they are for sure worth the extra money)!

I was in town for a wedding and didn’t have my hair goo with me. I walked into The Pure Path and Lisa was kind enough to let me use her products. Thanks, Lisa for helping me look great even though you weren’t getting paid for it. ;)

Lisa has been in Los Gatos for awhile now. There’s a reason for that… she knows her stuff. She’s been cutting my hair for a long time and a couple of times, due to travel, had to have a haircut on the east coast. What a mistake… I only let Lisa cut my hair. Great little salon, no pretentious BS, music or drama like other places around town.
When is comes to hair… Lisa is man’s best friend!

Lisa Lischka ROCKS! She is a master of color and styling. My hair color and highlights always look gorgeous — the work of a true artist! You can buy Aveda products at Lisa’s salon, but there is never any «hard sell.» Pure Path is a small, quaint, relaxing place to be. Go Lisa! Go Pure Path!

I had my hair cut here in Sept and plan on going back soon. Lisa was friendy, gave me a great cut, and a couple free Aveda samples. I very much appreciated the laid back atmosphere and complete lack of pretension in this Los Gatos salon.

Lisa with her friendly southern charm is a gifted colorist who makes my color look natural and always knows the latest hair cuts to suit me. I’ve been going there for years now and I’ve always been pleased with the results. The Pure Path is a cozy little place next door to the ACE hardware store on S. Santa Cruz. Great for men or women. Tip: They take walk-​ins and will do their best to squeeze you into their busy schedules.
