I’ve never dinned in here, but rather ordered their take-out. It’s usually ready very fast and is packaged to stay warm while driving home. The chicken dishes(such as sesame and sweet and sour) are very breaded and soft and coated in sauce. Not my personal favorite, but some people love it. The crab ragoon is decent, a good flavor and not a distinct cream cheese texture. Everything that is fried is crisped well and not over done. If you’re looking for inexpensive and fast in the area, this is a good bet.

This is our go to for Chinese takeout mostly because of its proximity, but also because they’re quick and the food is pretty good. On this occasion we actually dined in the restaurant. The service was prompt, especially since we were the only ones there on a cold snowy night. They promptly brought us hot tea served in cute little cups and wonton chips with duck sauce and spicy mustard sauce. We both ordered a dinner combination plate that includes ham fried rice, an egg roll, and your choice of wonton, egg drop or hot and sour soup. My wonton soup was divine on such a cold might. The hot and sour soup was spicy, thick, and filling. I ordered the twice sautéed beef and our hostess was kind enough to point out that it came with only cabbage and offered to substitute the cabbage for mixed vegetables which I did. The beef and the sauce were delicious, the beef tender. My husband’s sesame chicken was good, nothing out of this world but definitely respectable. Still had plenty left on our plates to take home. If you’re in the area you should stop by, consider it next time you’re looking for takeout.

I ordered takeout from Pearl Of The Orient in Loudonville recently. The lady at the counter promptly took my order for C2 Chicken Lo Mein($ 7.95 plus tax) with Pork Fried Rice & Egg Roll. My food order took about 15 minutes to be ready. The portion of food was just right, served in a plastic rectangular compartment container with the chicken lo mein on one side and the pork fried rice on the other side, egg roll in a plastic baggie, hot mustard, duck sauce, and plastic fork in bag. The food overall was okay. The chicken lo mein had plenty of soft boneless chicken pieces, onions, mushrooms, water chestnuts tossed with soft lo mein noodles, slightly salty tasting. The pork fried rice(goldenrod) had a soft texture with a mix of small tender lean roast pork pieces, onion, and egg. The egg roll was small filled with cabbage & ground pork, very crisp on the outside, fried shell was flaking. I would stop here again, but to dine in on a weekday to try the Lunch Buffet.

I’m extremely picky when it comes to Chinese food. I used to work right down the road from this restaurant and the lunchtime buffet was always convenient, cheap and delicious. You absolutely cannot beat their noodles and duck sauce!

Underrated and underutilized. The food is very good, the staff friendly, and the prices great. This is your basic Chinese restaurant/take-out place, done right.

Good food. Always hot when ordering take out. Dine in is clean and well service. Sweet people as well. Food has been over cooked a few times but never enough to complain about. One of the best Chinese places in the area.

In my opinion this is really about 4 stars but I had to give them the extra star because of the harsh 1 star review that was on here. I’ve been coming here for years and the food is always good. Its one of the few dine in Chinese restaurants left in this area. If you want a nice quiet dinner this is the place. Whenever I eat in the restaurant there is at most 1 or 2 other tables. For some reason people just like to get take out and eat it home when it comes to Chinese. But then you miss out on those delicious crunchy noodles and duck sauce! I’ve heard they do a better business with lunchtime and they have a small buffet set up but i’ve never had the chance to try it personally. The Chicken and Broccoli is one of my favorite. The General Tso’s chicken is a little different than most and comes in mild, med, or hot so keep that in mind when ordering. Service is quick and friendly and feels like you are part of the family. If you are looking for actual quality Chinese, not just the take out garbage that clutters the area, check this place out and ignore the other bad review. Mistakes can happen anywhere once in awhile.

For a few months, my co-worker was ordering lunch from here about two to three times a week. It’s down the street from our office, it’s well-priced and it looked tasty. He assured me that it did in fact, taste good. I liked that they offered a «healthy choice» menu and I kept thinking I should join him in ordering. But then came the day of the metal shard. While digging into his food, he chomped down on a small piece of metal. He brought the piece to the restaurant later after calling them to let them know. The woman looked at it and decided it was a piece of metal mesh from one of the scouring pads. Having looked at it, I concurred with her assessment. However, that was the end of it. No apology. No coupon. Nothing. Can we say FAIL?
