My first time today, I went through the drive thru, I ordered the Cochinita Bowl– I was very impressed, the meat is very flavorful, the potatoes is good, portion is big enough to feed four people. I will be coming back and trying out other stuff!

I was really excited for this fast food spinoff of eggsclusive which I love… But I was sadly disappointed. The menu items sounded great. Albeit a little pricey but I wouldn’t mind paying more for quality and it wasn’t there. The biscuit and gravy was lacking in a lot of flavor The Nutella donut was exactly that… A yeast donut cut in half and spread with Nutella(I could have done that at home for less) Senior bond was good(not great)… But overpriced for the size The Mexicana bowl portion generous but really not spectacular. It was easily Shared by two… So then I guess economical and it already comes to you in to go containers Maybe I will go back after the opening honeymoon over

The food was ok, kind of bland. My main complaint is their use of carry-out plastic containers. Every order, every person has their food served in a plastic container. This environmentally-unfriendly practice seems to be quite wasteful. Most fast food restaurants compromise using mostly paper. If customers want to take leftovers home all they need to do is ask. This may seem to be a trivial issue but business can take steps to reduce non-biodegradable waste.

Food was served warm but not at all unique or memorable. You pay for sit down food and get fast food quality. The bill ended up being almost $ 45 for four egg bowls, three cups of coffee, and an English muffin and because it is all self serve there is no opportunity for the staff to earn tips. They just bring out these Jimmy Dean microwavable bowls that EVERYTHING was served in. We ordered the english muffin and even it came served in a tiny plastic bowl with two plastic containers of butter. What was the most frustrating was looking at the table and seeing the absolutely EVERYTHING on the table was short term use and that Eggspress appeared to do nothing themselves to facilitate the recycling or repurposing of all of the trash. The only thing was a sign right near the garbage reminding people the plastic containers are reusable. There should be a sorting center where food and paper items can be separated for composting and plastic placed for rinsing and recycling. However, I would say with near certainty that Eggspress sends almost all of their recyclable trash unsorted to the landfill. My recommendation would be to hire a dishwasher and some bussers and ditch the plastic unless someone is actually buying the meal to be carried out. Places like Eggspress need to understand that their model is in no way sustainable and that their signs encouraging us to take home our bowls are a see through attempt at resolving the issue.

I liked the interior, very modern. I liked the staff, very friendly and polite. I didn’t care for the microwaved food. I was hoping for more, many people will probably like it, but not for me.

Interior modern(stark?), clean, and well maintained. Service was friendly and fast. My wife had the Cinnabomb french toast, which she thought was good. I thought that it was mediocre at best. I had the Standard breakfast sandwich(toasted bagel, scrambled eggs, and cream cheese). The eggs were microwaved and cold. The bagel wasn’t toasted, and was also microwaved — super tough and rubbery. Nearly impossible to chew. At least the fresh OJ was good. FYI — no free water. One star for fast, friendly service. Frankly, I’ve had better at MD’s.

Clean, euro-trendy, friendly atmosphere. Had the corned beef bowl and son had the bacon and biscuits without the eggs and cheese. Decent food in decent portions. I like my coffee my stronger than this but it was ok. Prices were OK. Would come back if in the area to try the fresh OJ and other menu items. Why all the plastic for dining in? Didn’t see any recycling. Would have expected more environmental friendliness at a place like this.

Environment is plastic and Stark. Do not expect any organic eggs or meat. You will be eating your food in a plastic bowl with plastic utensils. No water cups or water is accessible. Food was good not great and overpriced. I will not be back. I’m giving two stars because the food choices was diverse.

I’ve been here twice and the food was good both times. The portion sizes are generous — definitely bigger than a comparable breakfast place like Egg Harbor and the average plate price is $ 1 – 2 cheaper. I wish there was a dine-in option for eating from a real plate, but the plastic bowls do make«to-go» easier. The fresh-squeezed orange juice is incredible. If there were an option on Unilocal to do 3 ½ star review instead of four, that’s what I’d give this place. I HATE the Euro-House music that’s always playing. That’s not what I want to hear when I’m eating breakfast. Give me classic Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong-style jazz or George Winston or something more easy-going than the awful trying-to-be-trendy music that’s happening constantly.

Not a big fan of all the plastic, sure you can take it home and reuse it but I’d rather just eat off a plate. Had«The Jack» seemed microwaved because the English muffin was super chewy and rubbery. I liked the airy, bright clean & simple dining room. The orange couches look good but a total waste of space — no one was sitting on them but people were waiting for tables. On a busy Sunday they need more tables less lounge.

My girlfriend got the hashed and that was pretty good. I got the new Yorker and it tasted good, minus the fact that they are super stingy with the salmon. Too much bread, not enough lox like every place I’ve been too. Compounding on their stingyness, bottled water is $ 2, and they will charge you for a cup to have tap water.

Very nice upscale breakfast place. Fresh food and fresh OJ. European style. Great for friends, family, or business lunch. Very clean and bright place with nice outside setting too. Huge skillets. I will be back.

What a disappointment. If I wanted cafeteria quality food(complete with the disposable plates with a clear lid and white plastic silverware) I’d save myself the money and go to a hospital cafeteria. Eggspress does not provide any side dishes, toast with their meals, or any options for children. So if you’re looking for something beyond exactly what’s on the small menu, go elsewhere. I will admit that the food was brought to our table quickly, but upon opening the lid, it was clear that either the quality of food is poor or just really badly cooked. I’m not sure which is worse. I ordered the garden bowl and my husband ordered the Benedict bowl(which in no way resembled a Benedict of any kind). We both couldn’t stand our meals. The décor is modern and fun. The $ 3.50 for a 12 oz orange juice was delicious, but at that price, I’d expect it to be so. If you want fast food quality food and experience with sit down restaurant prices, this is your place!

A+ atmosphere and service — food was good and coffee was just ok — They were happy to cut the carbs for me but charged for extra veggies in place of potatoes. Fast and friendly and a really nice atmosphere for conversation while eating. I’ll be back!

Quick service, food came out fast and was good! Tried the biscuits and gravy and it was great! Could have used some more sausage pieces but still a decent gravy. Will definitely try it again.

Today is the grand opening of Eggspress(or as it looks on the sign: Eggspresso”. First things first: I am very happy that this restaurant exists and I am always pleased when people invest in our city. The décor is trendy, bright and open. It’s hard to believe that this used to be Singapore Grill. The owners must have completely gutted the place and started from scratch. Great job! I acknowledge up front that this is day one for Eggspress and there will be growing pains so my hope is to come back again and give a higher rating and I anticipate that I will. My wife and I came this morning for breakfast and the menu has some really great choices but the food was disappointing. My wife ordered the Garden bowl and she was only able to eat a few bites before pushing it to the side. The reason is because the veggies were overcooked and dead. The onions tasted like they had been frozen previously and were not tasty. I ordered the Cochinita Bowl and it was delicious(and actually enough to feed both of us). However, I had COLD potatoes throughout the bowl. The middle was hot, but the edges were not which leads me to believe that in an effort to provide food fast they are using precooked food and nuking it. Two-thirds of my bowl was delicious and one-third was unpleasant. Service was good and I’m happy they have free Wi-Fi(but I don’t see any outlets anywhere for laptops). They have a repetitive ambient music that gets annoying REALLY fast. Positives: Portion Size; Ambiance; Décor; Wi-Fi; Service; Lifting up Rockford Negatives: Food quality; Food temperature; ambient music
