One of our favorite BBQ places! I love the sliced brisket sandwich for lunch. The sides are pretty good and they have home add cobbler for dessert. Their hours are limited to M-F lunches.

WOW ! How is it I have been traveling to Lubbock for 15+ years and I just now find Eddie’s. This is a mortal sin to have not known of this place :) Ambience: is exactly as you may expect once you park on the gravel/dirt lot, Great! The smoke house is on the right hand side and boy does it smell awesome. When you walk in, it’s the an assortment of every license plate around, with a wall of hot sauce bottles(for show only), and a dining room full of days gone by regalia. Not to mention a small stage for a band. 5* Service: Walk up to the literal hole in the wall while peering at the menu near the top of the wall. Basic and to the point(goes back to the ambience again). Once you’ve ordered, give them your name, grab a drink and sit down and wait. When your meal is ready someone comes from the kitchen with meal in hand and yells out your name, then drop off the meal for you. Gotta say it was fitting for the place. 5* Food: Where to begin, One of our party of 4 ordered the Frito Pie and I must say it looked fantastic(he eat every last bite)! I had the Pulled Pork Sandwich and 2 Ribs with a Diet Dr. Pepper(in a 12oz can, no soda machines here). Heaven just Heaven I’ll say! The Ribs were huge and the sandwich was incredible. Eddie has found the right formula for his place. From the atmosphere to the food and Eddie going table to table just checking in on how everything is… you’ll be glad you stopped in. 5* because that’s as high as Unilocal will allow!

Best BBQ in the LBK in my opinion. I don’t even mind driving out to the restaurant. The people are always nice, the place is clean, and the food is the best far. I like the Frito pie, the brisket, the sausage, and the cobbler is a must! Highly recommended!!!

This is my favorite barbeque place in Lubbock. Unfortunately, I don’t get to eat here too often as they are only open for lunch on weekdays until they sell out. At any other barbeque place I usually get sliced brisket and whatever sides I choose. However, the first time I ate here I felt like trying the chili Frito pie and I have not strayed away from it since. I am telling you it is… the BEST. I’m sure the regular barbeque is good too(the people I eat with always seem to think so) but I just can’t NOT get the Frito pie. It is more than just chili on Fritos. But honestly if that’s all it was I’d still get it because their chili is Heaven sent. The atmosphere is great. I love the back room. It’s a lot bigger on the inside that you expect when you see this little shack on the side of the road. If you haven’t been… GO. If you have been and haven’t tried the Frito pie… TRYIT. Also the one time I got cobbler I thought I had died and gone to Heaven. My cellulite’s conscience has prevented me from getting it ever since but I think I’m going to have to break down and get it again soon because I think it actually saved my life. I wasn’t in danger or anything but it’s just that good.

Barbecue is very good here, real rustic and out of the way. Don’t miss the beans. Had chopped beef and sausage. Spicy sauce is great. Been here a few times and never disappointed. I think they’re just open at lunch.

This was an amazing surprise for lubbock. It was so good. Everything was hot and fresh. Service was amazing and the atmosphere was unique and fun. The price was even a great thing to rave about. I recommend this to anyone and everyone!

Best ribs ever! With no exaggeration I can say my life is divided into two eras: BHRE(Before Having Ribs at Eddie’s) and AHRE(After Having Ribs at Eddie’s)! Also the owner, Eddie DeLavan, was extremely warm and friendly. You could find any sorts of random shit all over the place. At least to me it looked like a huge weird surreal garage. I was too busy with the ribs though that didn’t want to pay attention to the surroundings to be honest.

I could wax and wane about smoke, and tender lean brisket, blah blah about hints and essence and subtleties. Instead I’ll say, just go here! Brisket, pork, and ribs, all superior. Come eat and be satisfied, it won’t disappoint the mature pallet.

Eddie’s is what a Barbeque place should be. I love going there for lunch. Sliced beef sandwiches are the best. Great service. A fun place to go. It’s a great value for the money.

Gotta be one of the best authentic BBQ joints in the city. They’ve got a homemade Frito pie that is loaded. My fave is the beef and sausage. The pork loin is a bit dry and the ribs are just okay(IMHO). Price is very comparable to other lunch places but the food is better!

This was my first time to eat at Eddie’s but it certainly won’t be the last! I had lots of good word of mouth about this place and the comments on Unilocal!sealed the deal for me. It’s very hard to miss this bright red building covered with various road signs, many bright orange. The façade almost literally shouts at you. I would have to call it, affectionately, D.O.T. chic meets flea-market fancy. I had checked out the menu ahead of time so I knew what I wanted… the 3 meat plate baby! Two HUGE pork ribs, sliced brisket and spicy smoked sausage paired with the creamiest potato salad I’ve ever had and beans. Man that was good stuff! Everything was cooked perfectly, right down to the beans. The sauce had a little sweetness to it which I usually don’t care for, but worked great with the tender, very lean beef and the spicy sausage. I think the only failure was on my part — I didn’t ask for extra sauce.

I had the ribs and«world famous» Frito pie. Well, the ribs certainly can’t be called«famous” — that pig fought me for that meat all the way! Chewy! The flavor wasn’t bad, oaky smoked. By the time I had wrestled the meat from two bones, I was beaten! So the other 4 ribs went into the trash. The frito pie was interesting, with sausage and chopped beef held together with cheese over a bed of fritos, and earned the Eddie’s second star. Lubbock is in sore need of a good rib joint, or at least they need to find some pigs that don’t fight back!

I have lived in Lubbock many years and yayyy for Unilocal for assisting me to find Eddie’s Barbeque. I love BBQ but before finding Eddie’s I believed Tom and Bingo’s was the only authenic BBQ in town. It was a drive but totally worth it. The people were delightful.

April 21, 2012 my daughter had her engagement party there. Our first time to Lubbuck. The owner was hands on very nice and helpful. I recommend this place for all private parties. We brought our Ipods and connected to his system. We also brought our own coolers filled with beer. This place has room for a DJ or Band great place for a party. Needs to open a location here in Houston. Bar B Que was spot on. He gets his spices and sauce from Houston so you know its good. Really enjoyed this spot. Good Luck and we wish you the best from Houston.

Delicious BBQ! Spotlessly clean! Very friendly! Once you are inside you will find it is a lot bigger than it looks. The walls are covered with interesting collectibles of all kinds. There is even a dance floor. Make sure you use the directions from Unilocal to find it. This is definitely BBQ done right and not to be missed.

Best BBQ joint I have ever been to! It is not on the beaten path, it is not fancy. It is just excellent food! Frito pie, sausage, brisket, potato salad, ribs, pork… it’s all excellent. My only criticism is that they aren’t open longer hours… just lunch. I do my best to get into town on time to eat there before they close. Also, once when I wasn’t going to make it, Eddie offered to fix me a plate and stay so I could pick it up. That is service right there!!!

Went to an «event» @ Eddie’s. Didn’t even know they existed. The party was served buffet style but the brisket & sausage was incredible. Potato salad, coleslaw & beans were just as wonderful. Will go back during lunch to try other menu items.

The very best BBQ in Lubbock and that says alot! Try the pork loin sandwich and tell Eddie you want it cold not heated. You will love it. The only problem is if you get this then you can’t get the slice beef. Well, I guess you can, but will your jeans still button? Fun location that can be rented as an event hall after hours. And Eddie will cater your next function. Some fishermen took him to the coast to cook for them. Yes, he’s that good. Only open at lunch on the weekdays. Way worth the drive.
