Food was sub-par, except for the steak. Salads were brownish and not too appetizing and one was sent back and taken off the ticket. Portions were small and my meal(lunch size, yes I know, of shrimp alfredo) looked like it was just thrown on the plate. Server was very nice and seemed like he had to deal with a sub-par kitchen/supplies. Manager seemed a little insincere when she came to and apologized for our food. We learned why it was near empty during lunch. Sad, because before the reno we were fans of Red Lobster. Hope they step it up soon!

Eh it’s decent, and it’s somewhat consistent, but nothing great at all. Went last night got oysters to start. I got crab, which was cold and didn’t break right. Something that was strange to me was that the salad was almost brown and one Caesar didn’t come with any Parmesan and the other did, I would just prefer a fresher salad with green lettuce.

Group of 4 went to dinner evening of February 25. After being seated, we ordered drinks, an appetizer, and then about 15 minutes later our meals. After a long wait the soup and salads were delivered, and I asked where the appetizer was. It was brought literally 15 seconds later, and then our entrees about 30 seconds later. Since all the food was delivered at once, there was no room on our tables for the food, the soups and some of the food was not hot. Probably a situation of an untrained waitress, and that certainly can happen and is understandable. However when the manager dropped by our table and we reported the experience, she took no action to try to rectify the situation like you would expect a good manager to do(comp an element or portion of the meal). I have never had a bad experience with a meal that a restaurant manager didn’t take action to please the customer, and that I do not understand.

If you have a large party, never eat here. We celebrated my aunts birthday here and it was the worst experience ever. Missing salads, burnt food and a manager more worried about the blood moon. We will not becoming back, which sucks, cause this is the only Red Lobster. What’s funny, is they said this was better service then last time, smh. Hopefully corporate will be made aware how bad this location is!

Red Lobster. This is the place in Lubbock to get some decently priced seafood. It isn’t a super fancy atmosphere. I would compare the atmosphere to Chili’s, it might be a little bit more quite than Chili’s. Their cheesy garlic biscuits come as a complimentary appetizer. They are so dangerously delicious. I have heard each one has around 160 calories. So, yeah, they aren’t great for you, but they are so yummy. In high school when my metabolism was much faster and my wallet was much smaller I would go with friends, order a side caesar salad and basically eat my weight in those cheesy dreamy biscuits. I asked for a French 75 with Titos Vodka. The barkeep wasn’t aware of the drink, but was super nice and asked me how to make it. He made it perfectly and didn’t over charge me. The only downside was the fact that I am pretty sure we didn’t have an assigned waiter. We didn’t get as much attention at our table as we needed and had around 3 scattered waiters come by each once to do something. It really didn’t ruin the meal because the food came out in good time. Both of our dishes were hot and yummy. I really was surprised by how delicious my alaskan snow crab was. My meal also came with small baby russet potatoes and scallops. The scallops were really small, but cooked well. The sauce is what really impressed me. A white wine butter with garlic and spices. It was perfectly warm and made everything taste amazing. Over all it was an enjoyable welcome back to Red Lobster. I see my self going once a year when I am really needing another cheesy biscuit.

We had dinner here about 6pm on a Saturday night. We waited about 40 minutes for a table. The host staff was kind and efficient, and the manager was running his legs off, but seemed calm under pressure. Our waitress was super kind and was quick in bringing out salsa and drinks. The food took a little while but I’m sure the kitchen was slammed. Every employee there was kind and had a smile. Our food was hot and flavorful. I’d certainly come back.

Family dinner started off fair. Got to the booth and I had to brush the food out of the booth as I scooted over(It was one of the long booths that seat about 8 – 10). The waiter was friendly and took our order. Another worker brought our food to the table. There were 4 of us and not a single plate was correct with what we ordered. The waiter had to go back and forth at least 8 times to get everything corrected. I ordered a salad with no cucumbers — it had cucumbers. Our appetizer did not have the mushrooms on a three choice appetizer. The side items were wrong on each plate. The manager finally came to the table and Eduardo tried his best to take care of the mess. We needed an order to go which was about another $ 45 and he comped that order. Eduardo went beyond the call of duty to take care of things. He personally took the order and delivered the order to make sure it was correct. I would give the waiter about a 2(just because he was polite) and the manager a 5 for taking care of what he could.

I received a salad with rotten tomatoes and lettuce. We had to repeatedly ask for biscuits. Garbage on the floors, napkins, food, etc. with waiters just stepping over it and going on with the day. Not impressed with my experience.

Thought we would give it a try. When you walk in the odor hits you. A smell of dirty old moldy socks. That was my first strike. It took the waiter 30 minutes to come and take our order and it wasn’t busy, strike 2. Took them an hour to bring our food, strike 3. Why did we stay after strike 3 must you say? Simply amusement of what else could go wrong of course. The food wasn’t very good and a number of items were missing from our order that we placed, strike 4. We had to tell the hostess we were ready for the check and the ticket was outrageous for the crap food, strike 5 and 6. The restrooms were filthy, strike 7. But hey if you like all of the above then knock yourself out and eat there.

This is my first time to ever write a bad review. This use to be our favorite restaurant. Silver ware was not just covered with water spots, it also felt dirty. Second set of silver ware, same thing. Finally the 3rd set came out unwrapped and wiped clean. Then the Manager came by and asked if everything was ok. We told him they need to check all their silver ware before wrapping it. I had to ask for lemons for my water 3 times. We were told we would get rolls as soon as fresh ones came out of the oven, always worth the wait. Never got the rolls. Was supposed to get mashed potatoes with the meal that was ordered, got a baked potato. Asked for tarter sauce twice before getting it. Went to the bathroom when we left and had no toilet paper in the stall I was in. Went to wash my hands and no soap at either sink. This would be funny, if it was not true. P.W.

I have several food allergies and have to order my fish with no seasoning. For two visits in a row, the kitchen has failed to follow the instructions. When they bring me another piece of fish, both times it has been raw. I was not willing to wait for a third try, and the manager on duty told us he was«here for us», what ever that means. We were not even offered a free dessert for our frustration. This restaurant is very poorly managed.

I would like to start off by saying that this was one of the best experience I’ve had at a Red lobster restaurant. My friend and I came in on July 29 two minutes before closing and was pleasantly greeted with a nice smile and able to get a seat with great service. We were both very surprised at how friendly our server Brian and the manager«big fish?» Was being that they were already closed and still gave us full service. We got seated right away, handed menus and received those awesome biscuits. I ordered Bar harbor lobster bake which was delicious. My friend had the Sea side shrimp trio. We also had ordered food to go which by the way«Big Fish» was so kind to come out and asked us when would we like for him to have the food cooked and ready to go. Took us by surprised. We are really easy going people that enjoyed the service that was given that night. Both the server and manager were so amazing I don’t mind driving two hours to eat here! Thank you guys. You were great!

Decent seafood. Cheddar biscuits are stellar. I ordered calamari as an appetizer, and we got a few small pieces of calamari, mixed with fried broccoli and peppers. Wtf?

The bisquits are what kept me going now that I can buy the mix at the grocery store I wont be back. The food is over priced for the amount you getn eat lots of free rolls or you’ll leave hungry. The wait staff is worthless. In all honesty the flavor of the food is always good but the staff will make it not worth it.

I was not pleased with Red Lobster in Lubbock. The restaurant has a displeasing Oder when you walk in. The food was lackluster and took over an hour. One star is for the cheerful waiter we had. The other is for the biscuits. I know there is not a lot to choose from when it comes seafood in Lubbock but this was ridiculous!

Red Lobster in Lubbock has gone seriously downhill. The waitstaff seems competent, however the problem is with the kitchen. I eat out almost every meal, however the last few years I have gone to Red Lobster in Lubbock only a handful of times because of how terrible the food is. My complaints are not directed toward the fact that most of the food here and at all of Darden’s chain restaurants is preportioned and frozen, that is fine this restaurant chain is what it is and I am not expecting anything more than an $ 8.00 an hour stoned cook to reheat some frozen fish and slap it on a plate. I eat at Red Lobster regularly when out of town as clients seem to like it, and the food is always much better than the slop in Lubbock. Just using tonight as an example the lobster was dry(maybe sitting in a salamander or on a broken steam tray too long?) all of the fish is rubbery(how this happens I can not even attempt to guess) and even the shrimp that comes prebreaded is obviously fried in batches and hangs around till it is used. This is by no means a new experience as I have tried most things on the menu from the most popular lobster/shrimp/scallop plates to the probably lesser ordered items like shrimp nachos and lobster pizza in hopes of finding anything edible at all, however I can honestly not find anything at this Lubbock restaurant that is not awful. I worked in restaurants through high school and college and can not believe that the manager does not get onto the staff. The cooks hang out the side of the restaurant lounging around on the sidewalk smoking and cussing loudly as diners walk by… this is not one time, but every time and even when there is a mini rush going on there will be cooks just hanging out in the parking lot sitting on the sidewalk — this looks so unprofessional. The hostesses are just what you would expect with lax management as they text or talk on their cell phones at the hostess booth and wear clothes that have not been washed in weeks, I guess part of their side work must be cleaning grease pits and batter troughs because they look dirty. Overall this place seems dirty, from the trash on the floor which no one bothers to bissel to the restrooms that smell like an outhouse with broken soap dispensers and paper towels overflowing the trash can early in the evening on a weekday, you can tell that cleanliness is not a big concern… could you imagine what the kitchen looks like?

Red Lobster is always delicious! Another positive experience today. Waiter forgot to bring potato fixings, so brought another hot potato when mistake was realized. Clean restrooms, however only one stall in the women’s, really? A little pricey, but always a pleasant experience.

I almost feel obligated to give five stars, though they would probably get 4 stars normally, after reading the review from Christian T. in which he blames them for a mentally handicapped person yelling in the restaurant. It seems kinda crappy that Red Lobster gets blamed for encouraging everybody to eat at there restaurant. I love sea food and it is hard to find great places in Lubbock. With that said, Red Lobster is about as good as you can find. While Rockfish and Jazz at times are better, all three even out in the long run. I haven’t had stellar service, but I also haven’t had terrible service either. It has always been good but not great. The food is always reliable so that helps to make up for some inefficiencies in service. As long as a mentally handicap(or a mentally normal person for that matter) doesn’t stick there finger in my bisque I will not fault, blame, or look down on them for eating next to me. If you’re in the neighborhood, RL is about as good as you’re going to get.
