My favorite here is the chicken and waffles! But what makes this place stand out is the service. Almost always do they have super friendly and courteous staff.

Love the 5&5 All the sauces are wonderful but the Cayenne Ranch is my favorite with Mango Habanero Wings. Fries are always hot and fresh and kill the heat of the wing with Raspberry Ice tea. only thing I dont like there is the Toast.

Prefer both Raising Canes and Chicken Express(and KFC, for that matter) to Slim Chicken. All of the aforementioned beat Slim in taste, portion sizes and cost. I believe Slim Chicken is the highest 3-piece fast food chicken tender meal in town.

I have tried this place twice with the same results. The staff is friendly, the quantity is impressive for the price. The chicken is delicious and the cajun ranch is awesome. However the grease or something they use to cook with does not agree with me. So if you are sensitive to fried foods I do not recommend this place. If you have a rock solid gut then hit this place up. The flavor is phenominal.

Between Cane’s and Slim Chickens, I prefer Slim Chickens(except for Cane’s Texas Toast. There is no contest between their toasts). There’s more to choose from so there’s more that appeals to everyone and the oil the food is cooked in is better or fresher than at Cane’s. I usually order the kid’s meal at Cane’s plus a Texas Toast, so the 3 count chicken strips from Slim Chickens gives me way more than I can finish. Although, I will say that it’s slightly more expensive. I think if you want something predominantly chicken, really breaded, super fried, and very buttery, you should go for Cane’s. If you want something cooked fresh, not so greasy, and with more options, then you should go for Slim Chickens. It’s really up to your preference. They charge for large drinks because you’re paying for the large, reusable cup rather than the amount of drink. The only issue I have with Slim Chickens is that I always have to say that I want my fries well done and crispy.

This is a chain I had never heard of. Wanted some chicken so thought I would try it. This is really good. Had the 3 chicken tenders that came with one side, toast and med. drink. I chose the fries which are very good. I got the slim dipping sauce which is kind of like catsup and mustard and sugar mixed together. It is sweet. They have a whole lot of other sauces also. Someone said the toast was not good however I thought it was good. I recommend this restaurant.

I really enjoy Slim Chickens. My go-to is their buffalo blues salad, which is big enough(for me) to make a meal. The drive-thru line moves quickly, and the one time I went inside, the dining area was clean and had good music playing. It’s a bit pricey, I think, but I also feel like its a nice alternative to other fast food chains if you don’t want tacos or burgers.

This place has become my go-to fried chicken place. I normally get a slims plate and enjoy it. What really set this place over the top is the option to have your tenders tossed in a wing sauce. This adds so many new flavor options and makes the chicken much better and comparable to sit down restaurant quality chicken. You also get a cup you can take home for 25cents extra. Only complaint is the toast, it is really bad.

This was my first visit to this restaurant. I thought the food was good but I have a couple of concerns, one is that they didn’t need to throw a pile of french fries in with the chicken wrap. The second concern is that I was charged $ 2.25 for a large icewater, which is completely ridiculous. Could’ve easily scored 4 stars in my book, but the two dollar icewater really held it to three stars for me. Overall the chicken wrap that I ordered was very tasty.

Chicken and waffles are like whoa! A little pricey, but tasted really good. Not to mention the waffle was in the shape of Texas, so yeah.

The food portions are still incredibly small, but this time the manager, Randy, made us feel super welcome and treated us like valued customers! Randy even changed my side from fries to slaw after I ordered which was awesome. Small portions but great service this time!

I enjoyed Slim Chickens. I ordered the chicken and waffles and was really pleased. It was a yummy meal, and I loved their dipping sauces, especially the cayenne ranch. The staff was friendly and the place was really clean. I would go back!

We have eaten here twice, and have yet to be impressed. Chicken strips are ordinary… if your sign says they are«life changing» you may want to be able to back it up, or at least have something different from everyone else. I had a salad on opening day. Some brown lettuce in it was pretty disappointing. I had a wrap the next visit… again, poorly put together and nothing special. The family said pretty much the same thing about their meals, too. Dropping $ 60 a pop for drive thru food that is just average at best? No thanks!

Definitely not worth it. I ordered a chicken strip meal and was not pleased. I got three chicken strips about the size of my finger(I’m 5’2). Not only that but my fries weren’t even hot. I would of given it one star but the cup was pretty cool, so it accounts for another star… boo. And if it’s chicken strips you want, stick to raising Cains.

Did not like my meal. Ended up throwing it away and eating a sandwich. The frys where dry hard. My tortilla on my wrap was hard and missing the lettuce that was suppose to be on the wrap.

3 in our group of 4 ordered chicken and waffles. They all said the waffles were better than the chicken strips. It’s a fast food chicken strip restaurant, that’s it. It was clean and fast. The chicken strips seem pre frozen and there’s nothing special about them.

Slim Chicken opened in Lubbock in December 2014. This restaurant is along the same theme as Raisin Canes. They pretty much only do chicken. Chicken tenders, chicken wings etc. They also had chicken and waffles that looked pretty good. Everything was fresh and hot. There is a good selection of sauces and wing flavors. The tenders are good, but are not as good as Raisin Canes. The only real negative is that you walk out of there smelling like you have been frying chicken all day. Give it a try.

Brand new chicken house right here in Lubbock texas. Ran by the place and got an order to go… ordered 10 wings hot(they are the smallest and cutest little wings i have ever seen) and 10 chicken strips. Got home opened the order and we’re only given 9 of each. The tab was 52 bucks. which included the chicken an order of fried mushrooms… 6 bucks. a small slaw 2 bucks… a large mac n cheese. 6 bucks. left out of the order completely and an order of celery and carrots. of which you get 4… 3 inch long pieces of celery and 4 baby carrots out of a bag for 2.29. According to the Mgr this serving size is a company standard. Only being open a couple of weeks might be the issue. The shrooms were really good. the wings 10 for 10 bucks ordered(hot) are just shy of mediocre at best. The strips 10 for 13 bucks are a little different than normal… similar to Chick-fil-A breading but deep fried and therefore on the dryer side. The desert was good and packaged cleverly in a mason jar. It’s chopped up cheese cake or brownie served in a jar with some whipped cream added… 5 bucks each but hey. you get a jar. Just imop…
