I would have to agree with previous reviews in saying this seems American style Chinese take out. Every ingredient is very fresh but a tad bit bland in my opinion. I have a pet peeve when ordering Chinese food and asking for spicy, I want Atleast a little bit of spice level in my dish. I ordered the sezchuan beef«spicy» absolutely no spice at all. With that said it was a nice dish, just not memorable. I’m also a huge fan of hot and sour soup and almost always order it when eating Chinese food. This one was good but did seem to have an oily film on top, almost tasted like peanut oil. Overall it was a good meal and I would order from here again, I just may try some others in the area first.

Great food! My husband keeps on saying«it reminds me of Chinatown», and he is from NYC. Order the crispy beef and shrimp chow fun… delicious!

Best Chinese food in Lutz in my opinion. The workers are great. The food is always consistent. I love their egg rolls!

This restaurant used to be great, but the change in ownership brought the quality way down in my opinion. Last year, I would’ve given this small Chinese restaurant 5 stars. On our recent visit, we picked up dinner. We got General Tsos chicken, shrimp and lobster sauce and chicken chow mein. The flavors were bland and the quality of the meats and seafood almost made them inedible. Hopefully, the new owners will come around and bring this place back up to the caliber they were at. Great location, but I won’t be back until changes are made.

Usually go for lunch special if driving by. They have good quality basic Chinese food. Nothing over the top but basics like General Tsos, Szechuan chicken and Kung poa chicken are some of my favorites the rice is inconsistent so i tend to pay a dollar more for lo mein. I also like the chicken broccoli with spicy brown sauce. Better then others in the area.

I get the same thing every time — general Tso’s, lo mein and egg foo yung. This food is consistent and delicious. To me this is the American version of Chinese food done very well and it’s a solid choice plain and simple.

Yes the girl who answers the phone is not great. And yes their delivery time leaves much to be desired. And they are very expensive compared to other Chinese restaurants. But they are not like other Chinese restaurants. Their food is above par and I continue to go back because I appreciate the great food that I cannot get at other Chinese restaurants. I’ve never dined in but every dish I’ve ordered has been exceptional. I am never disappointed with their food. When the girl that answers the phones matures into adulthood, and they get their stuff together a little bit in the operation realm, they will be 5 Stars across the board. I’m still going back for that great food!!!

The Moo Shu came with flour tortillas, was flavorless, and had fried stuff in it. Everything else was pretty disappointing. Over priced and flavorless. Very disappointed.

Below average Chinese although the general Tsos was good I would not get the egg rolls. They are not good at all

The food is just ok. The service is terrible and the fact that they charge an additional $ 3 service fee for using a credit card and don’t tell you about it until the transaction is over is deplorable. The explanation I was given was that they have to charge because the credit card company charges them; well, every other restaurant I’ve been to factors that into the cost of doing business. We will not be returning.

Ordered delivery, the girl who answered the phone was uninformed on the menu and very rude. My order was taken wrong and when she read it back to me I corrected her. It still came wrong and when I called to inform them she told the managers that I didn’t order correctly or correct her when she read it back(they all argued while I was on the phone and not on hold or mute). The manager hardly listened to me at all, I had to really push to even get a full sentence out. She finally agreed to take care of it. The food was less than mediocre, especially for the price. We will definitely be sticking with House of China.

We just ate here for the first time and it was delish. The order was ready when they said it would be. I got the Orange peel chicken and hubby got the sesame chicken. I think what makes this place good, at least as far as how the chicken dishes compare to other places, is that the pieces are lightly fried and crunchy on the outside without relying on tons of batter to get that crunch. So it tastes fresh with not a ton of greasy breading. The fried rice was similar… It didn’t leave a oily feel/taste on your lips. The egg rolls were great. I am not always an egg roll fan but these were good! I recommend for sure.

No Happy Chinese New Year here! last night we had a terrible time here. To start its new Year and if you have a person behind the counter to represent your business you may clue her in on the occasion. The young girl who took the order over the phone was barely helpful. She told me fifteen minutes for the order I gave them thirty and when I walked in she told me we had to wait! Not a good sign. I asked what was going on for new Year and her relpy«I don’t know». I picked up the new menu and noticed two free soda with any order over $ 40-well my bill was $ 55.61 for the cold, flavorless food i brought home to tossout! Eggrolls were soggy and under done, Hunan beef had no spice or flavor, the tofu with veggies was greasy brown liquid with green peers and onions. The two soups were cold and tasteless. The owner wandered by as I was at the counter to pick up and I asked her about New Year special-maybe some donuts I am thinking – she also directed me to ther two free sodas as well. So i suggest you skip this place since they have a new menu and perhaps a new chef that has much to leart about quality cooking. We threw the menu away and will not be back.

Ordered takeout today and the Thai tea was delish! Not too sweet, not to bland. I also ordered the pepper steak with pork fried rice and this is true authentic fried rice! Not like the other chinese restaurants in the area who serve yellow rice and call it fried SMDH. I asked for extra seasoning because I have a strong palate and boy did they come through! I love them and will be back since I live like 3 – 4 mins away.

This shopping center on North Dale Mabry, just over the Lutz city line, on the West side of the street, has some amazing restaurants and stores. I think this plaza is best known for being where Home Goods is located. As a serious foodie and wine drinker, I can seriously say there are 3 dynamite restaurants in this little plazza and a few more that are truly good eats. I had waited at a doctors appointment far too long and had missed lunch. I was starving and was tempted to go to one of the restaurants I knew & loved, but being a true UnilocalER, I decided to try the New Beijing. I had an egg rools and a bowl of phở. The egg rools were light, crispy, fresh and packed with vibrant and mouthwatering flavors. It was served with the hot mustard and the marmalade, but I prefer a bit of soy sace. The Phở, was served piping hot, on a bed of noodles. The noodles were not homemade, but the depth of flavor in the broth, was outstanding. This was defiantly homemade and time and love were put into building the depth of flavor in the soup. My friend had the house fried rice. Once again, my pet peeve, why no brown rice? Anyway the dish was plentiful, and tasted quite good. It had a wide assortment of ingredients and spices that melded well together. you can tell their menu and dishes are cohesive and have a well thought out flavor profile. What’s a girl to do? Keep trying new restaurants and getting great new taste experiences.

We get take-out or delivery from here when we are visiting my in-laws. Three words for you: Orange. Peel. Beef. You can thank me later. I am also a big fan of their hot and sour soup. This place is above average for take-out Chinese food, and the staff is friendly if you feel like staying.

Update to the initial review below, we both got food poisoning and are still suffering through it this morning. Changed review from 5 stars to 1 star. Really good food! We had given up on Chinese delivery. Every place we tried either started out bad or got bad over time. It had been a long time since we tried to order Chinese. What a pleasant surprise! Every dish was excellent and WAY better than any other place we have ordered from. We ordered the chicken in black bean sauce, massamun curry with chicken, crispy sesame beef, and crab rangoons. Each dish was unique and delicious! Even the crab rangoons were better than other places, they were triangle pouches instead of the wonton shape… easier to eat and so tasty!

The food was so good. My husband is a self-proclaimed«Chinese food critic». Food was awesome. We shared the Krab ragoon. I had the beef Phở and my husband had the General Tso. He said it was the best he has had since moving from NH.

Around this community, this is American style Chinese food. We have the house special crispy fish and Yu-Shang four treasures. The food is fresh, if you like the authentic Chinese food, this is not the restaurant. Food quantity is sufficient. The set up of the restaurant is modern compare to typical Chinese restaurant. Price is acceptable. The food did not give me a wow factor. Service is above average.

I finally went inside for some take out. I’m always getting take out from mr. Empanada, a few doors down. I am so glad that I have this place a chance. It’s about 10 miles from my home, but it’s well worth it. You can see and taste the superior cooking here, larger shrimp that’s cooked, not the cheap boiled shrimp that’s generic to most Chinese restaurants. The shrimp with lobster sauce is the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve spent years in Hong Kong so I know Chinese food. The only thing I did not care for was the sauce for the egg foo young. The only place that had a great sauce was wing fong in north Bergen, Nj. As the other items are so good I can overlook that flaw. In addition the two ladies behind the counter are so sweet, always smiling! As I’ve been there 3 times so far, it will take me a while to go through the entire menu. Next time I will dine in as they have a nice dining room too. I took away a star because of their spare ribs and the fried dumplings, both seemed to be below standards.
