The Vine is located on dale mabry and Van dyke road. We sat outside with the fire pit. Atmosphere was tremendous. We had wine and appetizers. Service was magnificent and very attentive. There was a live singer and set the mood perfectly. Music was at perfect level. There is plenty of parking since the strip mall stores close early. Food was delicious and I will definitely be returning.

I live around the corner from this place and passed it a million times. It always had a crowd whenever passing but then it was on Dirty Dining and was closed. I figure the best time to go is when they reopened since it will be super clean. The staff is extremely friendly and our server Francis was on point. For $ 25.00 they offer a huge selection of food. You can choose from many breakfast items, omelette station, prime rib station, several seafood items including crab legs, and a dessert station. Everything I ate was very good but the crab legs were very salty. The $ 25.00 also includes AYCD mimosas, bloody Mary’s, and any vodka drinks(except for shots)!!! The best thing was they never rushed us, always made sure we had a full drink, and told us when they were closing the food down. We will definitely be back on our monthly gathering!!!

Just«ok». Went here for date night with my partner, who had been there once previously for a family gathering. It was way too dark in there, why do the lights need to be so dim? They had a singer performing that night, while she had a beautiful voice, she was way TOOLOUD and we were sitting in the back of the restaurant. She performed most songs twice and the choice of songs were odd… a lot of sad, emotional songs… on a FRIDAY night. We wanted to hear some upbeat, happy music not«I’m ready to start crying any moment» songs. Food was pretty good, but after seeing that this place was shut down last fall for health code violations makes me weary… I’d think about coming again on a different night, but I’m definitely in no rush to come back soon.

When we ordered the soup it was really small and we didn’t want to say anything. But the waitress saw our disappointed faces and got us more soup. We were very please! Great service!

Came here today for brunch, and were severely disappointed. Everything was very picked over, there was no carving station, no omelet station, and virtually no hot food to be had on the buffet. A few measly cold pieces of French toast, cold broken pieces of bacon, very little fruit selection, and no salad or veggies to be had. No breakfast potatoes either. We arrived with over 2 hours of brunch left so there was no excuse for such a lack of new food to be put out. Such a let down, as we have been here for brunch twice before and really enjoyed ourselves. Not sure if today was just an off day, but I’m not likely to come back any time soon. At least my bloody Mary’s were strong and included in the price. I seriously pity any walking in after us, as they will have even LESS to choose from! The only reason they are getting two stars is because the last two visits have been positive experiences. You need to step it up Vine. I don’t write many reviews but this was just unacceptable.

I went out with friends on a Sunday evening for a special occasion and we were looking for a place that had the right ambiance. This place had the atmosphere, but they completely messed up the food order for our entire table and they almost made someone in our party with a severe food allergy very sick with their screw up.(We told our waitress repeatedly about the allergy and she clearly understood it, but for the record it wasn’t her fault, the kitchen staff screwed it up by not paying attention to the allergy note on the ticket). As if that wasn’t bad enough, our waitress took the allergy plate away and asked the kitchen staff to fix the mistake, but the new dish they brought contained the same allergy ingredient mixed in among the new food and it was discovered later after only 2 or 3 bites. Not wanting to make a scene, but clearly upset and concerned about getting ill, the person in our party decided it would be best not to eat it at all. Cross contamination aside(and very nearly a hospital visit) our food was bland and uninteresting — it lacked depth and character and the pasta was overly chewy and undercooked. Needless to say, we will never go back. The whole experience was very disappointing. Getting someone with an allergy potentially sick not once, but twice is reason enough in my book to close their doors. For such an expensive restaurant, I expected better on all levels. Note to the Manager: tell your kitchen staff to pay close attention to the order tickets, especially the allergy notes and for goodness sakes get someone to clean the restroom once in a while.

I’ve been coming here since they opened. It’s such a convenient location. They are always very accommodating. The staff here is top notch! The food is always fresh and made with quality ingredients. This is definitely a Sunday brunch favorite! They have a full bar and the drinks are exceptional. I highly recommend this place to anyone who favors great service and fantastic food. They never disappoint.

Wanted to like this place after my last review. Considering we live next to this restaurant went over the weekend same basic Italian menu we had our last visit. Food was edible but not worth paying for you go out to enjoy a meal not to eat something you could cook better. Then a neighbor of ours told us about health code problems they have had and we will never be back. I don’t want to post bad things about independent restaurants but when thinks slip so bad has my first times at the vine to them being shutdown. That’s red flags all over. Ashamed I rather support corporate then this establishment. Lutz needs better restaurants!

Sadly, due to the health dept closing this establishment and the news stations following up when they reopened to the public and they saw it for themselves, I will never try it. I wanted to so badly too because it looks like it had great reviews. I prefer to eat at home where there are no roaches.

This place is disgusting. So disgusting that the health department shut them down for having over 20 violations. Don’t take my word for it. or you can read the violations from the health department here.

This place is amazing. The service was top notch the food is some of the best around. When the owner«Dom» found out this was our first visit he took the time on a busy Friday night to invite us into the wine room for a private tasting and to introduce himself. This will definitely be a regular stop.

The Vine provides inside and outside sitting. We were here with friends after the Flight Festival since they are close at 2 in the morning. But the main menu kitchen close at 10:30. We were sitting outside and fortunately no one is smoking that night. The Vine is a wine bar and restaurant. The inside provide live music for customers who enjoy a glass of their choice. It is very spacious restaurant in north Dale Mabry. We have ordered the braised short rib and the grilled chop veal. The veal is with bone and it is one inch thick. The meat is cook to the order. There is some tendon near the bone area. The short rib is braise and it is in red wine sauce. I think they need to braised it a bit longer for folk tender. The sauce can be caramelized a little bit to make it nicer to appreciate. Overall the restaurant is great to enjoy with good service. The restaurant is well decorated except they have a share rest room with the restaurant next door.

The vine is at North Lutz, in the same plaza as Publix and LA fitness. We sat at outside patio area which was nice if no one smoking there. Some bread and cheese were served while we waiting for our dishes. I had grill veal entrée. The César salad was average. The veal was a thick piece accompany by mash potato and some spinach. The flavor was good and the the meat was cooked right. Inside the restaurant, there were bar, live music, good decoration. Guests seemed enjoyed the night hanging out.

Since my last visit, I went back this time to try their dinner. I sat outside since last time I thought it was too dark. I did like it better, and was happy I can have my dog with me. Our service was good. We had a really nice male server who didn’t mind coming outside to check on us. He was great. I ordered the braised short rib and eggplant rollatini to share with my hubby. They were both okay to me. Braised short rib was definitely tender, but the flavor was not as vibrant as I have had at other places. Eggplant rollatini is basically another way of saying eggplant parmagiana. With that being the case, I have had better. Therefore, this place is just okay to me. I did see a lot of people sitting around the bar inside drinking. Maybe they are better for wine and drinks. They do have happy hour during the week with some basic $ 5 specials.

Is a small bar-restaurant in Lutz. Great ambience outside or inside at the bar or a table in the restaurant. Great selection of wines, liquor and cocktails and very tasty appetizers.

After searching our neighborhood for a new restaurant for our date, I stumbled upon The Vine. I checked out their website and then made sure to call and book a table, based on their website’s pictures of the dishes they serve. Imagine my disappointment after seeing beautiful dishes on their website, when we arrived at The Vine and were seated, only to be told that it was a buffet. Even more so, because when I booked, I told the lady that it would be our first time at The Vine and that we were looking forward to trying out the delicious dishes that we’d seen on their site. Seriously, throw me a bone and don’t let me gush about food that I can’t eat… Hungry me doesn’t appreciate that. The buffet was nothing outstanding, though I do liked they served Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s with it. And it was extremely pricey for two people, even with Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas included. We went, we saw, we didn’t like it.

I have heard about the Vine and have a friend that frequents a different location. Late afternoon, after a very long day, and several stops yet to make, a glass or 2 of wine, sounded like exactly what I needed. I am a bar perso and by choice and usually choose to drink and/or eat at the bar rather than a table or booth. This establishment is a bit out of the way for me, just North on Dale Mabry, South of Van Dyke, on the West side of the street. It is just over the Lutz zoning line, so you are not in Pasco County. It is located in a shopping mall, that just happens to have some really good stores and restaurants. As I walked in I was captured by the low key, yet upscale ambiance of the establishment. I know I read the reviews about a good place for date night and I totally agree. On the other hand, I also feel that it is a great place to stop and chillax, unwind, regroup and relax with your choice of vino. On this particular early evening/late afternoon, the temp return was quickly falling outside, to be the coldest night of the year, so far, here in Tampa. The bartender was terrific and made several suggestion for a nice dry red wine, I was even able to sample a few, as it should be in an establishment that specializes in craft beers or fine wines. I asked about specials, perused the menu, while sipping my first glass of a very full bodied Merlote. There were some Happy Hour items and the menu looked absolutely tantalizing. I really wanted to order something to nibble on, but it just didn’t fit with the plans I had for latter… bummed. LOL, I wasn’t bumble for long, besides the bartender going out of ther way to make my first experience at the Vine exceptional, I realized I had some fellow enthusiasts at the bar. It started out with light, polite & intelligent conversation and I think by the time I left, World Peace and water purity issues had been resolved. I had a great time & it was exactly the afternoon release I was seeking and it exceeded all expectations I had when I entered. BRAVO To the Vine, thank you for a delightful respite in my busy day. I came for the wine, but stayed not only because the wine was magnificent, the surroundings had a cool, but relaxed vibe, service was spot on and the patrons were a total joy. I shall return! My next visit is of course based partially on my initial, exceptional experience, but I have to try the food, with some wine pairings. Yes, I belive all things in moderation, even though I am quite sure the 2 glasses of wine, I had squeezed into my schedule got extended by extra glasses and additional time, that was scheduled to finish my life duties. What’s a girl to do? Life duties extend to new experiences, new friends and of course good wines!

The atmosphere of the vine is absolutely perfect for date night. I had the Sunday brunch, and plus drinks(which were perfect). It was my first time there and I honestly had no complaints. I met the owner and manager and all very kind people. The place is beautiful and the menu looks absolutely appealing. I can’t wait to go back.

My wife and I stopped into the Vine to relax and have a few libations. The Vine is in a shopping center which makes the parking easy. We were greeted by the hostess who offered us indoor or outdoor seating. We chose to sit outside and sat on a cushioned couch in the corner of the patio. Nice background music that was just loud enough, the right amount of lighting, and an overall relaxed atmosphere outside. Our server was friendly, helpful, and attentive. We ordered wine and blueberry martinis to drink and both were perfect. We weren’t in the mood for a full meal so we ordered a few appetizers which were all very tasty. The Vine is a great place and a good pick for a date night. It is a little bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for and this place is worth it. We will defintely be back.

Great and fun place for date night. We shared a few items from the menu. Cioppino appetizer– very good with a kick to it. Had 2 – 3 shrimp, 1 scallop sliced and some mussels. Short rib appetizer– very good. Grilled veggies side– light and tasty Special risotto of the day– this was our least favorite dish of the night and we were surprised that it was $ 24, as we were under the impression we were ordering an appetizer. We wouldn’t order this again.(Not because of the price. We just didn’t care for the dish before we saw the price) Drinks were great, too. Hubby had beers on tap and I tried the cinnamon crunch martini, which was sweet, but good.
