I’ve always liked Pak n Save, but my last visit was terrible. I had two coupons for coffee and cookies, I handed both to Mark at the register, who by the way never greeted us and was just mumbling/humming the entire time, never spoke to us. I paid and checked my receipt, the coupon for the coffee was not applied. I went back to Mark and explained to him, he walks away to his register, again without saying a word and is looking for the coupon and delivers a heavy sigh and says, «this happens when you…» and he didn’t finish his sentence, just concluded by saying, «never mind.» He gave me the difference and just said, «here you go.» I don’t know if he was having a bad day or what. No apologies, no greeting, he made me feel as if I was intruding and annoying him when I pointed out HIS oversight. This is why I rather go to Save Mart, all employees there make the trip to grocery store better, all smiles and always helpful. Not Pak n Save, at least not Mark.

Regularly shop here weekly. I use the jus4u coupons online and save money & get gas rewards I use at chevron & safeway gas stations. The cashiers and management know me here from shopping here so much. They are always friendly. Prices are decent, sometimes I get free things with my jus4u coupons or good deals in general. The store is clean. Fridays & holidays can be pretty busy. I will always shop here as long as I live here.

The meat is way overpriced for the quality.

I’ve always like Pak n Save ever since I moved back to Madera in 2009. Like all places however there are some flaws. One is that they don’t have enough organic foods, and when they do have them they don’t have them for to long. Prime example was I used to by organic grated cheese in a big bag and now they don’t have it anymore. That happens a lot!!! I could also go without the old cashier guy whistling(I HATETHAT) while he’s scanning my items. Other than that it’s a great store, one time my Mother was looking for an actual horse radish root. She asked and they didn’t have it but the following week they had it, they ordered it specially for her. So overall I feel this is a great place to shop for food.

Just got back from the grocery store. The clerks are always very nice. Jerry and the other cashiers always go out of their way to give stickers to my kids and ask about them when I come in alone. Shelves are well stocked, store is clean. I’ve never seen any wild life in the store as opposed to the place across the street.

I like this store. Usually find everything I need and I get kind customer service unlike most places in town they avoid eye contact or conversation. Even a simple hello is nice.

This place has been around forever. I was visiting the area awhile ago and needed turkey sausage, the hubby called and they found it for him, set some aside, and had it ready for him when he picked it up. It use to be kind of dirty and gross about 11 years ago. They have made some improvements since then. It was nicer, and yes, many items were less expensive than food 4 less. The checkout was quick and the store was not busy. People were helpful and nice, and not one person talked to us weird or rude or in a funny accent nor did they act snobby like they just graduated from a nursing and medical college and were better than you, it was awesome!

Typical grocery store. Its a Safeway branch. Has decent selection of everything. Reasonably good prices. No canoli shells, no canoli, no one even knew what canoli was. A little disappointing, but oh well. Rather come here than the Food4Less across the street, because believe it or not, the prices are LOWER than Food4Less!!!(and better quality I’m sure)
