Excellent hamburgers. Tasty sides, especially the haystack onions and the sweet potato fries. For our family, best hamburgers in the North Alabama area.

We visited when they first opened and really liked it. We came back today since we were in the area and were very disappointed. There were only a handful of clean tables despite the fact they were pretty slow at the time. One out of three of our orders was wrong. They corrected it quickly but it was disappointing. Also there was a huge rip in the booth seat. It was dis colored bad enough to show it’s been like that for a long while.

Best burger bar none! Yes I said it… California Burger is my fav with their rosemary fries… FYI… You will be grubbing Ladies, this is not a good first date joint kinda place… Can’t help but inhale it! It really is that good!

I have always hated hamburgers. One day I found out I was a bit anemic and so I had to pretty much force myself to eat beef. I tried this place first, and I’m so glad I did. The bbq, bacon, and cheddar is what I got and I was in love from the first bite! It actually didn’t remind me of the other burgers I’ve had and hated. There were no gristles and the flavor was definitely there!

Love this place. Employees have a great attitude and it’s always clean. Don’t forget to «check in» for the free side. Had the bacon cheese burger and it was hot and juicy. Our favorite family burger joint.

Eh. Mediocre.
I got the avocado burger, and the meat itself wasn’t great. Kinda dry and not so tasty. My husband got h Spicy jalapeño Baja burger. It was basically a dry price of meat, huge piece of lettuce, 2 little slices of raw jalapeño and store bought Baja sauce.
We also got the kids chicken fingers and the kids Smash burger. Both of those were pretty good.
Not what I expected for $ 30 though.

Just have it first time，i ordered a BBQ bacon and CHeddar burger, I love it! the bread is with some corn flour, I think. THe tast is so good, I think it’s the best burger I ever have! Even a little better than five guys! THe staffs their are kind and polit! I will go back to their often!

Absolutely awful!
Worst service I have ever experienced. Went to order, took 15 mins for the food to be ready. Drove home, wrong burger. Called to let them know to get our new burgers ready so I could pick up and go. Got there, wrong burger again!!!
Then they tell me their grilled chicken is frozen so I have to wait. It took an hour and half to get out food. Do not visit this place. We will not be coming back.
Disgraceful.

Love this place! They are my FAVORITE burger in North Alabama! (Smash sauce is soooo delicious!!) And the Sweet Potato SmashFries are worth the drive from anywhere!
Fast service, always friendly team (especially Walker– he always has a warm welcome for guests and a smile as soon as you walk in)

First time here and i did enjoy the burger. It was very juicy and not dry at all. I also had the smash fries and they were pretty good. For 2 burgers, 1 order of fries and 2 drinks, we paid $ 19 which isnt bad at all.
I had the avocado club and it really was delicious. The restaurant was nice and clean and the staff was very nice and friendly. Loved the décor of the place. I would recommend this place for someone visiting the Huntsville area. I will definitely try again the next time I’m in Huntsville

Overpriced burgers and shoe string fries. My burger was so greasy I immediately went home and bathed. Ironically, I love what I call a nasty good burger, but what I had there was disgusting. My mom enjoyed the sweet potato fries, but that’s the nicest thing I can say. The service was typical… teenagers that make it very clear they would rather be anywhere else. Atmosphere is nothing special. I wouldn’t recommend it to any one nor will I ever return. I’d rather eat cheap ramen than eat there again.

Our party of four ate here on Sunday evening. Food and service exceeded my expectation.
My friend later tells me that a milkshake here is large enough to be a meal in itself. I’ll want to come back to try one.

Hubby and I really enjoy coming here… We always make it a point to utilize the «check in offer» as well. I love the Classic Smash and Nutter Butter shake. Hubby loves their Cajun fries.

First time eating at Smashburger. At first things were looking very good. I got the original Smash with smash fries, my son a plain cheeseburger and the wife a crispy chicken with bacon and avacoado. First bite of the burger and smash fries was good, but as I continued on the burger started to lose its appeal. The problem, IMO, far too much salt in everything they make. I tried my sons burger and my wife’s chicken sandwich, same issue and we all agreed, everything was too salty and it diminished the quality of the food. The smashfries were ok, I liked the uniqueness of them, but they were much too greasy for my personal taste. All in all, 2.5 stars probably would have just about right. I won’t rush back. Worth a try I guess, but overall just underwhelming and a bit disappointing.

SmashBurger… more like TrashBurger. I don’t think they grasp the concept of what a veggie burger is. Burger King got it right, so it gave me false hopes that a craft burger place would at least produce a palatable product. The actual «burger» patty was just a smash of black bean paste in the poor form of a disk, which extruded out the sides of the bun. Because all it was, was black bean mash. Imagine eating a burger made out of mashed potatoes. The toppings would have been a great compliment on an otherwise well formed veggie patty. We ordered both the regular fries and the smash fries. Shoestring, which wasn’t terrible. But the smash fries were literally drenched in oil and topped with rosemary. They were not good. The only thing they need to improve upon is a better quality veggie patty and maybe save the black bean mash as a topping instead.

I was actually shocked by how overrated this place can be. I got a regular burger with fries and a drink. It was over $ 10. The burger was pretty decent, was not a fan of the shoe string fries they have.
I took my grandfather here since a lot of times we go to Five Guys on Enterprise, he loves their fresh cut fries. He thought Smashburger was awful in comparison to Five Guys, that is his opinion.
I loved the décor of the place though, it made me think I was back in Charlotte, North Carolina for some reason.

My wife and I love this place. We eat paleo, so it’s great to have a burger joint that will take the bun off without looking at us weird. Their veggie frites are also a welcome french fry replacement. And on the occasional cheat day, their Haagen Dazs milk shakes are a wonderful treat.
We eat there so much they know us by name.
