Ive been getting my hair cut here for over 10 years. Donna is the best– she knows exactly what I want and gives me recommendations when I get bored with my hair. Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming. I have really long, thick hair and other places charge me $ 70 for a haircut. I save so much money going to lemon tree and love my hair every time!

I’m not happy with my haircut at this place. I had two recommendations to go there and both of them had gotten really good hair cuts.
My hair does now look like I have hair extensions in it even though it’s my natural long hair! Going to knotz tomorrow to cut it all in the same short length…
Staff is not very friendly, place doesn’t look very welcoming either.

This place has such a negative attitude. I thought the idea for a business is to retain customers and make sure they come back. I’ve been here three times and made appointments for all three. Each time, I was greeted by unenthusiastic professionals that seem like they’re too bothered to do their job. Moreover, I’ve been asked to wait while a walk in customer is granted full service. The third time was the last as I had an appointment but my hair stylist said that I wouldn’t be able to have shampoo or blow dry because they overbooked. What is the point of an appointment???
Management needs to step up their game or at least have employees look that look pleasant. It’s the cheapest place for a haircut, but it’s NOT worth it for the service.

Taylor is hands down the BEST! I’ve been back nearly every month and EVERY style and cut and color has been absolutely amazing! Ever since I moved back to NY and discovered this amazing kick ass stylist just minutes from me I haven’t been to another stylist since! No more treks to Manhattan and no more having to have some random stylist do my hair for a show anymore! I’d always end up with these crazy ridiculous styles at expensive places that didn’t even have a clue what to do they never thought outside the box and certainly never had any idea what to do to enhance my features or bring out the real me – but every single time I’ve been back to see Taylor she’s always got a great idea and it always results in a trillion compliments everywhere I go. I’ve gone from having my first pixie cut done by her and I never thought it’d be my style and she really made it look AMAZING I was always ALWAYS the type that was usually super self conscious and never knew what would work with my style and personality – but Taylor GETS me AND she has made every single style and cut and color completely unique and true to ME and NOT just a basic cut with boring color– she can take a drab style and make it into something brand new and fresh and just never even seen before. If you want to look like you flew out to LA or Europe to work with a whoop de do celebrity hair stylist then you HAVE TO get in t
I’ve had my hair done at top fancy shmancy salons even by famous hair stylists and Taylor seriously blows them ALL away!
I’ve never had a bad style or color or cut EVER and I am VERY careful with who I have even touch my hair because I’ve had some awful AWFUL salon experiences (and surprisingly they’ve been at the most expensive and famous salons!)
Taylor really knows her craft and she’s super creative and you show her a picture and by the time you step outside again you look like a damn celebrity! She’s got serious skills and this girl needs to open her own place ASAP! I’ve had celebrities and even their stylists ask me who does my hair.
If you want to get your hair done by someone that’s gonna be the next big person in beauty you better get your butt over to lemon tree cuz this girl is SERIOUSLY top notch!

I’m a huge fan of lemontree, having gone there on a friend’s recommendation, and Liz is one of the best stylists I’ve had. I have had highlights, lowlights, updo’s and hair cuts there ranging from trims to taking off 6 inches of my hair. Is it the same as going to a ‘spa/​salon’ atmosphere wise? No, so if that’s what you’re looking for, this is not going to be a good fit for you. If you’re looking for a solid hair cut, a fun new color, and a good price, this is a perfect place.

This place is just awful! I was there 3 hours as they had to color my hair three times before my roots came out more or less the same as the rest of my hair. The haircut… well that I won’t even mention. And they even increased their price, saying they had to use different colors, so it was costing me more… Really!!! On the top of it all, when I went home I realized that my purple shirt’s collar got all discolored. On the next day I went back and asked to speak with the owner, who told me that the haircut was not HER fault, as she wasn’t the one who cut it, but she could fix it for me!!! Ridiculous!!! It gets better: when I showed her my shirt, she said there was nothing she could do for me: I shouldn’t have worn such an expensive shirt coming to the hairdresser… GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! CONGRATULATIONS

THIS SALON IS HORRIBLE!!! I was in here for over 4 hours just getting my roots done. They turned my blonde hair GREY with yellow roots to start with and they all tried to tell me «oh it looks so nice !» While almost in tears I told them it wasn’t want i wanted at all and i just wanted my roots touched up, it was like i was total inconveince to them. They tried to turn it a nicer blonde, i felt so uncomfortable the whole time as they where speaking in spanish but clearly laughing & talking about me. After being there for hours i went home still unhappy. I got up the courage to call back the next day and tell them i wasn’t happy. When i went back ALL of the hair dressers told me «Nothing we can do about it, we bleached it too much your hair will snap» I explained that all i wanted was my roots not a total colour change. They were BEYOND rude. I have never felt so comfortable. The hair dresser that did my hair had no idea what she was doing and had to keep asking fellow workers. She finally put a another colour though and when i asked her to tone it she refused and said «no thats all i am doing!» They made out like it was my fault. ZERO STARS!

I love this place! It’s cheap and I get an awesome haircut and color!
I always go to Liz, but I have tried a few others before her. There are a few people there that really should stick to just men’s buzzcuts, but Liz is absolutely amazing! For about $ 100 I can get a cut, color, and highlights and it looks fantastic. I get compliments all the time about my hair and I always tell them who did it and where I got it done.
I highly recommend this place!

This place is awful the management is rude, they use chaep products, make you wait and the place is FILTHY! Go somewhere else. This place may seem cheap but it is a waste of money!

I have been going to Lemon Tree in Mamaroneck for several years now and I have always been very happy with my cuts, different colors, and interesting conversation. This is a very busy salon so sometimes you might have to wait a little bit, but there is a great selection of magazines and nice company to keep you entertained. The value is incredible — you get a great haircut and still have some cash in your pocket! I got a great color and cut yesterday and when I checked in (for the first time– still getting used to Unilocal) I read a very lengthy (UGH) review that was quite negative. I obviously strongly disagree as this has never been my experience. I love Lemon Tree and am happy to not pay $ 100.00 for a decent cut and nice stylists (including the owner)! Just thought I’d offer another opinion.

Men probably should just stay away from Lemontree. You can get a cheaper cut with better results in my opinion at a typical barber shop. That being said — I’m sure the ladies love it here.

I went to this place JUST because a friend of mine recommended it. After I saw her great and neat haircut so I gave it a try. I was so excited to go. So I went there, one of their crews took care of me very well and all the staffs were very friendly and nice. I asked the lady who did my hair who was the owner of this place because I wanted to tell her how much I liked my hairdo and my friend was their regular. She pointed at a brunette lady (mid 40’s-50’s). Then it was time to pay, I paid with the owner (that brunette lady) and told her the whole thing. The only thing that she replied me back was «Aha…yeh…aha.aha «with a fake smile and she looked at me from head to toe like I shouldn’t be there.
I came back home and told my husband. He said to me that I took it so personal maybe she had a bad day. Ok fine! Maybe he was right. So I went there for the second time, I saw the owner and said hi to her. She gave me a same look again with an attitude like she hated me for years. I kept going there for another 3 – 4 times even I felt kind of uncomfortable with the owner’s attitude on me. I LOVED the staffs and my hairdresser because she did such a great great job. When the owner saw other customers she was so nice and friendly with them EXCEPT me. What did I do?!? I’m a happy person I said hi to everybody and I was a big tipper. She kept doing the same thing EVERY SINGLE TIME I’ve been there.
After my last visit I decided not to go there EVER again (even my hairdresser did a great job). Why I have to pay for my hairdo and feel so uncomfortable from one person there? Especially that person is the OWNER. I’m a local business owner as well but at least I have more service mind and know how to treat customers no matter what colors, backgrounds, ages and appearances. Customers are people who bring their money to the business (she should learn that !!!) There are so many Hair Salons in the area with a warm welcome atmosphere, greater, cleaner and more upper class anyway plus MUCH BETTER owner’s attitude. Bye Bye Lemontree@ Mamaroneck.

I always get my hair cut here. Just a quick trim when I’m home from college. fast, reliable, and do a great overall job that I can trust =]
